Friendly reminder to all the people supporting the vendors, they have no where to wash their hands and I have seen them drop their tongs and drop food. And friendly reminder to the angry Gaslamp owners, California Senate Bill 972 is your enemy, not the mayor.
I realize Mexicans and asian are the the expensive things in this world , I remembering buy one hot dogfor 10$ and it taste like garbage like some school lunch crap.
I.D the vendor if the from there if not they can't post sell or get cited violation ticket and take a picture next time they come and they aren't a resident they get arrested.
Bruh......😂😂😂 they just dont want competition with great AFFORDABLE food carts. Not just that but im not FORCED to give a tip because those SAME BUSINESSES dont want to pay the workers they have a liveable wage FOH Downtown businesses should focus more on cheaper, better quality food. Pay workers liveable wages and stop forcing customer to tip.
Those restaurants better build a value menu quick if they want to survive. And run a special during the times those vendors show up. Compete because people have had it with inflation.
The vendors with useless permits issued by the corrupt city are way out of line price wise 8 Dollars plain Hot Dog? The Restaurants still gouging customers and blame high prices because of COVID shut down! The Same city officials shut down the Bars and Restaurants which was all a scam!
Many famous restaurants or food chains has pictures in the walls showing how they started. Many of them started as street vendors. Why they reject those poor guys whom value more??
Their restaurants will be foreclosed if they can't stay in business. Every year, the government sends them a bill for the taxes on their home and restaurant. Anybody who doesn't pay gets kicked out.
Because the gouging over priced Gaslamp Restaurants cant handle the competition! Listen those hot Dogs are Bullet Proof safe. The Drug Addict laying on sidewalk is not!
Its called capitalism. Free market,eh? Yeah because I really want to pay $38.00 for a small meal and a tip of 25% for lackluster service when I can buy a hot dog for $4.50....
Street vendors aren't hurting your business, your prices are hurting your business. If your food was priced better those vendors wouldn't get enough business to survive.
Pretty low to undercut legitimate businesses right in front of them. I think the concept of vendors is a good one, but they need their own place to operate, away from real businesses that pay permits, fees, and taxes.
the way everybody wants to show these poor working people 😂 and the stupid mayor criminalizing them instead of walking them through legalization he immediately put them aside from restaurant owners i’m pretty sure the mayor has a bigger interest on a rent control bill for everybody struggling in this city than for these hardworking human beings i don’t see why restaurant owners worry so much about street vendors is it that they offer better menus than their restaurants or why the mayor and the owners are so worried about people working on trying to make ends meet with this prices only the mayor can afford some jealous good fqng restaurant not many other people can! 😂😅
