Neyrelle in a battle of wills against the oldest and arguably most evil demon lord of the burning hells. In other news, amateur boxer picks fight with Mike Tyson😢
@@DathanielTDK In all fairness Leah never was intended to control it. And the Person who told her actually wanted the Outcome that happened in the end. Granted we don't know why this "Child" thought this was a good Idea to begin with to try and mind wrestle with a Prime Evil so maybe it's actually more similar than it seems for now.
@@Shear666 Mostly I think she did what she did because she didn't want to see anyone die to Meph's corruption, particularly not Lorath or the Wanderer. Her mother dying and then Donan left impressions. Clearly we can see how that's turning out. All she can do now is either given in or keep pushing forward until she actually makes it or eventually breaks.
@@andrew-rn9ui Not really. There was a of of bugs and random errors, and when the game did work, there was a lot of micro-stuttering. All of this on top of the extremely player aggressive choices Blizz made to artificially make the grind unbearable.
Exactly, i still dont understand whats her plan exactly? Or maybe she's being tricked by mephisto into thinking she can handle it when really he just wants to escape from the horadrim
I think the explanation is more that there wasn't a guarantee that the player would be able to kill Lilith, so Neyrelle took the soulstone and fled. She didn't go back to Lorath because she has lost faith in the Horadrim, seeing first hand that Lorath and Donan were just men and the Legends that her mother had always told her they were. She didn't feel that Lorath could be trusted with the stone, especially after making a deal with the Tree. So she decided to carry the stone herself, and probably has no clue the player prevailed and slew Lilith. It seems she is going to Akarat's Tomb, which seem's odd to me as the lore states that Akarat disappeared in the jungle of Kehjistan, and therefore shouldn't have a resting place. Though it did certainly look like she was headed into the jungle. Perhaps there is a temple dedicated to him? Either way it seems she thinks the stone can be safeguarded there.
@@Durstalph Ahhh got it so the plot is "dumb men can't handle big evil demon (even though they have clear experience fighting evils like this with Lorath being experienced from Reaper of Souls and directly trained by Tyrael and our player character CLEARLY mowing through demons left and right) so now the power of women will win over Mephisto". So garbage lol. People are using Tal Rasha and The Dark Wanderer as examples of people making stupid choices too... Except the difference being that Diablo broke The Wanderer's mind over his journey to defeat him (as in the entire game and his descent to Hell to slay him), and then seeing that Diablo possessed his younger brother completely shattered what was left and made him feel like he had to contain Diablo's spirit in any way he could. Tal Rasha did it out of complete necessity because Baal had broken most of his soulstone in his battle with the Horadrim and Tyrael and his soulstone would not have kept him contained at all/he was still going to be a threat if Tal Rasha didn't use his body to contain him and further be bound within that tomb. Neyrelle literally just said "nah, I'm gonna take the Soulstone away from the few people who could actually help deal with the problem, a girl with only a passing knowledge in Horadric arts, against one of the oldest and most powerful Lords of Hell. Yeah I'm totally gonna overcome this." Fuck Neyrelle. She's a horribly written character and I don't give two shits what happens to her.
Of course! She's a strong independent women of color and if you don't like her making stupid decisions it's YOU that's sexist and racist and most likely homophobic. Of course it's the audience fault they use logic and reason and not OUR DEI characters stupidity that the story is mediocre.
Mephisto is so much more dangerous and cunning than Diablo. In all of the games we've played, we only ever beat Mephisto because he's not "fully formed", or is still regenerating, or is too busy manipulating his brothers etc. This may be the first time we get a fully realized, fully formed Mephisto, and I genuinely think he'll be a bigger threat than Diablo.
@@badwrongbadong Wrong. Diablo 1 makes a point of stating that all of the Prime Exiles had incorporeal forms due to the Dark Exile. They needed to possess flesh bodies in order to become full strength, and the only one who achieved that was Diablo. In Diablo 2, Mephisto is the last to actually possess a form. Diablo had the Dark Wanderer and Baal had a form, meaning he had not yet managed to 'wear in' his new flesh form, which was a Priest of Zakarum known as Sankekur. Prior to his entrapment in the Black Soulstone by Adria, Mephisto's soul was the only one she nearly lost control of. He even managed to take over her mind a few times during the process, something she did not anticipate. Lillith herself is on a crusade specifically against her Father. Not Diablo, or Baal. She believes that there is NO victory against Mephisto that doesn't involve her, and sure, we can regard her as an unreliable narrator, but the fact she doesn't see the other Prime Evils as much of a threat is telling. He's even regarded as the LEADER of the Burning Hells. Not Diablo.
