I have a ton of mats, but the idea of having to leave, reset the dungeon, and head back in is monotonous to the extreme. Even more so with the Ice Cavern.
I agree. I don’t necessarily have problem on resetting the dungeons. But why do we need to traverse a dungeon just to kill a boss? Why not just enter the dungeon and fight the boss immediately? This makes no sense blizzard
would be nice to be excited about seeing a unique drop again, almost all of them need reworks, plus they really need to add a bunch more so its not always the same ones dropping
You're right the uniques need a rework. I'm surprised they didn't buff the stats on them given the sweeping changes to regular legendary gear. That and the merchants only selling yellow and blue items are perhaps the two biggest oversights this season in terms of gear
that's what makes the game addicting and enjoyable and you want it to be boring and the same as every other system in the game and also is enabling an economy without it, there is no economy and you're done in a week or have to farm weeks of mats to upgrade 1%
Hopefully making the devs play sorc so they understand how to fix it is next. For some reason the devs are PETRIFIED by sorcs being good. Remember when sorcs were fun in beta at level 25 and so they nerfed chain lightning so bad we don't even pretend that a chain lightning build may exist?
I just leveled a chain lightning sorc and it felt good. Wasn’t great at pushing tiers in the pit, but I don’t think every build needs to be good at everything.
End game content is the main thing. Getting to 100, glyphs to 21 is easy. Then it's just Uber unique (which you don't necessarily need) and then mastercrafting. Don't need to defeat lillith as she drops nothing good
@@SuperLifestream Yeah, her drops are trash, but she gives a spark. A spark I would very much want if the ubers were actually worth af. But yeah, I want new end game content as well. Absolutely. That with actually useful ubers and I'll be happy. And I'm a single player RPG gamer at heart. I just play ARPGs between the big releases. But I did enjoy what little story D4 had and am looking forward to the expansion.
@@Ancaruin Oh shit! I forgot all about set gear. It's been so long since I played D2 (I skipped D3). Yes, I'm all for it if they ever get around to it.
Long Raids that take 4+ players, Tormented Dungeons, full leaderboards in everything, etc. Lots of areas for them to improve. Campaign tormented difficulty.
I have an entire stash tab FULL of like 400+ living steel, zir blood, varshan body parts, distilled fear etc that I just can’t be bothered to summon for the umpteenth time. It’s incredibly boring to have to zone in and out of these dungeons to then one shot a boss for 1 material. It’s just so lame.
That's D4 endgame for ya. Either that or pits AKA greater rifts. But don't worry guys, season 5 and the upcoming expansion will SURELY give us new endgame 😆
Getting a resplendent spark in the last iron wolf cache was a great addition. In prior seasons, they gave us a selection of trash yellows for the last cache. Hope they keep this and make it repeatable for alts.
@lawlestest yea I do have a total of 325% xp boost 😆 still it's satisfying to be able to try all classes if I wanted to since I can level up super fast during 1 season
Having to leave dungeon. Vote to reset and then walk all the way back to the boss summoning area is soul crushing. We already took the time to get the materials they don't need to waste our time further with 3 loading screens and a walk
The First Descendant be here July 2nd. Gonna be playing that until Season 5 D4 drops in October. Stopped playing back in Season 3 and just been playing other games but Season 5 is looking like it could be an amazing experience 🤞😓
This is just my opinion but I quit this season once I reached like 92 or something like that as a necro. Same issue I had with last season when I was a hota barb. Takes too long grinding for a boss to just do 1 fast fight and it’s over and it’s a lottery slim chance if you get anything cool. Why can’t we just have the freedom to fight up to the bosses like in Diablo 2 and farm them? I had fun making the rounds and beating each boss in Diablo 2 in hell mode solo and was like wow I found a shako from the cow level or andariel and I did it all by myself that’s badass or I found skullders. I also wasn’t in a full game with people where your chances of magic finding goes up I think it’s cheating in Diablo 2 because I can’t have the same in solo play. People with no friends just get fucked. If Diablo 4 wants to keep people like me playing longer drop the dumbass mats just stop. I don’t have time from my 9-5 and family to farm mats all month just to hit a lottery ticket once that has a slim chance of winning anything cool. When I could just hit them every time I play and have better chances. There’s a reason why people are going back in the past and playing great single player games. I do enjoy Diablo 4 but now I feel also like my original OG characters from pre season and season 1 etc are useless because they got outdated gear basically having to start over with those. I for one would find it more fun for a LFG system that Warcraft has. Would love to que for nightmare dungeons and smash out some levels. The previous system made it slightly more fun with multiple chests at the end. Atleast give me like a group of loot goblins at the end. I think lfg button would be cool. I don’t like to get my own group. In Warcraft for when you’re pushing keys in the game you have to find your own group basically I hate it so much I stopped playing. No matter how good the game got I knew after I level I end up in same boat. Same with Diablo 4 I know the journey to 100 is cool but after you get there it’s boring for me. So now I don’t get bored at level 50ish anymore….cool well now I’m bored at level 92. Still need to stop catering to RU-vidrs and people that play all day. There’s path of exile for you to play if you want a never ending grind. Diablo 4 before was like you getting a girls number and you were excited until it rang to a Wendy’s. Now with this season you find out the woman is real but she’s a stripper working at men’s gentleman club and all you get is blue balls. So right now Diablo 4 to me is doing better but it’s not quite there yet. I’m done at 92 and feel like I got blue balls. Has the attraction but can’t deliver in the end.
