definitely agree with adding the visual respawn points to dungeons. If i had 100 gold every time someone asked a variation of "where do i release?" i would have so many gold caps.
I'm very happy to hear that hero track gear drops from Delves. Lately it's been pure pain running keys in Season 4. If I can just skip low level keys with delves and jump straight into 6-10's with full hero gear that'd be fantastic.
Delves=scenarios at least in my head, I do wish they had like an endless difficulty scaling tho. I would gladly push devles even if there wasn't a reward attached just because it would give me something to do between keys. Obviously I know thats not who the content is aimed for with delves but it would be nice if they made soloable content also be enjoyable for everyone even if it was just as a way to pass the time, I thought torghast was going to be that then they made it mandatory and this is a perfect time to make up for it imo.
It would be interesting to see a build a party mode built off of this. Different champions that you could farm from group, world, and end game content. Get unique delve related tier sets, etc... It might actually be a way to fill the void between content updates.
This could be great for the devs to test new mob mechanics outside of competitive environments. Maybe lean on cool abilities like the Plunderstorm mobs. It could also be used to teach someone how to do dungeons and group content without having randoms pushing them to go faster. Additionally gearing alts or maybe being boosted by your maxed out friend so you can get higher track gear and vault.
The graveyard tech is really nice in here. Def agree it would be amazing to see in M+. Just have the respawn points unlock after each boss kill. Simple and effective =)
for someone who is mostly at the very highend of pve content, I am pleasantly surprised at how well thought out your input is. genuinely hope someone at blizzard is taking notes
I was really hopefuly for delves as something I could do, but having done up to and including tier 11, the only changes within a delve seem to be mob spawns and collectibles. It remained cleanse the same 5 shrooms in the same 5 locations. I wish objectives would change too, otherwise I'm worried they will get boring simply because they are kinda static
Is there anything in the delves that make a certain one different from other runs of it? If you just do one over and over a few times, is it always the same?
Did it on mage aswell and would've just really liked for more to be cc'able. As much as possible let me use my frost novas and dbs in place of the dh self healing. I feel like that's the most fun way of balancing caster vs. meele.
Yeah, I wasn't playing a caster (Ret Paladin) but I ran into plenty of situations where I simply wasn't allowed to use my toolkit or even positioning to my advantage. I noticed that some enemies (in addition to being immune to CC) would straight up kill you through walls and pillars. If I'm given a resource (like the candle) that depletes when I move, perhaps allowing me to use my ability to move out of LoS would be a great incentive to keep an eye on said candle? I think the worst example I ran into was during a +10 delve when I got to a narrow hallway near the end and was faced with two mini bosses (not part of the delve itself): Both of them were completely immune to CC and one of them was shielded by the other to take 99% less damage, alternating between the two. Mechanics were non-existent and they'd simply stand there casting direct-damage spells at me until I died for 1+ million per cast, even through walls. I think the only way I could've completed that delve was if I had an invisibility potion with me so that I could straight up skip past them. I'm not expecting it to go live like this, but I'd be lying if I wasn't worried with the release date looming.
I hope they get this right. This could be the ultimate pay-off for the new alt-friendly design goals. This is the perfect low pressure place to play around with new specs/classes/roles/talent builds. If they can get the fun/challenge/reward/accessibility balance right this could be huge.
@@dotftw1 Follower dungeons have no scaling difficulty and reward gear that will quickly be irrelevant. I don't think it's going to be the best option for learning a new class/spec/build for other high end content, but within delves you can do whatever you want without risk of social pressure to min max everything and hopefully still find them fun, challenging and rewarding.
I’ve hopped through a few on the beta, if they make the higher levels challenging enough (hard to tell with the auto-gear scaling) and the pick-up powers entertaining, I could see myself killing time in delves fairly regularly.
They look decent to me. Not a hardcore mythic raider but try and get AOTC each tier and 2k+ mythic score, and I will be for sure exploring delves. Deffo more interested in the 9-12 range and what cosmetics you can get - and the level 13 secret one could be fun. Hopefully theyve learnt from Torghast!
i agree with what you said, im definitely who delves are targeted at. (a non raider or m+ anymore). And having done some of the lower ones on the beta they are cool but have some work to make them fun to draw in people who come back to wow
This is suppose to be the biggest new feature of the game. The fact that Myth track player won't find anything in it means, it's not content for them. This expansion is shaping to be a disapointment.
What's the gear from the vault? Is it just heroic track open world and leveling gear, or does it give items from dungeons and raids as well? This could be pretty annoying if there's another Arcanocrystal and you are desperately hoping to get it from delve vault.
like it or not for some of you , it's another Option to enjoy the game , and i absolutely look forward to it , it's paradise for some players out there trust me
Loving the delves but they seem super overtuned right now for my 541 ilvl and healing Brann isn’t cutting it for my dps but it’s still super cool and fun and low stress go at your own pace little scenarios. I agree they need to add more powers and take some lessons from MOP Remox into these
Visions were bad, though. You could only farm a few phials per week, and as soon as you die - it's wasted with no option of replay. For some specs, 4-5 masks weren't doable even in a close to BiS gear due to poor tuning (or you should've gotten some separate gear with a ton of vers on it, and god knows how much we loved farming azerite gear lol). And the loot was still worse than from some +15-ish keys that were incomparably easier to complete.
