Yeah no chance for Travis haha. Travis is so far from top form and Devon Is a beast right now. But when travis is in form that left arm is one of the greatest ever
about to say the same thing. These 2 have the mouths to really grind you up. Bagent is one of the most explosive arms upon release, but we all know about Devon... if he was able to power through that explosion, then his endurance will kill you.
@@felixchien1664 maybe you need to watch some of his other videos. The guy can definitely hit fast and hard and powerful. But yes he also has a mouth..lol... Which can be entertaining. In fact many say Devin learned his trash talk from Travis. Making arm-wrestling into somewhat of a WWE spectacle which has brought a lot of attention to the sport worldwide and brought in a lot more money which is actually been a very good thing for the sport since it is very lowly funded compared to things like professional sports like the NBA, NFL etc... These guys work their asses off in the gym, they are amazing athletes yet they make a fraction of those other athletes. All for the Love of arm wrestling sport my friend
@@natev1956 I've been following Devon and arm wrestling for a while (not very avid..just nominally). I've watched enough to know that Devon got his trash talking from Travis Bagent. Devon was nowhere like Bagent with his trash talk until later. Devon was respectful and very cerebral. Bagent on the other hand was EXTREMELY disrespectful. I agree that disrespect is what sells (eg Conor McGregor). Drama is what sells. It's just unfortunate to me that to launch some of these sports into the limelight requires unsportsmanlike conduct.
I love Devon Larrett. He's a national treasure and hands down the future ambassador of arm wrestling if he's not already. Guy is just the best in my opinion.
Bagent was the blowup man for the sport that never came to be and seeing the rooftop supermatch a couple years back was awesome between the two. Bagent, hardheaded as he was, remained the poormans champ and never climbed with Larrat and I know a lot of people not just me, have to be feeling for what could have....should have been today.
The rooftop match was like 11 years ago. And Travis was one of the best for about 20 years. Definitely one of the best all time left handed and was at the top or near that right handed for a time.
Bagent was alrdy at the top of the sport. He was left handed number 1 only didn't get a match with denis. Right handed he was the best on the planet multiple times, but just didnt officially reach number 1. He reached the top and quit while he was healthy which is a good thing
watching Travis Bagent am wrestle on TV made me watch more. I don't know why he gets so much hate. Yeah he's loud but he brought attention to the sport with his WWE persona. Brzenk made me respect the sport. Larrat made it fun too. I think an wrestling got as far as it did because of these 3(at least in the states). The good the bad and the ugly.
I think the difference is Travis was always kind of a dick with his cockiness. Devon is cocky in a more humorous manner. I mean come on, "I want you to remember." - "What you got, Jerry? What you got, Jerry? I am way, waaay, WAAAY TOO STRONG!" That is some epic stuff. Travis just talked shit and whined about something every round.
Yall need to actually watch some recent videos of travis talking about devon's upcoming match with levan. He knows exactly who he is and what he could be/have been. He even self-admits to being a devon hater (out of jealousy) while loving devon at the same time. Give the hating a rest already.

@@user9675 lets pretend that devon isnt what hes always been, which is a defensive puller who bleeds people out first before going for the jugular lol. That short burst of strength etc that it takes to stop the first hit off of "go" is one element to the game and what former world class puller whos still young and was known for there explosivity off of "go" hasnt stopped Devon in an unofficial or official FTM match? Also, devon wasnt trying 100% to blast through travis cause he didnt wanna potentially hurt the guy. Regardless, someone stopping devon off of go (mind you Devon allowed Travis to take everything during the setup lol, travis fouled in like 4 different self beneficial ways and devon still caught him with ease and put the sword to his ass. Also, we know what happens when both guys are prime (actually id argue that the 300ish lb Devon vs Mike wouldve beaten any other version of himself including the mighty 2011ish version). Devon is better right and travis is better left prime for prime. However devon was way better right and travis was only slightly better left.
@@mikimiyazaki travis acknowledged devon took "a little bit" back in the setup btw.... in a competition setting travis is getting to the straps and refs grip. if a REAL ref does his job they wouldnt let devon do what he did vs mt in their last match during a refs grip- so there should be no room for devon to start pull/reposition before the go. even John Brzenk noted Devon's poor behavior during the setup/noting the refs can be the deciding factor of a match.... MT is way overrated imo and John even said MT is just regular guy without his king's move. and Devon is getting way too much credit IMO for WAL matches(chaffe, hutchings, jerry, etc) that could have totally different outcomes if refs would actually calls devon's fouls, and if they were on a traditional table it would be even worse for devon. Travis won Zloty right handed btw, and when travis is in shape he always runs through devon lefty

Devon was feared to the point (and Neil ran shit and was the man who put devons matches together for years and during the "devon never pulled Europeans" timeline) that devon had a hard time getting matches. Devon asked neil to get him numerous elite guys to pull and they all turned the offer down! Lol thats straight from neil pickup in response to that stupid theory. Devon did multiple tours in Afghanistan as a special forces warrior but " he was scared to pull Europeans"..... Devon said johns making excuses for a loss that hasnt happened yet will have his fans doing it. He also said johns inducing his fans to pity him 😂. Bro i fully agree/admit that john is the greatest armwrestler to ever live. However hes nowhere near what he used to be and im 1000% convinced that devon in his last match showed up stronger and better than any other version of himself by a mile. Even the 2011 version etc. They had some raging barn burners back when john was still john but how is John whos nowhere near prime, gonna defeat a devon who we have tangible evidence (personally i dont buy Michael saying he wasnt himself, in that michael was give or take the same guy whos pulled the last few years. Slightly better or slightly worse than his best, and devon absolutely manhandled and very very easily overpowered him. It didnt come down to certain choices and perfect gameplay any more than him being ao much stronger than Todd. John could never do what devon did to todd, and the only time I'm aware that he pulled km todd was basically him and jerry conspiring against him to wear him out. @@user9675 and thats just bs about the "wrong man winning the match based on reffing" lol, devon had phenomenal wins in the matches youre talking about. Finding a way to gas dave, transitioning smoothly from km, to press etc vs todd. Catching jerrys press like a brick wall etc .
it's not about the money he could have did his thing promoting and competing but the sport got real and Travis knew he could not hang with the big boys and left. his pride is through the roof and he can't deal with not beating the best!
No Limits clearly has next to no competition!! The strange thing is that I still get the impression that Travis comes out of things like this thinking that he looks good.
