I am one of the few people who likes the Slitheen episodes. It introduces Harriet Jones. And I love the actress who plays the Slitheen (Blon). She is now the coroner on Midsommer Murders and I keep expecting her to unzip.

I hope you continue with this series. When I first started watching years ago it took me like half of the season to really get into it.. then I ended up binge watching the rest in a matter of about 2 and a half weeks♡ it definitely gets so much better♡

It's always amazing how many alien visitations & invasions humans keep forgetting about... Robotic silver men? Forgotten. Robotic salt shakers? Forgotten. Big headed quasi knights? Forgotten! Dinosaurs in historic times? Forgotten. Reptile people? Forgotten. An old-fashioned police box circa 1960s? Ignored. Occasionally graffitied on...but otherwise, ignored.

Our first Two part story of the revival (aswell as having subtle foreshadowing somewhere that I will not say what it is or where), as the first two parter it could be better, not that it's bad by any means, series 1 to me is practically flawless, and this first part is definitely interesting but.. ya know, although I can't wait for your reaction to episode 6 which (re)introduces an ICONIC thing that has been in this series practically since the beginning. Also, welcome to The Doctor, this timelord constantly mistypes the coordinates.

i'm really enjoying your reactions to DW! i have a lot of nostalgia for this show, especially this doctor and rose, and you're so right about the early CGI being so ridiculous but really enjoyable to watch. one thing i love about rose is that she was SUCH a wildcard when they started work on this season - billie piper, the actress, was a pop star in the 90s and when the show first came out everyone was very doubtful about her acting ability or her ability to carry a show like DW, but she knocked it out of the park! rose herself is a great character, especially because she's very typical of working class south england, something that wasn't really seen a lot on TV in a positive light at the time. the fact that she lives in a council flat and had a dead-end job with no prospects and yet got to show herself to be smart and brave and funny and complex was really amazing to see on TV at the time. also, christopher eccleston who plays the doctor is AMAZING, and one of my favourite facts about him is that when he got the role he insisted on keeping his accent instead of speaking in a generic 'posh' way as the majority of previous actors who played the doctors did. he's from lancashire which is in the north of england, a place which is often looked down upon for a lot of reasons, and one of the ways people from the north are negatively stereotyped is because of their accents, which are viewed as 'improper' by many middle and upper class people in the UK. so when christopher eccleston insisted on keeping his accent, it really meant a lot to a LOT of people to see such an iconic character speaking with that accent. there's even a really funny throwaway line in the pilot ep of this season, when rose asks "if you're an alien, how come you sound like you're from the north?" and he really defensively says, "lots of planets have a north!" ANYWAY, sorry for the ramble, i really love your reaction videos and i hope you keep watching more!!

The first cliffhanger in the Revived series! It was good to see,as the Classic series (being serialized storytelling) was almost entirely structured around them. For me,this is one of the weaknesses of the revival show - the 'one and done' style of storytelling; where a great plot concept has to be wound up and concluded in 45 minutes. A two (or more) parter allows for more depth to the storytelling as well as the characters...although it also means that weak elements tend to be more obvious (the farting jokes!) I'm apparently in the minority for actually finding this one of the more enjoyable stories of this Doctors era. I think it's a lot of fun,and has a pretty big sense of scale.

Please forgive this 2 parter and some of the effects (and the farting aliens).. remember it's 2005 ....

In answer to your question: yes, British kids who watched this show most definitely had nightmares about it! And this episode isn't even 1/10th as scary as some of what's to come. Doctor Who has always pushed the limit of what can be shown on kids' TV, which is a big part of its appeal!

"This show keeps killing people" made me laugh and cry at the same time cause it's so true. Yes, Micky basically is a good guy. Glad you support him cause The Doctor is just mean to him and we can only hope this will change. And a two parter farting monster episode is maybe a bit too much but you beared the first part very well. If you survive this, you will survive the first series with flying (Tardisblue) colours. You are entertaining whilest observant so looking forward to your next reactions. Also Mermaids are real, but only in Denmark.

This show usually balances the child content and adult content in the episodes (making it a family show) but sometimes the show leans one way or another. Unfortunately, the fart jokes in this episode is for the kids

The trick with Drwho is that you need to listen for clues for future archs'. Best you pause the episode instead of constantly talking over it. You might miss out on something . Just FYI

In the UK we have No 10 Downing street instead of the Whitehouse and The prime minister as head of goverment and the King as the head of state - these get rolled into on in the US president, but yes essentially you're correct.

Welcome to your first cliffhanger. Everyone mistakes this as a fart joke but it's not the reason why the slitheen fart so much is because the human suit they wear is caused by skin compression and the gas exchange and it's really too tight for their body.

These two episodes used to be my least favourite in season 1, but I think I just about prefer them to Episode 7 now. Still... a bit of a low point for Season 1.

Why the f*** are there only four milk duds they need at least five or six that is my take away from this video

I'm not the biggest fan of this story, a lot of good in it, but don't really like the cringey moments especially with the farting part of the episode
