Hi Dylan, this drone will not have the AIRSENSE system DJI has promised to deliver in any 2020 model - except for drones delivered inside the US! AIRSENSE is a security system promised to EU politicians to calm them down for new regulations. It provides the identification of manned aircraft on our screen and most likely on the manned aircraft too. This might become later mandatory except for the toy drones cause the authorities will no longer be folled and search a drone that broke the law around airport. However due to issues in the supply chain DJI has decided equip only the US units with this system. No ones else will get that ... even though we pay a far higher price than the US customer if you do the math and take 800$ minus tariffs of I think 20% and do the currency exchange and compare (US prices are without VAT cause they depend on the state where you buy what taxes have to be paid) ... . In the EU you have to lower DJI prices to find the net and vat free price to compare it to US prices. So we in the EU will not get the latest model even thoguh we pay higher prices. But DJI will later start to ship airsense equipped Air 2 to the EU and in that moment your early bird purchase will be outdated and loose a lot of money for sure cause that is an feature that will become mandatory in the above toy class or above 250 gr. ! Think twice cause you will not get a free dji Hardwareupgrade later ... only the late buyers of the EU version will get that when the supply chain issue will have been solved. and do not forget: DJI did not deliver mature products for - 8 months after launch at least regarding Mavic 2 and Mavic Mini that all got the firmware updates 6 months and more later than launch bringing the features too you that were shown during launch event like Mavic 2 flight modes and goggles support and head tracking support and .... Same for Mavic Mini ... You pay now, you will get less than expected (software and no airsense) in one month or so and then they start developing firmware updates to deliver these in October after the season and then you will recognice mavic air 2 with Airsense system being delivered in the EU So think twice before buying such a scam ... . Hey Dylan. IMO DJI is trying to cut the Evo 2 market launching a drone almost as good for half the price. At this moment you can't take fully advantage of 8k and the 8k videos needs massive computer resources and storage. Many people that was thinking about buying the Evo 2 may have second thoughts and switch to Mavic Air 2. The MA2 is more value for the money at this moment than the E2.

I won't be glued to the screen waiting for DJI, I'll be asleep on it given what time this launch is supposed to be in the UK lol.

I think a lot of people have had their fill of below 250 gm birds, and I think its been proved that a lot of them are a pain, I know there are some that think its a good drone but lots that have lost them don't think so and I don't think we will see DJI launching another one in the future.

Why haven't they released any drones with two cameras one on each front arms so we get stereo vision 😥 the number 48 is _obviously_ a reference the most advanced Hewlett Packard series of scientific/graphing/programmable calculators, HP48 G/G+/GX, before they went to hell with the 49, 50, prime...

I agree; releasing the drone at this time is a wrong marketing move, BUT I think they have too with Autel shipping the EVO 2's; I'm sure that's the reason. Well, we'll find out the real story in a couple more days. You and your family take care and stay safe!

#mail Hi I have a video idea following on from this. The Mavic Air 2 is quieter than the v1. The sound is probably one of the worst parts of the v1 and I've been looking at making it quieter. I don't know if the V2 blades would fit the v1 Mavic Air but in the meantime can you maybe do a review on some propellor upgrades for the original Mavic Air by Master Airscrew called the Stealth V2?
