Around a month ago we found a secret goose nest that had several eggs in it. What made these geese eggs so special is that geese should not be laying eggs this time of the year. So we decided to gather up all the special rare geese eggs and put them in our GQF incubator and try and hatch them. Well our buddy Morgan from ‪@GoldShawFarm‬ saw our youtube video about the rare geese eggs, and told me his pilgrim goose had also been laying an sent us those fertile eggs as well to put in the incubators and try and hatch. Well then hurricane zeta hit the farm and knocked out our power for 7 days, and today we are going to candle all of the geese eggs and see if any made it.

I gotta tell you all that I love, love, love the longer videos especially when it shows more of the family dynamics. It is so nice to see a family working, playing and enjoying their time together. You should let MaryCarl paint that set of metal shelves in the greenhouse. It’s so fun to have bright colors in the garden. Food coloring is another safe way to dye the chickens. You two are a perfect couple. You have such a good sense of humor and attitude

Tell your friends that has the coop to paint it now before the weather changes. The coop is not cheap, but the wood is the very cheapest and warps from any water. The thick paint seals the wood and the edges and keeps the water out. Tell them good luck with all the chickens and prayers.

Nugget's so precious. he may seem to scare all the smaller fowls, but you can tell he's real careful not to trample them and always slows down. I used to be kinda scare of emus and ostriches, but the Nugz made me realize how sweet they can be.

Please think about getting nugget a running mate. I don't think your dogs could keep up with him. You would need another emu or a Gray Hound dog. He does like to get his exercise. Mary Carl, you sure can pack a beautiful gift. But first of all you've got a beautiful heart. You bring tears to my eyes when you gift your friends some of your beautiful precious chickens. You're so kind and loving and giving. What a special friend you must have for you to be able to put together such a fun gift. And I must say I like the selection of candies that you put in the bottom. I cracked up at the chicken. I've never seen one quite like that before. Mom and dad, I'm sure you know what I mean when I say the nut doesn't fall too far from the tree. What a great example you are.

God has his hands on Mary Carl, she is sweet and loving and has the best disposition. She has empathy and that is odd for an only child. She is a natural veterinarian Jason and Mrs. Cog Hill should be proud they’re such humble and sweet ppl. My family and I are 1 month into our new homestead we got 5 laying hens and a rooster as a house warming gift. Lord I’ve been trying to get out of picking that rooster up Saturday when I get the hens, I’ve been spooked from roosters attacking kids on RU-vid! But what would Jason do?

Scott is beautiful. My Dad loved fried mush (grits formed into a log,chilled, sliced and fried. Served with syrup). Us kids also loved it. Your channel makes me happy. Love Nugget and all his antics.

You can dye silkies. You can use food coloring and water and spray them lightly. Most people do it with watered down easter egg dye, and spray it on with a spray bottle, for Easter.

Love these old videos. I’ve been watching them to catch up from the beginning and even though I’m up to where I found you, I’m enjoying watching them again. I really want to get an Emu for our farm and that’s because of your channel. Nugget gives me a chuckle every video running around like a mad emu. So funny and shows he has so much personality and he’s friendly. I gotta figure out a way to keep an emu of our own here in Ontario where it’s a lot colder for a few months every winter. @@lauraliekarels4059 I’m trying to make sure I understand Lauralie. You said the tiny black biting bugs. Here in the Southern states, there are two that come in the spring and again in the later autumn. They both appear to get larger and then disappear again. And the light in color ones do indeed bite hard. You really don’t know they are on you until you feel their stinging bite! Actually I kind of stay indoors when they both come visiting. 😩 💫👍💫

I live in the Pac NW and we have regular sustained power outages. Make inserts filled with sand from socks or pillow slips and put near the fire or in the oven/grill in a metal bucket to put inside the incubator and cover the outside with multiple blankets and or cardboard. You can use a pan of rocks too. Good radiant heat source for brooder and coops too.

We dye our silkies. Food coloring and a toothbrush. Don’t do under the wings, it doesn’t fade out like the rest of the feathers. Now every time our silkie raises her wings we get a flash of neon pink.
