Not just This is Gallifrey, This is Gallifrey on the English horn, the original instrument for the melody. I don't think we've heard the theme like that since the Tennant era.
I loved this moment, and the music is just beautiful. It so nicely established who the Doctor is, where they are from, and its sad to see him have to mourn Gallifrey after he saved it for a while
God, I love This is Gallifrey so much. It's easily my favourite theme in the show and every single time I recognize it I immediatelly get tears in my eyes.
So so so glad Murray is back. He's already knocked it out of the park, his work is truly an essential part of the show. I really hope he releases the soundtrack this time around!
Weird, when Ruby entered we also hear the theme for when the Toymaker cut down the dolls of Amy, Clara and Bill. General companion theme? Also, I’m glad we got This is Gallifrey again at 1:20. I wasn’t sure if they’d be pushing for fewer older themes like other change ups.
Thank-you. I heard the new look of the TARDIS panned, and I can see why. The Doctor has a Time Machine. He could, in fact, revisit it at any time with his new companion.
