Don't Fall for EAFC 24. 

New name. Same game.

The fact that FM announced that in FM25 we are getting a new engine and the whole community is hyped for a game that will it not release until 2025 and EA can't make their fanbase to get hyped or do an important change when they need to hit the ground running with their "new" franchise it's insane.

This game should be released once in 5 years, with squad update each season. Honestly that's what they are really doing.

My take on this is that you should only buy it every two years, that’s how long it takes for the game to actually change. The difference between fifa 21 and fifa 23 is crazy

I stopped playing Ultimate Team after FIFA18 and just came back this year. It’s shocking what EA has done to my favorite game. For me the worst change is that now there’s no excitement in having a good card, because everyone has them. I remeber packing Icon Overmaars in FIFA18 - when I used him I actually felt like I had an advantage over my opponent. Now you need to keep improving your team every week just to keep up with the power curve. I went on holiday for a few weeks in spring and when I came back everyone had insane TOTS cards, and I kept getting destroyed just because I skipped a few WLs. FIFA has been a glorified card collector for a long time, but now even the card collecting part is boring, because it’s so easy to get insane cards.

The fact that Fifa is the same game since Vizeh and many of us were kids to us now being Adults will always be wild to me. Great Video mate.

as someone who's first fifa (where they actually knew what they were doing) was 18 I'll most likely end up getting this one. I also played 19, 20 and I missed everything up to 23 and from my pov 23 is like a whole new world for me. I'm someone that only plays career mode and while I may not get ea fc at launch I might end up getting it eventually especially if I like what I see. Compared to Madden which has fallen into the abyss I can say I enjoy fifa pretty well. However while there's a lot that I'd change it'd take a while before I get tired of the game. You do make some great points here though and I can see where you're coming from.

as someone who doesn't really take the game that seriously and just play it as a little side part of my hobbies, I actually have fun with 23. so I guess I'll enjoy this one too cause there will be some improvement as well. great video btw Vizeh. :)

The only way i buy EAFC is if they add crossplay to pro clubs, or make some significant improvements to career mode. Like imagine how incredible career mode could be just if you could start at earlier years than the current one: it'd be so cool just to be able to go back to earlier seasons, and play starting from e.g. 2007 and try and build up your own version of prime Barcelona, or go back to like 2000 and save Sheffield Wednesday from relegation, or go back just a few years and actually sign Haaland as Man United, knowing the weapon he would become. It could even have an "alternate history" type aspect, where some current stars never reach their potential, but others take their place (e.g. Bojan becomes the best player in the world, whilst Messi falls into obscurity, or Ronaldo never rises to compete with Messi, but instead someone like Neymar goes to RM and becomes a club legend). Itll never happen cuz EA is way too lazy, but itd be incredible to see.

Dynamic packs just make fut more pay to win. Honestly it blows my mind how little EA actually listen to their community. We don’t want much.

I really hope they’ll start to add new leagues and not only more english divisions i want Serie C and The 3rd spanish division is really needed and of course how did it take ea so much time to add online career mose and i am very happy for that that’s the only part i like but wow i hate that career mode never gets any good updates i’d love to have more cut scenes and mascots

I completely agree with what you said about everyone will forget about the mixed teams in fifa after 1 week. They have mixed teams in NHL 23 and literally nobody cares.

I don't really care much for Pro Clubs, Ultimate Team and whatnot, so I'm good sticking with 23 for the time being. Right now, the only reason I have even thought about buying EAFC is because there is a chance it could feature the team from my hometown, which just got promoted to the Spanish Second Division.

My first fifa was fifa 06, stopped playing until fifa 10, then didn't play a fifa until fifa 23. I personally like playing career mode, and i wish EA would do more with it. I'm most likely going to get EA FC 24 but maybe not on launch, depends on what it looks like gameplay wise

If there is a stadium creator similar to that of other EA Sports games or the team creator is expanded and improved more, there is not much difference between that and FIFA 22 I still play

The last FIFA I bought was FIFA 21. I never buy it year after year. Every 3-4 years I buy it, because that way I get to experience more changes than there actually are 😅 It’s definitely not worth it, EA are the scummiest company in the gaming industry pretty much, and if anyone doesn’t deserve the money, it’s them. I am a Career Mode player. If I see that there’s enough changes, I might just buy the game on Christmas when it goes on sale with a massive discount 😊

Honestly, Vizeh, I'm a Career Mode specialist. I still just play PES 21 with updated rosters & kits.

The main problem with ultimate team is that its too easy to get really high rated cards and there is way too many promos, back in the day the teams were a lot more balanced and fun.

It’s EA, all they care about is money so the game will never drastically change and most of the updates will just go to Ultimate Team. That’s why you never see a game mode like pro clubs that’s actually better than FUT never get any good updates. If pro clubs was generating money it would be a whole different game mode right now. That’s why I stopped buying Fifa and I’m going to be supporting efootball and UFL instead cause at least they’re free and won’t charge players $70 a year for the same game.