After I seen you play the sorc, I dumped my druid and started my frozen orb sorc and love it! I tried a dozen times to get that unique helm but eh, I might be near the end for this season. ❤🎉😊
The problem isn't having to farm mats to then summon the bosses that need farming on repeat. It's that the bosses you have to farm for the uber mats are all just one shots. So you spend all this time running around collecting mats, which is a huge time sink, then summon the boss and literally one-shot it, and then repeat that boss part over and over. There's nothing about it that feels rewarding. Especially since Duriel and Uber Duriel are complete RNG. Uber Lilith is a great boss fight. Why not just have her drop the uber uniques with like a 33% drop rate? Downing her with a character (especially on HC) really feels like an achievement, and the rewards should reflect that. Instead we have a giant pushover of a time sync that gate-keeps all the rewards with RNG and the best fight in the game has a trash loot table.
@@badger297 No because a dev actually said november in a showcase, it may have been acidently leaked and its not 100% confirmed so saying most likely is apt.
I'd like to see bosses get a rework. Like a complete reassesment of what bosses are and what they do. Slow the fights down a bit but make the fights more calculated and consequential, add personality and identity, create more theatrical moments, add unique and iconic abilities, indroduce more environmental interactions, create better telegraphing of consequential abilities through unique sound and visual markers, use phases / stages of the fights to tell a story (show dont tell).
I want a system that rewards exp after 100. I liked the paragon system so i can dump hours and hours into the game and still feel a sense of progression beyond an item upgrade every 5 days.
I feel like the soluion to Boss materials is to reduce them too a common material / be able to convert any boss material to another one of the same tier.
Suggestions for White, Blue , and Yellow items: White = no stats but has multiple sockets(pants and chest can have up to 6, others 4) Blue =can not have sockets but can have highest main stat values, even more than legendries Yellow =can not have legendary affix imprinted but have highest skills point affixes.
While this game has got much better since launch the overall game has a core problem. Youre either getting one shot by everything later on or you're one shotting bosses for a chance to get a slight % increase on your rolls.
I would like to see D4 treat NM DUngeons like Path of exile Treats Maps, add seasonal mechanics in NM DUngeons that contain new types of Loot. Also i would like to travel through a bosses area like it was in D2, you Ran thru Duriels chambers to get to duriel, you Fight Thru Baal's Throne Room to get to baal, instead of just going into a dam near empty cave, and spawn the boss. And i like DM's Idea from Runescape.
You could swear the decision makers/designers for D4 have never even played D2. Your ideas are good and not even advanced and yet somehow I have no faith that they will put in stuff like this.
Most People don't realize that now, and also in the future, people rotate between those ARPGs + other games -> POE into LastEpoch -> into Diablo4 -> into other games (not necessarly in this order) -> repeat => its normal to get bored with something after a month now => we are not in 2000s anymore 1 month for Diablo4 is a big W today
I disagree, I mean 1 week into this season and I could hard carry Tormented Duriel and Andy. If you have Mats for rota, I don't care if you come to the boss naked. Now if they make bosses harder in the expansion, then maybe it becomes an issue, but for right now. Really gear doesn't matter as much as having Mats to for more summons.
Solos are missing out on boss loot too, allot of people and streamers run tormented bosses in groups so you get x3 more loot, each paying for 1 summon per rotation. I would love the extra loot but i cba to join a discord with randoms for it. That is poor game design.
My issue with bosses is once you pass a certain level the loot they drop sucks. Now I’m stuck killing a boss that gives me crappy loot that I have to scrap only to get a mucus egg or that stone from Gregoire. Then I can go after Duriel or Andariel and that’s it. At some point it would be nice to just go to an alter and exchange or craft the summoning material then I can target farm the bosses.
I own all the diablos on pc and xbox series X I've been loving this season, so far I've levelled sorcerer, necromancer and druid upto lvl 💯 but not done any reworking but really enjoyed it although I'm not strong enough for the pit cheers for the vids mate 🍻
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think they didn't have a season mechanic because of fixing itemization. I'd put money on they took the idea from the even number seasonal team originally for #4 and decided to delay it to season 5 so that way they could have a positive experience for players leading into the release of the expansion followed by another theme from the same team directly after to continue driving sales.
