@DawnS Clark ... Ya, not sure, but he was doing everything apparently you're supposed to do. I would have to evaluate specifically some of the things he was eating, maybe he was overloading on the organ meats or something that's super high in Iron?

When you are grocery shopping, that three in tall list of ingredients written so tiny you can hardly read it. Is like a list of INFLAMITORY ingredients. Almost every one of them can cause inflammation in one area of the body or another and also the vast majority of them also cause your insulin to spike 300% or more, even the ingredients that sound good for you like, cultured celery powder, paprika extract and "VEGETABLE BROTH" which is massively deceiving. If even a small amount of "VEGETABLE BROTH" in premium wild caught tuna gives you a blinding migraine headache and vomiting it is not anything like the vegetable broth you might make at home with some onions, carrots and potatoes. ITs akin to calling soysauce vegetable broth, or russian vodka potato broth or vegetable broth. 1/2 of the benefits of the carnivore diet are not what meat brings to you but all those dozens of inflammatory ingredients you are avoiding.

@@RandomHuTaoSimp Advanced technology has surfaced that our ancestral diet was plant based and meat was obtained on a less frequent basis. I don't really have a problem with hybrid plants unless research shows they are not nutrient dense. Please understand, I would like to buy into Sr. Berry's theory about the PHD diet but am struggling with what I believe to be viable counter points to his theory... I've improved my health tremendously by avoiding processed food and alcohol. I lean towards "whole foods" in my diet and don't think that a carnivore restricted diet is in any way an optimum diet. In other words I don't see it as a "Proper Human Diet."

@amysepan804
@amysepan804 3 месяца назад
@bugzziee it may take more time. There are some people who find that it takes about 90 days to heal, sometimes even before weight loss can happen, if you have a lot to heal from. Sometimes, especially if you came from eating a diet that was higher in oxalates, it takes longer for all the oxalate buildup in your tissues and organs to eventually release. The pain can even come back for a bit, as it did for me, and now it's a little better again. Some carnivores are finding that after years on carnivore they will still go through times when stored oxalate starts dumping again. Still, better out than in. Look up a RU-vid video with Kelly Hogan and the author of the book Toxic Superfoods. I can't remember the author's name, but it was a helpful video. I hope you find your healing!

Hello, I am 79 and today is Saturday last Sunday I started carnivore only, I had tried other diets and still felt tired out exhausted and ate all over. I was sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I know I’m old but I felt worse than I know I should’ve been today. I woke up for the first time eager to get out of bed and I’ve got more work done today, than I used to get done in a week , I haven’t needed to sleep and last night I slept through without having to get up for the loo or having to take indigestion mixture. This might be just a one off but I pray to whoever is running the world it lasts. As my pain is reduced by 75%.

Dr. Berry is so right! The first time I tried the carnivore diet, I lasted a few weeks. In just that short period of time, my skin, sleep, joint pain, brain fog, and even body odor improved. Then I decided to have some pound cake with ice cream along with spaghetti with meat sauce. By that evening, my sinus, knees, ankle, and the skin on my forehead said, "Oh really?! We're doing this again?! No problem, I got something for you!" When you get away from the pain, brain fog, itchy rashy skin, and awful sleep, everything feels so much worse. I don't miss the old me.

Brain fog I ended up with shingles and ringworm at the same time this summer The only way to keep my body happy is eating ruminant meat and raw dairy ( sparingly ) however - although pain reduces and energy increases muscle twitching goes crazy and other issues amp up so it’s a trade off for sure . I need to figure out how to strength train and grow muscle . It’s hard with all the health issues

@Christinesobservations Start wherever you are with strength training. If all you can lift is a can of soup (yes, they're good for some things), lift a can of soup, and repeat throughout the day. You are waiting for your water bottles to fill at the Berkey, hold on to the counter top and alternate lifting your legs behind you. Using your own weight and easing into movement can be a great start. Good luck, you've got this 🎉

A few things that help that happen more and more, are : Pay for it as you can, even if it means no longer spending on extra shoes and purses, salon visits, boy toys or etc. . Conventional farming and the national chains like Walmart, made for unrealistically low prices to even begin to use to fairly compare to what that food would and should cost, grown naturally/OG/regeneratively and more independent, local ways to access that local food. Not that farming better necessarily costs more, although often the transition costs/losses/challenges are HUGE, but, again, 99 cent eggs may just be completely impossible using any healthy model of production, unless and until the farm gets really "dialed in" and has savings of large-scale. Also, I'm not saying farmers deserve to make a good income on a product which, alone, would cost way too much ( for ex., $25 a doz eggs) if that's the best they could to raise and sell eggs for a living to support a family of 4 or something. Maybe that's just not do-able and it needs to be only one part of a diversified farm. Less eggs but also be doing beef and pumpkins, for ex. . Bringing this up because of all the advice out there which is otherwise good, to regenerative farmers to figure out what they need for a paycheck and price their food accordingly. That is only fair and way over-do, for farmers ( former dairy farmer here !) YET that doesn't necessarily mean we should just all settle for $25 a doz. eggs, either. Oh yeah, main topic... 😁 : #2: Know more about all this so you can be prepared when the opportunities arise to share a nugget here, a vlog or book there. Read Joel Salatin's books, watch Alan Savory's presentation at Harvard U on RU-vid, about reversing desertification. It 100 % has to do with meat and ag. I also highly recommend Mark Sheppard's book restoration agriculture &/or recodings of his presentations about his farm, here on YT. Also Geoff Lawton/Zaytuna Farms in AU and his greening the desert project in Jordan. Also : Karl Hammer compost-fed chickens. For more awesome stuff on chickens, go to my channel, find the chickens playlist and enjoy !

