I was thinking same thing. And I know my kids don't just want 1 fruit all week, give them some variety. I also want to know how the kid with 3 huge watermelons is going to eat them whole like she pit them in the fridge. Oh and 1 kid gets 3 huge watermelons, another huge bag or lemons and then the oldest gets 3 little star fruit.

Absolutely not defending Lush but I do the same…pet my dog, grab some ice, give some to the dog…and I feel like I wash my hands a lot. Just not in between small kitchen things when it’s just us. And unlikely for bacteria to flourish in the ice unless it’s a psychrophile. Which isn’t routinely found on our hands or on a dog…

Just before she petted the dog she said, “ I don’t want to be up this early.” THEY DON’T HAVE SCHOOL!!! Those kids won’t be up til noon!!! All the can’t they are after they “went to bed” they didn’t fall asleep until 0300!! Oh she pisses me off so much. I caused a huge ruckus on her page last week when I said we never see the kids eat any of this food. Her followers freaked out and said well that's a privacy thing. Why should she show them eating? I said perhaps not eating the whole meal, but at least coming to grab some food and go sit down as a family. Her followers were irate with me.

I really don’t get the point of this post. Not every school is the same. My kids have access to a microwave and we live in Florida. Such a weird mentality to have in such a huge country that just because your school or your family does things one way, that’s the way everyone and every school should do it/

She has a son with autism and a few others with other issues and by law, schools have to accommodate these kids. Maybe some are allowed to use the microwave in the teachers’ lounge with adult supervision since their Dad is a teacher. One of her kids is in a culinary program and might have access to a microwave there. I don’t know, it just doesn’t seem that far fetched to me.

My husband has been watching with me. His words were and I quote “she’s as dumb as a box of rocks!” I just shake my head and think “does she think we are stupid. Just buying fruit isn’t the answer. A healthy balanced diet is the answer. One sweet treat per day per child is fine. But,a refrigerator full of Hershey bars that he has access 24/7.

Alicia is an addict , no other way to put it. She looks for a dopamine hit at every turn, she looks for a high and seeks attention constantly. She gets angry and lashes out when people don't agree and gets very spiteful. All highly immature and lacks the ability to parent her children in a positive way. It's all easy , what's fun or going to get her the attention/praise she craves. I used to hate watch her but ever since that fridge restock I cant even stomach it. I Feel for these kids. They are going to have a hell of a time trying to navigate life switching from childhood to adulthood. Life is hard enough and without the proper skills or tools they will be struggling.

I love lemons. Only a couple wedges at a time though. They are delicious!! But I have a very strong palette for sour. Probably not something most people like or enjoy though 😅

very ridiculous I’d say if there is a slim chance that he’s a kid who just likes to eat lemons constantly that many lemons would not be good for his teeth would not be good for his throat. It’s just too acidic and abrasive it just doesn’t make any sense, she literally has no brains.

It makes no sense to prep that for lunch at home. I imagine a line of kids waiting to heat their lunch up individually in the microwave. Eat the leftovers for lunch but warm it all up at the same time. So strange.

The only time Lush uses strawberries and blueberries is when she does Monday muffin board and adds grapes ,only reason Lush buys berries is for content for muffin board Monday .the kids don't eat those things,if they really ate berries she would buy a lot more

On one of the videos she states that she took one of the girls to the pediatrician for something and he told her to change the child's diet because her cholesterol was to high. Alicia said she will never go to that doctor again, went on and on about how dare him.. WTF???? Thats the reason we all go to doctors, you dumbness!!

I wish a nutritionist would go through one of her videos and give their opinion 😂 it would be hilarious. Those poor kids are on lots of meds for adhd and sleeping. Pretty sure some of them take clonidine at night. If you don’t know what that is, it’s commonly prescribed to kids with adhd to knock them out at night. It is a blood pressure medication, it makes them sleepy because it drops their blood pressure really low!

Creating diabetes in people is no joke. I have some food issues since a child. A few years ago, I could only eat one thing, frsted flakes. This went in for a little over a year. With therapy and some meds I finally came out of it, but not before I was diagnosed with diabetes and dental problems. I wouldn’t have wished that on anyone least of all my kids. To knowingly give that much sugar (which releases opioids and endorphins into the bloodstream) to children is creating addiction. Kicking sugar can be as tough as quitting cocaine l. She should have those kids removed pronto.

Elevate your sauce - add a couple of cloves, a cinnamon stick, and a couple of bay leaves. Simmer for 3-4 hours (or longer). Remoeve the clove (if you can find them) cinnamon stick & bay leaves. We cook in massive batches, or for friends when they are popping over. Usually, it is a special request by the kids. Thanks hubby's Nonna, for the recipe!

I was literally quiet whole morning after hearing her story, it was so heartbreaking to see such young baby suffer, she is so strong my heart goes out to her 💖 I hope the family vloggers see her story, having healthy child is a blessing. If I were her, I'd meal prep. I'd have a breakfast and lunch fridge, dinner fridge, drink fridge, and 3 freezers. I would meal prep on holiday breaks for all breakfasts for the next few months. (Muffins, waffles, pancakes, bagels, egg cups, breakfast burritos) I would prep lunch before bed and dinner would be prepped after the kids left for school. The way she does things is weird. I'm not cooking every day. It's just unnecessary. Besides content, no normal stay at home mom bakes everyday and makes lunch every morning. There are breakfasts she could even make in an instant pot or slow cooker. She wouldn't have to cook in thr morning, just dump and go the night before.

@janievasquez9671 she meant the entire house. There is no way, if she had a house check now, her house would pass. We have regular house checks for the kids we take in and while homes don't have to be perfect, they do have to be sanitary and safe. The dougherty house is not up to standards now for vulnerable children (or any child!!) If she was still fostering it wouldn't be allowed to be as dirty as it is.