Ill give you my take on The Spirit Born, they mixed He-man and Black Panter together and Spirit Born was well-born or someone really likes Masters of the Universe which for me is awesome since im from the 80s. Let's hope the class has some really cool powers and techniques.
Season 4 has been good im happy ngl had my fun still playing not as much since all gear is 12 out of 12 i just hope that uber unique a little less rare since tempering is out i only farmed tormented uber bosses for a uber unique as a cosmetic over 100 runs and not 1 so of a player has to farm another character for basically a cosmetic its not so good for casuals
Bring back adventure mode with regular rift and grift. Also make it so you can search for parties in the menu to make it easier to find a group to do rifts/pit 😊
They are remaking D2 not D3, but they do seem to be realising that the common knowledge that D2 was the best Diablo is actually incorrect And now they have nicked Items stats from D3 to fix the new D2 and more people are playing the Pit more than anywhere else I hope they just ditch the D2 idea and just remake D3 especially that magical 4 player meta
@@KevinMannix-sf5zk I hope they just make D4, they can take things from both D2 and D3, but WTF would we want another remake, of another game/movie/tv show. It would be nice to see something unique to D4 that is fun.
@@Greybush041 The trouble is there are only so many games to play,. So they have to decide which game they are making D2 single player D3 multiplayer with 4 player 2dps 2 tanks The trouble with D$ is its trying to make both camps happy and it cant , it has to choose
I'm officially done with this game. Life long gamer, huge Diablo fan and I can't do it anymore. This game is an unbelievably stupid waste of time designed to make you do the same boring shit endlessly without a point to doing it. The last 50+ hours I have played the game my gear is still the same and what few upgrades of gotten have been destroyed by tempering. I'm done, uninstalled and will not be buying the DLC. Pile of shit.
Blizzard need to bring the affixes on Uber and standard uniques in line w legendary items. They should also be capable of having 1 temper on every item making them the potentially very powerful much sought after items. They also need to eliminate/rework a ton of them as the abilities on offer are absolute garbage w what legendary items are capable of offering. More items like Scoundrels Kiss, Fractured Winterglass, Dolmen Stone etc. More interesting abilities vs "20%x damage vs CC'd" etc Tempering is also a major headache. Enough RNG with obtaining items w good GA. When you require 2 tempers both of which come a manual w 4-5 potential affixes the number of rerolls nearly guarantees bricking the best items. Eliminate the bricking or give us a means of resetting the temper rolls
I think some mechanics need to be intertwined, like nightmare dungeons and the pit, like some kind of glyph or runes cannot do without mastering the gear, or use a pit material because this nightmere dungeon is above then 100, and this kind of glyph or runes it was necessary to deep forward in the pit, something like that
Bring yes, but it won't hold many of them due to the difficulty level of PoE vs. a casual D4 😅 people will open the skill tree and most of them will nope the f out of it really fast, even with all the tooltips in the world, let's be real. That being said PoE 2 surely has a way bigger chance to gather a way bigger audience with all the changes.
I think the loop of mat farming and boss running does need a rework, I do think that just letting players fight bosses over and over would be less boring. The material gathering and then feeling like you need to min/max it by only doing 4 player rotations adds a ton of boring work to just fighting bosses. Yes there should be other things you can do (like the Pit for materials for masterworking) but players should absolutely just be allowed to fight bosses imo.
Even Season hit another Home Run with season four like they did in Two. Odd Season, we'll see what they do with season five. I'm curious especially with "new skills/paragon boards"
The problem with boss mechanics i have - i got 200-300 spawn materials - that means i have to go 50+ times fight, port out, reset, again.. instead of planting like 100 materials in the altar and have them spawn over and over again until its empty..
Ubers needs a huge rework for me. My very first tormented Duriel run of the season I got a Shako with a greater affix on CDR & also a doombringer. So I'm basically done (first week) of farming for Ubers because none a really required to make a build powerful. I will say I have loved putting a builder together, I have a necro/Barb at 100 & I'm now working on a sorc. But there's till no real endgame to build for, pushing the pit for me just isn't worth it
More endgame activites should be the one and only priority, give players more ways to play and farm instead of always trying to perfect everything, it will never be perfect.
One thing that's drove me mad and it's having thousands of rawhide bundled herbs etc. I Wish we had a recipe to change other matts into like angel breath or veiled crystals. We had this in the game at one point to trade herbs into another kind to then craft our elixirs.
The reason why s4 took longer for the complaints to emerge was because s3 was such hot garbage that people have a lower baseline of expectation so when s4 actually delivered an otherwise pretty standard seasonal update, people were happy for a change so the complaints took longer to come out. In short, it's because s3 suck so hard.
