I've played Doom 3 many times and I didn't know about this secret exit. I liked the video, at least I learned something about this game again. Yes, I know, Doom 3 is a different game than the rest of the games in the series, but I like it. It has a great atmosphere, I like the story of the game. I don't mind how it is in this game with a flashlight, you will hold either a flashight or a weapon in your hands. This is the only game in the series where all weapons must be reloading. Which I like, it adds realism to the game. In other games, only pump shotgun and double-barreled shotgun must be reloading, but this weapons is reloading automatically after each shot. I'm glad they added double-barreled shotgun to the Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil. Doom 3 is a game where there are a lot of realism. A Doom Marine can't survive a fall from a great height, he can't breathe on the surface of Mars, he has to collect oxygen bottles to breathe in etc. Of course, there are a lot of oddities. Why doesn't the Doom Marine put a helmet on his head, he could be breathing on the surface of Mars. Why don't he stick a flashlight on his gun so he can shoot and light his way at the same time. Never mind, it's just a game, it's better not to ask questions like that. As for the Doom series, I'm a fan of this series. If I had to choose the most popular game, I don't know, every game has its own charms and I enjoyed all the games I played. I finished playing Doom 1993, Doom 2, Final Doom, Doom 3, Doom 3: Resurrection Of Evil and Doom 2016. I wasn't playing Doom 64 and Doom Eternal, but I plan to play this games in the furure. Doom is one of my favorite game series, it is all, have a nice day.

I played this game religiously and I didn't even know this. 😄 btw you can just crouch down to completely dodge the commando's charging tentacle stab, but only on max range to medium range. If his body is at point blank range, the tentacle's hitbox will be low enough to hit your head. Be careful as if he still alive after the charge, he will spam high kick over and over.

Doom 3 is better than Doom 2016 and Eternal. Makes you feel like in a horror movie. Doom 2016 and Eternal feels like a large multiplayer arena map, jumping around platforms, all those colorful monsters and chaos doesn't feel as thrilling.

I just bought the Xbox version which runs on my Series X and this game still looks incredible even after almost two decades. I don't care what people say but Doom 2016 and Eternal bored me to death and Doom 3 will always remain the best Doom game for me personally...and one of the scariest game to ever exist!!

They should make a modern sequel to this game!

It's been half a decade since I last played this. Never - EVER - I would thought such a thing was possible. Who would've thought...almost 20 years of existence, and still has something to teach...am I right to assume that people are looking back to Doom 3 with different eyes this time, 3 years after Doom Eternal? I would love for more people to try appreciate Doom 3. I love this game, and it deserves more attention. And...I would love to play at OpenCoop mod in this game with anyone haha

Doom 3 is soooooooooo slept on and my favorite of the series.

I really wish we got that open world Doom 4 which would have been a direct sequel to Doom 3. Idk COD style Doom with an open world sounded really damn cool, and early concept art showed that the demons in the 2016 reboot were the demons designed for Doom 4. I really want a modern day Doom.

This reminds me of 2005 when I was just in college. At that time, this type of game was really fun, DOOM, FEAR, FAR CRY... The only thing that bothered me was that the flashlight in DOOM3 couldn't be always on. When you had a flashlight, you couldn't hold a gun. But I finished it that year, and it was all in English.

I love finding new secrets in games years after first playing them. This is probably more of an oversight of some sort than an actual exit. I think the final map of Quake also had some invisible exit near the ceiling of the boss room... I'd have to ask my friend, though, he is the bigger Quake nerd ;) And speaking of "years after", just a couple of years ago I found a new secret in the first level of Resurrection of Evil that I had never seen before. I haven't seen it shown on any YT videos, so I suppose most other players don't know about it either. It's in the large dark room of ruins near the start, where you have to remove/insert power cells into a generator for the first time. Near the room's entrance (coming from the level start) is a very thin ledge over the abyss, which leds to a small platform with goodies.

Just FIY if you didn't know this. When zombie soldier with the whip instead of his arm attacks you, duck under it, his attack will go above you, and you can shoot him with the shotgun instantly taking him out, if you are up close to him. Just don't sit too long under his attack or he will kick you. Yes, he can actually punch or kick you if you are too close to him. So try to one shot him, if you don't want to take any damage while ducking.