@@glynneturnbull you can weather terror and destruction but hatred is an entirely different beast, its so much more insidious, it turns everyone against everyone, it even turns you against yourself. mephisto is the oldes of the 3 and the most patient and cunnig of the 3 primes and when it comes to the sheer danger he poses ,he eclipses his brothers by miles...at least i would think so
@jonathancabaluna9641 Dumbest reply ever. I played that crap game. Thankfully, I bought it with wow gold. If they put half as much effort into game play as they do into micro crap the game would be great.
I mean, if you think about it… she’s the weakest of the group, imagine if Mephisto started taking over the player? It’s better if he has a weak vessel. There’s been nobody ever who could resist a Prime Evil.
Im still waiting for Diablo to make his debut in 4, but damn it's awesome to see Mephy get done serious attention and in the spot light like Big B in Lord if Destruction.
He wont. If it does, it wont be Diablo. It will be Micro transaction 2024 LGBT Diablo. The true lord of terror indeed, slayer of its own licence and IP.
@@agentorange8757 I highly doubt its a marketing strategy, but planned from the beginning in regard to content. Diablo 4 is the first Diablo with an open world that is going to get bigger over time, it was already expected in the very beginning that Diablo 4 will have a longer future in regard to content than any other Diablo before, simply because of how Diablo 4 was build fundamentally. So we can indeed expect three expansions, we can also expect at least one new class based on holy damage, most likely in the third expansion with Diablo.
So is the ending going to be "she is apologising for being confident of her plans. She made the right decision, cause she imegine the success over and over in her head, only. She" feels" she has already won. So it was the right choice. However, the downfall was. Mephisto didnt play fair, he didnt listen to her, and was rebelling like a maniac. It's abusive and, exploitative, and terrorising me. He wasn't suppose to do that, cause she didn't imegine he would be doing that. He should be a little pet inside the stone, and the worst he could do was shout and cry like a baby, which is already horrifying. She didnt think he could do more. As he didnt tell her his plans. So she is just sorry but she was right to take the stone and you all should give sympathy and compassion. You have to be the bigger person,. , right? "
I’m so sad for what they’ve done to Diablo’s story and character writing Last 1/3 of this game… everyone, every single character, starts taking stupid pills Her running off by herself with the stone is the absolute height of stupidity, and it’s a well known issue that we the players are aware of - even in the lore it’s a well known thing that never ends well and she, a supposed scholar, would 100% be aware of that It’s just such a stupid plan, I can’t believe how bad the writing was in this game… it’s the only Diablo that I’ve never played more than once: Every other game I played multiple character, multiple times, but not this one
We chased "the pet of Lilith" for 3 acts and killed Lilith after we chased her for an hour or sth. I will not make the same mistake and buy a game from blizzard again. Shallow writing, a simple skill tree. Still feels like a mobile game.
@@juvenileygo they aren’t medieval humans, they are humans who live in a world that has seen and (barely survived) multiple apocalypse They know better
@@starless4146 Only difference is that Tal-Rasha sacrificed himself willingly to imprison himself alongside Baal. He didn’t wander around like an idiot like the other two did.
I don’t have a lot of sympathy. She could have made the obviously correct decision to stick with the human blender that is the player, but instead she chooses to do the thing least likely to actually work.
@@ZZMonkeysUncleZZ Honestly considering how the hells work I assume she was "nudged" to do that. For now. I mean "and then someone did a very dumb thing" is a Diablo classic too.
Remind me again...who are the good guys? Is it the angels who left humans to die or the demons who kill humans cuz it seems like everyone is just stupid or evil in this world
The nephalem, the ones who see the stupidity of the war and only want peace having been susceptible to both sides. The angel and demons are no different to each other, order and chaos at the cost of everything.
