FOR REAL! I am so happy to hear a candian experience whag we do and is able to validate how barbaric our system is. Root canals are insanely expensive! I had to have two last year, even after I had crowns put in, still cost me $1800 per tooth… plus potential damage to the new crowns I had put in just before. I even have dental insurance! Dental insurance in the US is a joke, the yearly max is just minuscule.

I always keep orajel in the house just in case. Tooth pain is some of the worst pain I have ever felt. And I've felt my fair share of pain lol. Great recommendation!

Yup. This is 1000000% america. And ppl die from shit like this all the time too. That ache in your tooth that hurts, but not bad enough to get it checked out? Or cheap enough to get it fixed if you do get it looked at? That leads to infection and people will literally die from that shit. It’s awful. Never understood why dental care and health care are separate. The mouth is part of the body!!! And dental care is so frickin stingy too! Like, this part of me is literally inches away from my brain. I need my mouth to EAT and SPEAK. Can we PLEASE stop making it so hard to even find somewhere that offers dental, and actually make it worth it. Sucks what ppl go thru with this. And worst of all, it’s just so dehumanizing for someone with bad teeth to not be able to look at themselves in the mirror bc of it. Like that can really hurt a person in their soul. It sounds lame but it’s true. And it’s sad to see. Whether it be bc drugs or eating disorders or just not being taught it as a child… very sad ): Everyone should be able to look at themselves in the mirror and not hate it when they smile.

@@michellehuhn7303 exactly and even most health plans don't include dental unless you pay a ton more for it. Only thing that saves us is all medical in Mexico. Which in a way is sad but thankful to be able to go to Mexico.