I’m an NP and yes, absolutely. It’s time for re education!! I’ve been looking for something that would align in a private practice model and I think I’ve found it. I’m angered and horrified to realize we have been lied to about nutrition our entire lives. The pandemic cracked me out of the belief. I couldn’t understand why they were making these choices. They didn’t make sense. I assumed, like many, more specialized doctors had information I might be missing. Since then it’s been a non-stop awakening to truth.

The people who control the education process had/have an agenda, and it's neo-feudalism. Grain and plant-based food, along with bugs, is how to feed the masses while the ruling elite feast on whatever they want. It isn't a conspiracy theory, it is a conspiracy. One that is now openly talked about at the World Economic Forum, climate change summits, etc. It's why the green people are using cow farts to scare people away from red meat. Why would they be trying so hard to steer us away from red meat specifically? It's the most nutrient dense food our bodies can handle, yet they want us to be stuffed full of grain. It isn't because they are stupid or ignorant, it is with malicious intent. Unfortunately, those coming up in the medical profession, or general academia, are learning from them and just accepting it as truth without investigating for themselves. It isn't their fault, it is the evil coming from the top-down. "Satan governs the princes and principalities of this world."

I’ve rubbed shoulders with NP’s for years and some have been my friends and yes they have a long way to go yet to discover this phenomenon. None of them have given me any of this info. I’ve followed their advice of “bird seed”, juicing and smoothie regimens and the problems have persisted. Now changing my whole mindset as this immediately made sense to me. I was told meat was very acidic and would do more harm in the long-run due to their ideology that meat takes far too long to digest and then goes putrid in the intestines!!! Well I guess if you do it wrong this could happen. Some ppl cook the life out of meat and also eat too many other things alongside. There’s definitely much to learn🥰

Almost a year later...i was a vegan/vegetarian for 58 years. My body hurt, from digestion to joints. I tried many times to eat carnivore because i believe you guys. I believe carnivore is the proper human diet . My problem is i hate fat, gristle, cartilage or any texture in my mouth. It makes me gag. I hope to better tolerate it down the line. My hack is buying top round from my butcher and having the fat trimmed off, then the meat ground to burger meat, which i cook til crispy in butter. I also eat scrambled eggs ( i use an emersion blender to get them completely blended). And i sautee them over low heat in butter. This is what i can do right now. I thought maybe somene else might struggling.

Rena, I am so happy you put these things together! Dr. Berry got me to my 120 lb weight loss currently. Only 100 more to go. He got me started. People like you keep me motivated. He is absolutely correct in his description for people who cannot get off the couch. I was there! Started at 430 lbs. I lost almost all 120 lbs without exercise. I have loved exercise all my life, but in that state, it was just too painful and stressful to move. By the time I walked to the kitchen and back, my back and knees were in pain and I was out of breath. I hated moving. People ask me all the time about what kind of exercise I did in order to have that much weight loss. They are in disbelief when I say "Almost nothing". My body parts are healing (mainly knees and back) and I am loving the workouts I can do. Like Dr. Berry said, don't rush the workout. Diet alone will elicited huge changes in weight and health. Sit on the couch and get healthy, then move when you can!

I’ve been plagued with a massive sweet tooth problem all my life. It finally caught up with me. I just started on Dr. Berg’s carnivore diet and I feel so much better. My sweet tooth is finally getting under control and my anxiety level has diminished substantially. This has happened over a 3 week period! I feel far more alert and ready to tackle the world again! Oh, I forgot to mention that I was diagnosed with MS at age 71. ( although my neurologist said I’ve had it for 5-7 years prior to my first incident). Brain fog, fatigue, as well as anxiety have started to lessen since being on the carnivore diet!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr. Berry!!!

Out of interest, how was the MS diagnosed? That's very very unusual onset at 71 or even 65. There's a lot misdiagnosis of it especially in the states and especially because there's a lot of money to be made with the drugs given. It's a lot more conservative diagnosis in the UK for MS. Must have more than one lesion in the brain over time or space and markers in the spinal fluid.

