Do eyelash extensions damage your lashes? Very similar to hair extensions, the extensions add additional weight to the hair.

Over time, if the natural eyelashes can start to weaken and thin out and ultimatly break off. Here are some tips to prevent your eyelash extensions from damaging your lashes.
It is recommended that you give your natural eyelashes a break every few months to about once every 6 months. This will depend on how thick your natural lashes are and how long you have been wearing eyelash extensions continuously.
It is also recommended that during the "break" of not wearing eyelash extensions that you help strengthen and lengthen your natural lashes with a lash conditioning growth serum.
This will help your natural lashes to:
-grow faster in between rest cycles.
-strengthen natural lashes that could have been damaged by over extended use of eyelash extensions.
-strenghten your natural lashes faster.
-**Avoid using strip lashes that can also add additional weight to your natural lashes.

I just got my eyelashes lifted today!! Do you think that process ruins the natural lashes?

No. That does not ruin the natural lashes. If anything, if you get them done again in a month, you will notice that your lashes will take the lash lift much easier because your natural lashes will be more pliable than the virgin lashes.

I have used grande lash md for a few years and love the results. In the last few months I switched to the Rodman and Fields lash boost. I felt like it definitely worked very well, but as soon as I stopped using it, I felt that my lashes thinned. Do you know why?

If a few months went by and then you noticed that your lashes weren't as full, it may be that the last lash serum was more of a thickening serum rather than a growth serum. Did you find that with the Grande Lash serum as well?

Go See Christy no I didn’t notice that with grande lash. The Rodan and Fields one made a much more noticeable difference in thickness and length, but it did diminish a little when I stopped using it

Is there a difference between eyelash extensions and individual lashes such as ardell individuals?

HI Kaitlynn, thank you so much for watching and asking a great question! Eyelash extensions can be combination of individual lashes that are glued with a professional adhesive that stays on for weeks or it can be clusters that are also glued on with the professional glue. Ardell is a brand you can get at the drugstore using an adhesive that you can easily remove at the end of the evening. The quality is very different. Professional eyelash extension also come in a very wide range of lengths, curl and thickness. It can come in real mink fur or poly keratin which is the synthetic version.

I keep debating about getting them because I have naturally long eyelashes (but still would like to not wear mascara and wake up with full lashes), and I have oily skin AND glasses. I'm still leaning towards getting them though just to try! :)

Personally, if you have long lashes, I would try the eyelash extensions when you have a special event to go to or maybe to celebrate your birthday. They are fun but if you have long lashes, I would just stick with mascara on a daily basis. : )
