SAFETY FIRST
Hi! I’m a designer first, woodworker second. I’m doing my best to be as safe as possible when woodworking, but the truth is I’ve got loads to learn. The methods and tools I use don’t always match all the best practices when it comes to safety precautions. So, if you’ve never been taught how to safely operate a specific tool, make sure to do your homework before using it! A good place to start is by reading the tools manual. After that google how to safely use the specific tool and check out as many tutorials as possible until you feel well informed and safe (whether It be on the manufacturers website or on RU-vid). If you still don’t think this is important, watch this video that demonstrates what happens when you don’t use your table saw properly… • Kickback on Camera!

Many thanks, I have been researching "woodworking projects youtube" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Denia Diyictoria Bulldozer - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate got great success with it.

You could have tried your bevel which would have cut through it without any trouble. As you can lay your piece flat and cut cleanly through.😊

Thanks for the tip Chris, what about cuts that have angles greater than 60 degrees?
@vincepickett7094
@vincepickett7094 6 лет назад
Found this searching for coffee table ideas and I happen to have a couple of 2X4s I have no plans for. Do you have a listing of the angles you cut? The links in earlier comments all say the file is no longer available. Nice job on the video. I’ve tried the taping method before without much luck, I’ll have to review the video you mentioned.

I like the Idea, but I would have change the Angle of the Bottom "Leg" so that it dont go farer than the Table. I know now its better for taking/leaving Books, but its also a trip Hazard (sorry for my english)

Thumbs up, beautiful design. Always allow for "mistakes", it's part of the process. A tip (since you recognize that you have limited safety knowledge): NEVER defeat a guard on a power tool! Many experienced people lose life and limb that way.

Cool design, and great video production. Not sure why your saw could not cut the width of those 2x4s, just loosen the screw in the back close to the sliders. It will give you the opportunity to slide the blade across a wider area.
