@@dilipkumardutta2449 I don't think anyone arguing against Alex's heart in the division him and max are the best but max should have won their first bout Alex took it this past weekend the story was the other way around. Close fight max won. Sadly if it had gone to max the ufc would have had a great story going into a third fight for them and made alot of money so I'm sure Dana is mad about the descion
I was just thinking how Gordon has beat him twice and is more accomplished than any other BJJ grappler in the world. Gordon Ryan is the best in the world. Chael trying to promote number 2 who has signed with him doent change that imo.
as long as Usman doesn’t complain about not getting as much money as an actually entertaining fighter without a belt next contract he can fight however he wants...
DC made a career out of wrestlefucking people on the fence and Habib is making millions now taking people down and mauling them so give me a break with that stuff. What both had was a dance partner so big that it rubbed off and people forget what they do. Mma has had boring wrestlers before... this isnt new.
@@vlada1. Khabib and Daniel are 10 Times more active in the ground than usman so no its Not comparable 2. Khabib and Daniel Profit off of something crazy called having a personality
I distinctly remember when Mike Swick had Stephan Bonnar in a headlock in TUF 1. Bonnar's face was turning purple and made a very audible gurgling sound before getting out of it. Ref didn't stop the fight and Bonnar won
I told them boys that usman, volkanovski, and petr yan will all win their fights about 1 month ago. All 3 predictions were spot on correct. now check out my channel to see the recap videos and other future predictions.
I also think many people shouldn't be blaming Volkanovski for the judges mistake. What did he do wrong..? He trained, he listened to the refs and was extremely respectful, fist bumping after each round. Don't blame the winner, he fought his heart out and deserves respect.
So what I'm hearing is that if you tickle your opponent and they laugh the ref will interpret that as him tapping. Armpits and toes beware, I'm coming for you.
Anytime a guy has to take an opponent on 6 days notice, they will revert to their base. This is exactly what Usman did as he didnt have time to form a real gameplan, practice the techniques in drills the. Put them together in sparring. Masvidal had been training for Usman and brought in top wrestlers to work with. The only thing for him is that since he didnt have a properly timed camp where he could peak at the right time, his cardio wasnt quite as good as usual. I enjoyed the fight and loved watching Usman take such a dangerous guy and neutralize him so well. Masvidal fought his ass off but there was just nothing he could do to stop it.
Nailed it! The first thing I noticed was that Masvidal was a little more softer in the stomach than usual! I mean in a rematch I’m not sure if the outcome is different because Usman is a dominant champ! He is huge too! I would like to see a rematch as long as Masvidal wins his next one or probably two. Usman wants it too because he knows it’s his biggest pay day at this point!
blah blah blah...nobody couldve enjoyed that stop lying to yourself and everyone else.. Khabib is my favorite fighter so it has nothing to do with the style...hes just a much much more boring and bland version of khabib with less tricks..he had a chance to be a star with having jorge at his weakestin the later rounds on 6 days after 3 of them were traveling and quarantined lol he had a chance to put a stamp on it and he put the world to sleep and he shat the bed and now nobody gives a shit..
People like to talk about "humping", those punches to the ribs don't look like humping to me thats minus your stamina everytime that shit lands on you.
@Johnny Crustacean in all fairness, Craig definitely tried to break it 😂 with that being said, i think your analysis is kinda fair i understand where you believe that but its slightly off. While gordon is bigger, he used to compete at lightweight (168lbs) he only got really jacked around around 3 years ago, his technique is best in the world, all the guy does is train and the lil bit hes not, hes studying tape. Also another reason for me to believe his technique is superior is because Craig seen the incredible strategy and systems from John Danaher (Gordon's coach) that he flew down to train with them and Gordon before major events
Its a hard one.. i agree and disagree.. when its the top of the echelon its hard to call in on noise or grunt or whatever. But when ref feels ur in danger he has the toughest job of all.
One of the biggest issues that no one is discussing is the quality of the play by play and color commentary. DC is one of the best because he shows us that it isn't guys swinging for the fences or just holding on. Show the casual fans what is going on and how it can impact the fight offensively and defensively
As a ufc long viewer, I know Usman is a beast. But it's not even up for debate or an opinion. The fact is its boring to watch majority was clinching and foot stomps. I appreciate the win, do what u can, but never ever complain about money or fan loving. The lack of finishes and looks like he has another gear but doesn't is what's frustrating, same thing with mayweather. There even better than what they are but don't wanna take any risk other than walking in ring/cage. 💯
If you listen closely, prior to the stoppage... Craig made another noise and Mason told the ref “verbal tap”. Then the 2nd time Craig made a noise the ref stopped it. I believe in EBI rules stoppage is not required for defensive noises as with other rule sets. Ref made a bad call, Mason put the thought of the stoppage there. Run it back when everyone understands EBI rules better.