I know that they don't want delves to feel "mandatory" but their rewards not being on par with raid/m+ rewards makes it feel weird to actually call them an "end game pillar" if they're not going to be a pillar that stands as tall as the other two. I like the concept of delves offering a solo play end game experience because right now there aren't many options to gauge your individual skill in challenging content outside of a group setting. I only raid at a heroic level right now, but I think it would be great if the 8-11 range of delves offered actual mythic level solo content. Then I would have a clearer indication of when I'm ready to start looking for a mythic raiding guild based off if/when I start being capable of clearing 8-11 delves by myself
@@SacredFeline The only thing separating a pillar from just normal endgame is having a vault slot ig. It's definitely a good endgame for a lot of people, if it gave the same gear as mythic+ or raids it'd be pretty annoying
I feel like you should be able to do as many delves as you want to get gear that you could normally get by doing a mythic plus. Make the higher tier difficult enough to warrent the reward. maybe make these give a currency if you dont want to give out gear itself. These should be a third gearing path but maybe because they are soloable they are scared to make em rewarding.
I'm the type of person Delves were designed for. My biggest disappointment is the lack of significant boss mechanics. I actually played delves the same day I finally played the FFXIV variant dungeons. Most of the delve was more interesting, with some fun environmental factors, a fine balance of trash, cool themes, etc. But I wish the final encounter in a delve has something like the complexity of variant dungeon bosses in FFXIV. I want to feel like I am learning, improving, and overcoming a mechanical challenge. I'm a casual player in Wow, but I play MMOs because I like the mechanics in encounters. So far delves haven't delivered that as much as I'd like.
I wonder how easy they are if you are not playing a tank. I think the mobs should have a damage aura buff when you are specced into tank (or a debuff when not a tank)
I dont want powers or blasting i want something that brings a challenge where my build matters for me and my best friend to have something to do together
man, it really really really bums me out that it stops at hero track. I don't have an issue with it being hard, as long as it doesn't become obsolete as soon as my guild has heroic+ raid on farm.
Agree. Almost as he doesn't want to step on Blizzard's toes but the feedback needs to be really clear. They won't listen but at least we will have done our part in that case Luckily I'll only run them at extremely low tiers. If I find fun aspects later THEN I'll increase the tiers. Until then it's another system I'll have minimal contact with. Just like Torghy. I do those more once they've been nerfed n thus become more fun
If you think of everything in terms of time and reward versus time spent, then Delves are basically the next M+ in terms of saving time. It's like the next step under the drip of refinement underneath M+ in the time universe. I don't even care if they're fun at this point; think about it, we run BGs, we run Islands, then run keys, we run the same stuff over and over, what matters is how much TIME it takes. This is a war over our time.
I can't see a future in which this won't get hated by the community. Torghast is infinitely better, and Torghast got shit on because it's mandatory, repetitive and long. Just like this.
Please Blizzard I beg you. Leave this as optional content. Torghast was ruined because it became required. I don't mind that there are some reasonable rewards available from delves, but if it ever becomes "correct" for our raid/key mains to do them past a week or two, that's going to be awful.
Withered training was repeating the same thing every week, and as soon as you got any gear you were speedrunnig thru it one shoting everything, was it fun? Sure. Is it over rated? No doubt.
As a mixed player (pvp/pve) the new pvp system is trash. The current conquest numbers mean you will get 1 extra piece of gear at week 10. How does that equal losing pvp gear rewards from the vault. every week before week 10? Really hope blizz fixes this.
delves are only good for the start of a season they only give up to m+6 and delves dont count towards your io score. delves are only good for a few extra pieces of loot at the start of a season.
super disappointed that they aren't actually challenging and aren't giving end game gear - you (Blizzard) can't call it an endgame pillar if it doesn't give endgame gear
Gotta say its pretty depressing that one of the major features of the expansion is something where people are saying that the best thing about it is that the game doesn't force you to play it. Anyone else find this absolutely insane? This is one of the biggest games in the world, and we can't even get something to be excited about on an expansion launch.
blizzard hates pvprs so they removed the vault so now pve players can get tier way before pvp and pvp can just "earn conquest faster" so that dont = a tier piece pvp players always left out
This is literally the same kind of spin as what torghast was in shadowlands. 8:57. They are doing this because they are lazy and taking the cheap way out while charging everyone $$$ anything that is a generic fit all class all spec is just lazy.
Fortunately they arent tied to legendaries (yet) or anything like that. The biggest issue would be if the heroic vault reward from delves can be delve-specific trinkets (which i think there are), as there is a slim chance those may be stronger than mythic level trinkets for a few specs. In that case those specs "BiS" would require them to fill their delve vault each week for the chance at that trinket.
Look this content is for solo open world players.. those that are not going to do raids nor mythic plus garbage.those of that have had enough with the sports garbage world first stupidness..who have had with with go -go-go.toxic elite players who are rude nasty and think there wow gods....tww you can do follower dungeons from lvl 10-70..you can do delves with NPCs..you can now even get back into professions with npc doing orders..this will be heaven..
Only up to hero track gear in the vault makes this dead on arrival unfortunately. Really shame that we cant have a new proper pillar added to the game after so many years.
