"This silly universe. The more I save it, the more it needs saving. You're right, they'll get it all wrong without me. Well, I guess one more lifetime won't kill anyone. Well, except me. You hold on a minute Doctor. Let's get it right. I have some things to say to you, basic stuff first. Never be cruel, never be cowardly, and never ever eat pears! Remember, hate is always foolish, but love is always wise. Always try to be nice, but never fail to be kind. And one more thing. You must never let anyone hear your name. They wouldn't understand it, anyway. Except children. When the stars are aligned and their hearts are in the right place, children may know your name. Run fast, love hard, be kind. Doctor... I let you go."
@@Hughesy313-f1y Think of the series 4 variant. The part where he flies in the vortex-lift to save River, or when he's granted more regenerations in Time of the Doctor
Could you do the one where 15 looses it for the first time in dot and bubble and then when he looses it again in empire of death (along with the copy of bad guy and poker face they do)?
@@OswinPond I remember Clara’s theme from Face the raven was played partly over the bit in the specials where Donna asks the Doctor where he’s been all this time
Murray's Score this season has def been the smartest he's ever scored. Not as many memorable new pieces of music as in say, series 4, but so many interwoven melodies, careful placements and lighter touches. Everytime we think he can't get better, he does.
Never tell me the rules really did sound like Capaldis theme if you think about it so it sounded like his theme when i first heard it it sounds real great
I'd also say that the music reminds me of "Flying Home for Christmas" which could mean this is the theme for the Doctor flying through the time vortex to bring life to someone who'd died
That's because "Flying home for Christmas" just like "You're Fired" and "Never Tell me the Rules" are all variations of "The doctor's theme (series 4)"
and there's those who says that is the same but actually, never tell me the rules is more louder and epic than original series 4 doctor theme, but they share similarities in their core
THIS is the Murray Gold I'd have liked to see more of in RTD2, such a beautiful piece of music. To be fair, I respect the fact he's not letting the music completely overwhelm the scenes this time round like some would say he used to do, but combined with the stunning performances from Ncuti and Millie, it's one of my favourite moments this season and genuinely has me tearing up every time I hear Ruby whisper those three words as she leaves the TARDIS.
There definitely are some bits of ‘The Doctor’s Theme’ sprinkled in, especially in 0:07 or 0:42. It sounds just too similar. And if by coincidence-still love it. Thank you, Oswin, for your uploads, as always greatly appreciated!
I havent seen many people talk about it, but its incredible to see the series 5 vortex again, intentional design or not. The gas clouds and lightning look amazing, espceially with the modern CGI. It was absolutely mesmering in cinemas.
Never ever tell me the rules ha haaa, regeneration number 13, We are breaking incredible barriers here guys, and I warn you that it will be incredible haa haaaa
Adaptation of "Never Tell Me The Rules" in Time of the Doctor which is an adaptation of "You're Fired" from The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe which in itself is an adaptation of the musical bridge of "The Doctor's Theme Series Four' in Forest of the Dead.
Can we get the track when the Doctor kills Sutekh? Really feel that is a major part of that scene along with Gatwa’s performance. As for a title guess maybe “The one who brings death”?
@@kylemccrory8509 "Never Tell Me the Rules" features a bit of the Gallifrey melody, but the section that immediately follows it is a new version of "The Doctor's Theme Series 4" (very specifically the grand Series 4 version, from the Doctor saving River in Forest of the Dead). That same theme also appears in "You're Fired" and "Flying Home for Christmas" from The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.
