Dro is one those artist that you feel that he's still a big name but then you turn around and be like "wait a sec, where'd he go??" and then you realize that he actually fell off miles down the road.
It’s like he’ll fall off but then comeback a couple of years later. Fall off again and comeback with another hit a couple of years later. This was the most talented inconsistent rapper ever lol.
@@Rellodoe414 not at all good is subjective! I do realize that the mcs I speak of don’t have to be forced down your throat! They can drop every 5 years and still be relevant! They are not gimmicks but authentic to HIP HOP not that shit y’all be doing! Them drugs got YALL geeking hard off that white man clout! That’s who y’all in bed with pushing this SOUTHERN MUSIC FOR CHILDREN AND RETARDS #neelyfullerjr Now that I think back I love 3stacks BUT THAT NOGGA WAS WEARING FINGER NAIL POLISH CARRYING PURSES AND WEARING DRESSES🤷🏾♂️ goofy shit. Thank you for your contributions
His verse on Rich Kids' "Patna Dem" was a favorite of mine growing up. Haven't finished the video but he definitely should've been a bigger name in the industry
Outside of Wayne and Jeezy...NO ONE had a better/more influential mixtape run than Dro!!! He wasn't just not making music, he was dropping CONSISTENT mixtapes full of heat...and touring off of them. IYKYK
When I first got his "Day One" Gangsta Grillz mixtape in Miami, on Memorial Day weekend back in 2006, I couldn't stop playing it. That shit was FIRE. I hate that Dro didn't blow up, as he should've. Great feature today, Stunted Growth! Keep it going!
@@MarkHallOfFame True...With all his mixtapes & even the songs he thows out every once in a while though...Gotta wonder "what if"...if he kept bringing that...
I literally just had this convo with my bro this morning drugs & signing with grand hustle stunted his growth nobody on the label ever gets fame like t.i.
I know him and Iggy Izalia were signed to Grand Hustle and I red that she was getting into with Tip too, but I also think part of the reason she fell off is cause of all the people she was beefing with. We haven’t heard anything from her in a long ass time and if she ever does comeback I don’t think she’ll ever be as big as she was at first, her and Dro were both signed to Tip and both ended up falling off smh..I know Dro is still doing a little bit of music. But we’ll see if he’ll be able to climb back to the top with Tip, I believe he can and will do it.
I cant wait until he does Mally G from the group Illegal to being featured on Biggie and Busta Rhymes projects to Def Squad affiliate to not being mentioned anymore he was definitely a lyrical beast
Dru nd tip was such a perfect pair!! I started too like dro more then tip when he came out like I was soo hurt when how he fell off his store was different
I only got to know Dro when Da Reality Show dropped. It waz well received and had a couple of bangers in it, that was in 2015. I think he still could have stayed relevant cause I don't know what happened after that except something about Fantasia.
He killed his verse on Here On In that he was featured on with Curren$y. He through the years dropped mixtapes and features here and there so he was still rapping
It’s heartbreaking when you see how much potential this man had as a superstar that just went to waste. He was most certainly one of the biggest trendsetters that the game had seen. The ‘Black boy swag white boy tags’ mixtape with Yung La is the reason why ppl in Georgia stopped wearing clothes 3 sizes too big 😂😂.
Dro biggest issue was not ever having a major label pushing him, like most rapper labels most the budget & attention goes to the rapper who owns the label. It's the same reason 2 chainz was more successful when he left dtp. But dro was too loyal to tip & the drugs obviously kept his ambition to grow very low. Look at his 1st album, it went gold off one single yet grand hustle only did 2 videos for it, a major label would have done 3 or 4 singles following shoulder lean & pushed it to platinum same as they was doing for tip. Dro was dropping hits off mixtapes & grand hustle never got behind them. Take off, I don't know yall, freeze me, all kinda shit that came out after the 1st album