@@charlesfinnley5106 "hatign on Usman because hes black" you pussy. I absolutely love Romero, Ives Edwards, Anderson Silva, Mike Tyson, AJ, DC, Mighty Mouse etc. Only idiots are hating Usman because hes black. The rest of us rag on him because his style and personality are the lamest we've ever seen.
Difference is Masvidal wasn’t happy with how the Diaz fight ended. He wanted a war. A baptism. He has stated multiple times he wants a rematch to give Nate another chance because the stoppage was lame. Usman is perfectly happy winning the way he did. Usman will bore 1.3 million PPV buyers into a deep sleep just to not lose. Not win. But to not lose.
I saw it. I just heard this. Still, a fighter petitioning to the ref and basically talking him into it, is bullshit. The "sound" was the guy using force and grunting to escape a position. It wasn't the guy is getting his neck broken. If it weren't here being talked about, I wouldn't care and I probably will never look this guy up again.
It looked like when Jones grunted in pain the first time, Fowler just let go. I’ve had it happen to me and as a bigger guy I’m always worried about accidentally injuring a training partner so I’ll quickly stop the submission attempt. Fowler looked up to ask if it was a verbal tap and the ref said no so he went right back to the work and then Jones tries it again hoping Fowler would let go, but this time it was the ref who stopped the hold. Can’t wait to see what happens we they meet back up. It will be interesting to see if Jones will stand up and try to take Fowler down, or if he’ll try to sit and fish for an ankle again.
Yeah, that was the most pathetic fight i've seen in 11 years of watching MMA. Afraid to stand and bang against a guy who cut 20 lbs that same week, toe stomps and shoulder cuddles as well as illegally striking because hes getting pieced up on the feet. Usman sucks
@Conner yes a beast that's afraid to stand and bang with a guy who cut 20 lbs that same week, gets pieced up on the feet, does NOTHING with any ground and pound, and uses illegal blows to open cuts. Kamaru Snoozeman "The toe assassin" AKA the Nigerian Nyquil if you thought that was a display to be proud of you probably also have the charisma of a wet mop like your boy Marty
The problem with the ref saying the stuff about him deciding the neck crank was enough to make Craig submit is that 20 seconds earlier the ref said it wasn’t a tap
Good analysis when there is no bias due to not having a favorite fighter or picking side so instead it made one to look at the technical part or other area and it makes sense who won
It's true. Some of these fans need to cool it. Celebrate the winner. Fighters don't go through months of camp just to be criticized in the manner in which they win.
I don’t know who I like to listen more on the fight game, Chael or Rogan. If you would ask me who do I go to first on the fight news? I would answer, whoever shows up on my feed first.
On instagram gordon saying how submission underground is ebi rules and making a noise is NOT a fight finishing rule just like adcc. So chael lying again 🤣😂
Cmon Chael, Mason and Craig met in the quarter finals of ADCC, it’s quite an important point. Also most people know Mason, cos they watched the adcc finals.
Same Goes for Alex Volkanovski..he came to win and got the win..even though by razor thin margin. Cant hate him for winning. Feel bad for Max but "it is what it is!"
Surely this also applies to Volkanovski? He and Max have fought twice under the unified rules, and Alex has won twice, even with the second being contested. Don't blame or punish him for doing what he needed to do each night. Let him be the champion and defend his belt.
I did not like the way Mason Fowler told the ref that Craig verbally tapped the first time Craig grunted kind of feel that set up the ref stepping in on the second time Craig grunted
I think what made Mason so unlikeable is he had tried to call a verbal tap on Craig almost indicating he was hoping/planing for this. Furthermore his overall excitement for what is seen as a cheap win is very off putting. My option at least. I would have liked to see more of a humble win since it was so weird.
So I'm at a bar one night in New York City and someone taps me on my shoulder to ask me for a cigarette and I turned around and to the shock of my eyes it is the one and only Chael P Sonnen. He said he was interested in talking to me because he heard I was a jeweler and he was interested in buying a Rolex; honestly I didn't want to be bothered if he wasn't ranking up with greats like GSP and Daniel Cormier, so I gave him a chance to shoot his shot. He offered to barter me mat time for a discount on a Rolex watch, I thought the offer was crazy but I felt bad turning down a fighter who just suffered a loss to Tito Ortiz; so I agreed. He told me he would demonstrate a choke on me in front of the bar on main street to prove his authenticity. So out of nowhere, like a lockeroom douchebag, he put me in this front headlock not knowing I knew the defense for it from private training sessions with Cyborg Evangelista-- which is an absolute animal. So I drop down, pull his head forward and trap his head and arm together then rotate to the outside-- next thing you know the guys body goes limp and falls like a sack of potatoes. There lie the drooling, unconscious body of Chael P Sonnen in front of everyone. Women are screaming, men are asking if I'm a pro fighter, everyone trying to grab a photo with me, but I disappeared into the darkness of the night with the only thing being left to identify me was my Official Tito Ortiz™ Team Punishment Athletics® sweat band. Yes--- that was me.