We need Endgame with different activities, the ones we have feel about the same, we need 2 or 3 more bosses per season that have mechanics as good as Lilith’s, also we need a loot filter and they need to fix the RNG for tempering and masterworking items it takes forever to get a single item right, hopefully we see this changes soon
Seems I've gotten bored before i got to max level this season. Stopped at level 85ish on necro, barb and sorc, 50ish on rogue and druid. And i think I'm good.
I was one of the most critical of Diablo 4, quitting after the season 2 disappointment, i decided to jump back in and think the item updates and QOL features are really good. They seem to be turning it around.
I think it would be cool if we could resummon bosses without leaving every time, but the boss would become more and more stronger every time it is resummoned and the reward should scale as well Kinda like a Survivor mode with a boss And like after specific number of resummons the bosses should gain aditional moves and affixes etc... Kind of an enless run possibility with girindig and challenging players at the same time Could have leaderboards as well Warframe players get what im talking about
Overall I really enjoyed S4, completed basically everything, got some Ubers. Among all the relevant feedback I’d like to see the boss mat economy adjusted, I should be able to farm enough Stygian stones to never need to play against lvl 80 bosses.
Season 4 was the clutch for D4 😅 was just pure downhill before that. I'm glad it's working what they are doing and hopefully they'll succeed in the future aswell... Also did my first hardcore playthrough in any game ever and killed lilith there too, leveled many characters too.
They need to do more activity more improvement mechanics when you start to improve gear making bosses less challenging, another thing is that they need to add and improve Uber uniques. Or an item or gear progression for end game that keeps the game long while. I think they need to focus adding in game content for people to be alive
Made all 5 100s with seasonal xp boost...maxed some glyphs for each...stopped playing. Pit is useless. All the gear goes eternal. No one plays Eternal.
Pit isn't useless but it's repetetive a bit for sure. Somehow Abattoir of Zir was more fun than the pit, not sure why. May be cuz hellborne vs rest of abattoir wasn't such stark difference
Pit is like the best content in the game since release. The game finally has at least a tiny endgame which is getting better gear and running pits as high as possible
Bring a COW LEVEL!!! Honestly the only thing I would want as a casual gamer is a trade menu that allows you to see the items people are selling, instead of asking in the trade chat or on discord. Additionally having an Uber should greatly improve your build would it worth while defeating tormented bosses.
I just wish that the early bosses scaled to 100 as you level, instead of having to farm level 85 etc... versions and not being able to use their loot because its not 925, I do not want to waste stones on these bosses to get valid loot, and then with scaled bosses at least the loot is worth it.
With the jungle theme around the new class i want a jungle area and we fighting mokeys and stuff lol i think Blizzard would do it good. They the first game to weaponize a porcupine i think they so cool aha
S4 is what preseason should have been. The base game. We probably need another 2 seasons of updates, tweaks and features at the very least before this is an actual good game.
I love played this season and dearth is honestly spot on in everything hes said this far I’m about done with this season as well because I’ve got nothing else to do and frankly, I feel like I got my money worth for the game at this point Won’t be playing again and moving on at this point
Tormented bosses are too hard for the rewards they give. Tormented should give a unique that no other boss or drop in the game, that would make me want to fight them, same with the Lilith. Also, please allow us to keybind waypoints teleport !PLEASE!
You need to mention about the players because main base including me have patience. It is a grinding game do not forget. All thr grinding stuff including farming events for angelic is part of the mechanic. Bricking items, farm again and you will see you found another. Basically i . tired see people crying for easy stuff
- **Season 4 Review:** Initially underestimated, Season 4 of Diablo 4 lasted longer than expected before complaints emerged, indicating sustained player interest. - **Upcoming Season 5:** A PTR (Public Test Realm) for Season 5 is imminent, with a campfire chat on June 21 to reveal more details. Season 5 is hoped to introduce a new seasonal mechanic and avoid merely reworking Season 4 content. - **Future Expansion:** On July 18, more information about a new class, Spiritborn, will be disclosed, which appears to be a witch doctor-monk hybrid. - **Player Engagement:** Player retention has been strong since Season 4 launched, with consistent engagement noted on platforms like Steam. - **Competition and Future Outlook:** Path of Exile 2 and other games are not seen as threats; Diablo 4’s success hinges on delivering quality updates and expansions to maintain and grow its player base.
I really was about to get Diablo 4 until I saw that the 'DLC' they're adding in October is as much as the entire game. When you slam on Battlepasses on top of it all, I'll just wait for PoE 2, it's fine.
D4 is somewhat immune to be killed by other DARPGs because it is meant to be a streamlined simpler game to play than any of the others even want to be. Even IF PoE waters itself down 1000% it will still be WAY more complicated in the mid to endgame (as the player base wants). It would be a serious mistake for PoE2 to even try to compete with D4.