To be true, its more like Blizard, (just like any large corporate entity) has deep hatred toward christianity and its idioms, so especially since Diablo 3, they are making sure to make the player understand that Angels, that are supposed to represent an ideal of purity and compassion, are no different than their exact opposite. All of that because they ultimately support and follow a very nihilistic ideology, and those ideas to be valid, angels have to be flawed enought to be considered evil. Hence nothing matter, and we are all going to die, and their is only despair and pain. I know it seem far fetched, But I have een consulting long enought with megacorpos to know eactly how they think and why they communicate the thing they do (half of them are actual satasnists)
Because its hard to make a movie franchise in a univers that promotes absolute nihilism. Blizards fundamentaly hates the concept of heroism, and for a franchise to sustain itself, they need to make sure their is always evil. Problem is that it means heroism cannot truly vanquish evil, therefor reducing the whole endevor of story telling to nothing. For a video game, its works because of new gaplay and graphics and maps, but you should realize that we have been doing the same stuff and telling aproximately the same story since Diablo 1. It cannot work with movies (unless you supress nihilism and have the hero truly vanquish evil for good forever, like in a LOTR tolkien kind of style, which Btw, is the opposite of nihilism, while still being incredibly dark at times)
Lol no. Stupid waman thought she was strong and left the only people capable of shouldering that burden to run off, which WILL end in disaster. Horrible writting. Barely held up by the visuals.
Damn whas the guy in the boat like those zombie ants and insects infected by the spore thats makes them climb and just grows out of them or am I just high?
Just killed Lilith and dealt with the stone after like we planned to. Instead this little cunt ran off with it completely abandoning the plan the now mephisto is gonna came, kill even more people and we are gonna have to fix her mistake, again.
Wow I've never seen someones limbs split apart like that by a otherworldly demonic god/goddess up until now, I'd never use that as a punishment, never,
That was Mephisto, he's technically a dude... And of course you wouldn't go around torturing people like that, they'll just pass out and die pretty fast. If you die outright then torture was pointless.
Religious people in the medieval age have already experimented with all sorts of horrifying tortures and punishments, as a way to "cleanse" all of the sinners' and non-believers' sins. Maybe all religions on earth are already secretly controlled by demon lords and prime evils, lol.
She musta have glossed over the life lessons she shoulda have learned from the Baal incident...couldn't wait to see how they will pain The Lord of Hatred in his full evil mode...remember how instrumental he was resurrecting and freeing his brothers and surviving all the efforts to purge the Prime Evils...I wish he would Rez Baal in the process (:D)
Im just glad meph is getting some proper attention. The older brother and arguable the most dangerous one because he is patient. Diablo is all just oogah boogah look at me im scury, Baal was too prideful for his own good. Mephisto is basically the glue that held hell together all this time and it looks like hes finally starting to make a move. I hope they end up with a good story
To be fair; not having the soulstone jammed into her will let her resist Mephisto for longer than most, but as we know from D1 it eventually leads to madness, rather than posession. I'd have tossed the thing into a volcano.
what did she think would happen?.....going on a bro trip with the most ancient, cunning und arguably most dangerous of the three primes, leaving the only 2 ppl in the world who are strong/experienced enought to resist and somewhat deal with the lord of hatred?
I haven't played this yet so I don't know the characters. Everyone keeps saying the girl deserves whatever the frick that was cause she made stupid choices, but dang... I can't help but pity her.
game still bad but yet they release money squeezer expansion? Its like spitting in face of everybody who has bought this title and awaits it to be actually entertaining...
Diablo IV -> Mephisto I ^^ - oh didnt know shes heading for Akarats tomb. Means maybe next Expension after this we will see Paladins or corrupted Paladins sort of.
The story might have been the oly thing that was not absolute trash about Diablo 4. However I refuse to give them more money after the fiasco that was Diablo 4 and its economic model. Hell no. Anyone that thinks Blizzard should learn a lesson about respecting fans should indeed refuse to buy this DLC
Its too bad they basically dropped the whole Nephalim plot. I mean end of D3 the character is a god and humanity in general should be becoming more and more powerful
The story of this game was so laughably bad, you could tell they made it up as they went along. And the ending... it took 2 buddies to convince me not to uninstall it just to do helltide runs for a few weeks ... then I uninstalled it
Diablo stories now is load with crap . Human try to banish devils from their world and yet , this young girl brought bring 1 of the most powerful demon , a prime evil into the land