Chael don’t forget it was the second grunt Craig let out that stopped the fight. Craig got the benefit of the doubt on the first one but I believe since it happened again very soon after is why the match was stopped, ok great. Love you Uncle Chael
I love you chael but that narrative is wrong. I’m a HUGE Diaz fan and when Masvidal pieced up Nate I tipped my cap to Jorge. You can’t compare that fight to Usman-Masvidal
i thought this title is referring to Kamaru VS. masvidal. Since everyone is blaming him for simply being superior rather than blaming the guy who couldn't deliver.
10 years ago masvidal would have been cut by the UFC a minute ago, but since social following is now what gets fights, we see losing fighters get so much slack but the real killers get put on the fryer. Makes no sense.
MMA is in part entertainment and without the entertainment component, it has the same following as curling or college wrestling. In every sport if there is a boring OP tactic, they change the rules to make it more entertaining.
I believe the UFC would benefit greatly from bringing in the Pride yellow/red card system. The UFC has had some issues with fighters “winning” without doing much to finish the fight, they rather game the system. A system that requires the fighters to actively win by finish would be an improvement over what they have now.
@@rekanpayne6606 I agree. I saw Chael allowing Craig to hang in there for a couple minutes to build some confidence before submitting him with a forearm lock
Need a welterweight the take usmans belt? Nick Diaz can handle him on the ground with his bjj, pin him on the fence like usman did to Jorge and Nick gets excited because dirty boxing is his territory and Nick is no slouch when it comes to stand up either. (Obviously you can't come back from a 5 year suspension and go straight to the belt though. Just a fun thought)
U do get to blame the winner when they know they lost the fight and then go to the post fight press conference and say yeah I feel I dominated the entire fight
No Usman after failing to take him down stalled. He was trying to look very busy and meanwhile doing no damage or progressing positions. The fact that he won buy hugging Jorge and foot stomps is why everyone is mad.
A Max Watching an Usman fight is like watching a basketball match back in the 50’s before the invention of the shot clock. A team winning 12-5 would just hold the ball without any repercussions. Usman does the same thing, he HAS NEVER EVEN HINTED at an attempt to cause any damage what so ever, he is very physically strong has mastered the art of pretending to look just busy enough for the referee to not separate the fighters. This isnt some meat head fans screaming “sTanD and BaNg BrO”, I like to think that as a fan base we are past that, we love wrestlers and jiu hitsu practisioners, khabib, brian ortega, damian maia, before his KO loss askren was the biggest star at 170, GSP, this isn’t that. Usman DOES NOT FIGHT! He never makes any attempt to win a fight! Im not talking leaving your chin out like an idiot, he never advances position, causes any damage , 1.3 million people might never buy another PPV ever again, judges need to stop rewarding wrestling thay doesnt lead to anything. People were already mad about the Hollaway robbery the fact usman was allowed to fight like that was a disgrace. Honestly a disgrace. Garbage fighter
@Bryan Charles well I don't need to buy the PPV nowadays. Speak for urself he's one of the best fighters in the world and one of the best welterweights ever
@@eireabu9486 still doesnt change the fact that hes boring af. This isnt just about fighting its also entertainment. The guy who made this thread is right, Usman has mastered the art of stalling. Hell i bet he puts his opponents to sleep without having to knock them out being that boring
Yeah this is 100% Sport - not Combat or Fighting. Tyron, Usman, and Fowler... their only goal is to "win", get rich and famous, and pretend they're bad. They didn't care how they won, as long it wasn't "technically" against the rules and/or the ref didn't catch them breaking the rules. Pathetic.
@himode what he's saying is. Those like kamaru aint here to prove they can fight. They just want money. Technically kamaru didn't do anything wrong. But idk if you ask me and the reason i scrapped in backyards was and is to prove i got this shit. The money is a bonus - I ain't the richest but for reals couldn't care about money
@himode Usman is a sportsman and he has my respect for winning. Masvidal is a fightingman and has my respect for his fighting spirit. Some people that watch UFC do not appreciate 'sport' in general, they're just here for the violence. And that is ok! But UFC IS a sport first and foremost!
This dude with a yugioh profile pic talking about fighting and war lmao shut the fuck up you nerd before your high school bully stuffs you back to your locker room. Go cry like you've done your whole life 😭😭😭