100% agree with the icon and hero issue the need to remove like 50% of the old icons and stop adding new ones as half of the icons arent even usable after the 1st 2 promos, don't know why they can't do that its not hard

FIFA 22 was my first fifa, and I usually play career mode it’s fun doing all of these kinda stories, one time I try to a in the champions leuage with afc Richmond or I did. Road to glory with a Munich team in the 3rd division

Unpopular opinion but even though I've played UT since Fifa 15, and I'm well aware of it's flaws, I still love it. I never spent Fifa points, and the game is ass and unfair at times. But when you truly play it like I do, fully casually, not caring about winning, it's such a fun experience. I average a couple hours per day, since then, and still love the damned game. And a lot of people tell themselves they play for fun but they only fool themselves, they end up still getting annoyed at the bullshit, I can't stress this enough, stop trying to fool yourself, you'll only make it worse. I stopped believing their marketing since Fifa 17, when I still cared about winning, so no, they don't fool me. I know the game is almost always the same, but I just love football that much that the UT experience gets me by the balls

While I think it will be the same, if new competition arrives with the FIFA license EA will invest more into not falling into irrelevancy like pes did for not trying to compete.

Though EA Sports just don't care about anything other than money, there would be a time when EA would realize that the reason they are a billion-dollar company is because of us customers who purchase their game. I absolutely agree with Vizeh, but I will still purchase it as I have bought every FIFA since FIFA 10. I enjoy playing it with my mates, and of course, career mode and ultimate team are still good enough. We all might complain about EAs lack of understanding and involvement, but there will be a time when the tables turn, and a day will come when EA will be listening to our demands.

I watch your videos about you explaining how EA don't care and how the only game mode they update is FUT because they earn money off it. I completely understand where you're coming from I have quit FUT because I'm spending all my money on it and sbcs lure me into spending all my players to get a player pick which I get nothing from, so I do more sbcs and to the point where I have no fodder and have to buy packs to get more I only really get the game at this point because of the updated rosters for CM to be fair

Completely agree Viz, ea are going to add new “exciting” features to get people to play their new game, and forget what they really need to build up on, like pro clubs and the obscene amount of promo cards there are. If there main selling point in eafc are a new co-op game mode, why would anyone bother? For a once great game it has fallen to absolute shreds, and it is all down the ea’s greed

As someone who stopped playing FIFA around 18 and bought 23 at launch, the only reason I'll buy this is to just say I got the first EAFC. I probably won't play EAFC past 24, because knowing EA the game will not change for at least 2-3 years. I hope that we get a slightly new, not recycled football game as we always do but the way EA do things, it's just pointing closer and closer to that.

The only thing that has saved the FIFA franchise for me is the Mods and creation tools available for PC, which EA tried to kill with the "Next Gen" release. If it weren't for the really solid modding community that keeps things relatively fresh my last FIFA would've been Fifa15 lol.

We're going to see the same with the F1 franchise. F1 23 has the hallmarks already with what essentially is FUT in the game.

This is a huge opportunity for e football and pes for 2025, the only thing holding that game back is the licensing. Unlike fifa, It actually feels like you can play proper football on pes

I dont even care for game improvements (although career mode overhauls would be fantastic), I just really want an experience improvements - better crowds, more choreos, new stadiums, bayern & barca & serie a back, etc.

I want Career mode overhaul to buy (and maybe transferable icons from soccer aid to another team like Zidane to Juve for example)

But, what if the last fifa game was fifa 18 on the switch, and I'm interested in FC24 on switch?

I only play career mode from time to time. I stopped playing FUT in 2019 i think, its too much work, i just wana have fun after work.

"Burnt out" is an understatement I turn 25 next Friday and that would mean that I've been playing this game for 17 years. Career mode has not changed a single bit, safe to say I won't be buying another football game.

From the leaks ive heard so far it sounds quite good, i dont really play ultimate team to be honest so, i will be buying it for career mode, just because its easier than waiting for mods to update for 23 to get new transfers and such.

I have not bought fifa since 18 but was given a code for ps5 from a friend at xmas and honestly, I have enjoyed it .I have played it since i can remember 1st time being on sega megadrive ,i will say the amount of toxic players is crazy eg messages or quit when drawing

After getting away from ultimate team and moving back to manager mode, I’ve had a lot of fun playing fifa. I know career mode isn’t that good rn, but I enjoy it, making sure I have proper squad rules in my saves, and trying to keep transfers as realistic as possible. I think w ea moving away from fifa, they’ll focus more on offline content now and less on ultimate team. I know a lot of ppl won’t like that, but it’s about time, and I hope I’m right. I think the main point I’m trying to express is that if you wanna have fun playing fifa again (and not have it be like an addictive drug), take a step back, play less often, and think what makes it fun for you. Focus on why you play in the first place and then go back to enjoying what the game has to offer. Only time will tell whether ea will make improvements, but we have to be patient in the meantime.
