Totally!! I actually hadn’t even noticed that but now you say it…of course! It’s the same sized lunch for all of the kids regardless of their age. Ridiculous

Right? How strange! I get a bad feeling watching her... the way she packed those lunches was not with a mother's love. It was like a caregiver who is sick and tired of having to be a caregiver and is sick of the routine. Throwing every single item instead of packing their foods gently and precisely. All of the single-use packaging. There are compartmentalized lunch boxes that could make it a lot easier for her, but she buys chips in single-use cans, etc. that take up a lot of space. Organization would be a handy skill to have with so many children. I've seen this kind of "caregiver" behavior before and it's as if she's exhibiting restrained hostility because she's bitter about her role in life... that SHE chose. Imagine the children in her care watching her pack their lunch like that. They might not be able to understand or articulate it, but that kind of retrained hostility can be felt a mile away! That breaks my heart.

That’s exactly what we had to do. We’ve been struggling with food and I’ve put my foot down and there are just certain things that don’t come in the house anymore or they only come on special occasions. Proud of my kids for curbing the soda addiction. I HAD to bc the carbonation made me sick, if that wasn’t the case I would have struggled a lot more.

I made sure I only had mostly health options for my kids. They didn’t even know much about junk. And we did have rules. Bad or good but 2 cookies after dinner If you ate your meal for example. They did not have to totally clean the place but at least try the food. Likely now considered bad I know. But as a grandma I did raise my 3 wonderful kids that are now adults. One on the spectrum that is doing very very well At life and career as a Dad and creative designer. So I’m sorry. I can only speak for what I know. But I am open to learn. 🥰

Absolutely! Imagine how the kids would respond to having one on one time to prepare and pack their lunch with mom’s guidance. Even if she has to cycle through and focus on one or two kiddos each day, they would feel so special and successful. I work in a school cafeteria, we had a girl a couple years back that when we did our laundry (dish rags, cleaning towels etc.) the SPED teacher or aide would come get the clean stuff and let her fold them and bring them back to us. She loved getting to do that.

Her kids are fucking late teenage toddlers it’s ridiculous my seven years old does more for themselves than any of her kids combined and that’s because they want to my kids want to be independent they wanna be able to do things for themselves they want to start having some autonomy independence and free choice and they should that is crucial to their development Alicia I’m sorry to say it she’s one of the ugliest inside and out people I have ever came across and she is a piss poor parent

My daughter has an intellectual disability on top of other special needs. She’ll most likely need support throughout her life but she knows how to make her lunch, make a simple dinner, is learning how to do laundry, etc. She may have her limitations but she can still learn to do basics for herself. She’s also in a school program where they focus more on life skills which has been such a positive experience so far.

Someone replied to my comment on this saying that, said child is autistic (and as you may already know kids on the spectrum tend to be particular about food, often willing to eat ONLY very few foods, over and over again) but I'm just not sure about that. That’s literally my mom. She would never say no to anything that we wanted food related and served us super giant portions because as a kid grew up very poor. Thankfully I myself hate candy and sweets and have a somewhat fast metabolism or I’d be 200 lbs. my poor mom 😢

Yep. My mom would sort out our lunch and after school snacks. Items such as fruit, veggies, and the like we could grab as much of as we wanted. Then we had a basket with the snack cakes and such from which we could grab one per day.

I make the same sized lunches for my kids and there's 8yrs between eldest and youngest.... but they also get a lunch from school daily so what I pack is also afternoon tea if they didn't finish it 🤷‍♀️

@@laurelldockall2399 I don’t know about now, but when I was in elementary school almost 20 years ago we had just one microwave in the cafeteria and it was enough since they tend to make the lunch times be different for each grade and most kids get the school lunches or bring cold lunches anyway. I know my sister’s middle school had 3 and her high school now has 3 cafeterias and each one has a couple of microwaves each so there’s always one free.

I've experienced that behavior firsthand and you're absolutely right. She's exhibiting a lot of restrained hostility and resentment and even if the kids don't fully understand they can feel that negative energy being directed toward them. There is no care or love in anything she does and that can make you feel absolutely horrible. Coming from backgrounds of instability, they need to feel a sense of belonging, not witness "mom" being resentful when she has to do anything for them. That can only result in the kids feeling like a burden and feeling unloved and that breaks my heart for them. She is doing them no favors by not helping them to be independent and responsible even in small ways. I don't even want to speak it, but the truth is that this kind of behavior from a parent can cause kids to self-harm because they feel worthless and like a burden no matter where they go. Shame on Alicia.

The way she used the children in that short video of her saying that everyone criticizes her for making processed foods for breakfast, so she "took their concern into consideration", and made _homemade_ chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. Cookies! For breakfast! She put a single cookie on a paper plate and handed it to one of her young sons who was sitting with his head in his hands at the table and said "here you go, honeyyyyy" in the most saccharine-sweet and placating tone. It was sickening. Something is wrong with her, mentally. And the fact that she's an alcoholic makes the situation much more dangerous. She should be absolutely ashamed of herself for bringing alcohol into a home where children have been hurt (for life) by that exact substance. It's vile and cruel and it shouldn't be allowed. How is she (physically _and_ legally) able to foster these children when she's an alcoholic? It's so wrong. I feel really bad for the foster/adopted children in her care, and even for her biological children. Alisha creates a very toxic home environment for kids who come from rough circumstances and desperately need their home (which is chosen for them) to be a calm *sanctuary* of peace and safety with gentle guidance and nurturing. But she has so much suppressed aggression toward them that it's only a matter of time before something gives.

It’s not the water coming in it’s the sewage going out into her “broken” septic system. Yet she continuously runs the water when washing dishes. No scraping etc. just run the water.

I think Josh commented that the septic tank might be clogged with all the crap she feeds them which is why it’s broken, but she’s using plastic goods as a trick to gain sympathy

@@ruhappy2126 It seems that she doesn't care for their wellbeing. Kids need to feel that they belong, that someone cares, that someone loves them. They need structure, rules and guidance, from a responsible adult, a role model. She buys copious amounts of alcohol and junk food, doesn't ask for responsibility from them. Kids can use that at the moment, but they know when someone doesn't care what happens to them later in life and that hurts.