I also haven't had the negative effects that people warned me about such as diarrhoea so I've been lucky. I don't plan on ever going back to eating how I did before

I'm a Carnivore plain and simple, I've never really been a fan of vegetables and seeds. Dr Ken Berry is the most inspirational person on youtube for the Carnivore diet it just all makes sense. I'm on day 4 of just meat, salt and water. I take electrolytes daily. Yes im feeling rough which is keto flu, but i was feeling rough most of the time anyway with having fatty liver so not much difference at moment. I'm doing this diet solely for my health, I'm 43 next week with fatty liver, high blood pressure and depression and anxiety. Coming of my medication would be great i dont want a blisterpack full of medication in my second half of life. If i lose weight its a bonus. I weighted myself at start of week and took blood pressure and i weighted 217lbs, I would like to get down to 180lbs, but coming off my medication would be amazing. Going to keep an eye on blood pressure weekly. I've also noticed being on this diet I'm not hungry, whereas when I've tried salad and rabbit food diets i was always hungry.

I'm going to be honest I have struggled with the diet, I'm still eating just meat and eggs for my meals no problem there. I haven't craved any bread, cereal or pasta and potatoes, veg hasn't bothered me either. It's the chocolate. I'm struggling with chocolate cravings so it's either the sweet taste or sugar. Thing is my weight is down to 190Ibs. I started going the gym and swimming and just keep telling myself that I can do it. Anyway I've had no pain in my right side with my liver, my dry skin on elbows and knees has gone, some days I have energy some days I'm tired. I quit smoking as well a week after starting the diet and still going strong. Silly things like healthy nails, healthy skin and I don't sun burn I just go bronze. Headaches have gone, skin tags around my neck have gone, I'm down a Jean size, I don't feel depressed anymore but my anxiety is still a struggle. My advice would be try to avoid stressful situations as this can cause cravings. And I'm really just experimenting with other things at moment. I have a little heavy cream in morning with my coffee, then at work I drink black coffee or water. I've recently added Greek yogurt to my diet but just a little every other day. Other than that I'm still enjoying Beef, butter, bacon and eggs. Chicken and pork also, no problem with the meat just a laps in discipline when at work. I'm a support worker who looks after adults with learning difficulties and autism. In there kitchen they have a goodies cupboard full of biscuits and cakes it's just shear temptation so when making them a brew with a biscuit I end up pinching one or two with my brew. Anyway me and the wife are trying our best as we've just got through some stressful times and we're encouraging each other to continue. Health wise I feel much better and stronger.

About 2 years ago I was 215 pounds and struggling with joint pain, acid reflux and other inflammatory issues. I tried a ketogenic diet and got my weight down to about 200 pounds. Then, 14 months ago I was diagnosed with diverticulitis, went on a couple of rounds of antibiotics and tried the high fibre diet prescribed by my gastroenterologist. Things got worse; I was in constant discomfort, gassy, and irritable as this interfered with my work. It was embarrassing and maddening. It became apparent that the "approved" diet for diverticulitis didn't work for me. I started re-watching Dr. Berry and then Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and this channel, among others. I read some books as well because I wanted as much information as possible. Just over two months ago I committed to a full carnivore diet. Literally within two days the diverticulitis symptoms disappeared, the joint pain was greatly reduced, I had no acid reflux and I've felt very well. I'm 75, work full time, am walking a lot and exercising daily. As of this morning my weight is 178 pounds and I'm eating as much as I want, mostly beef and some eggs and bacon. Occasionally, I have some fish and I'm still doing some intermittent fasting. The same folks who never said anything when I ate bread, pasta, etc., are now questioning my sanity and wondering why I am "depriving" myself. I find this both sad and amusing. I still drink about two cups of coffee - black - every day. My one guilty pleasure!

One step to counter anti-carnivore folks is by enacting and enforcing humane practices across the US. I was only tempted to vegetarianism due to the horrible conditions many animals must endure. I think this would undercut a major reason young folks are attracted to veganism and vegetarianism. I know that’s why both my sisters are vegetarians.

Great interview! Ken is one of the carnivore docs that got me started. Progress report below for those interested! Day 71 on the carnivore diet, began on Feb 28. I started with ribeyes, eggs, ghee, and beef tallow, but since day 43 it has been only beef, salt and water for SIBO, histamine intolerance, leaky gut, and celiac. Main symptoms were bloating (I didn't realize how bad until I started carnivore and now experience NONE) and rashes everywhere. I only eat at around noon and at about 6 pm, and total food for the day is around a kilo, or 2.2 lbs of beef. I don't snack and it is not a struggle at all, I really only start to feel hungry when lunch and dinner time are near. My rashes got much worse for the first 6-8 weeks, which is why I went strict beef, water, salt, to eliminate the possibility that eggs, ghee, or tallow was part of the problem still in my diet. Since I knew about oxalate dumping and the detox process I stayed the course. Around week 9 I hardly had any fresh rashes and what is left is drying up and healing. 11 years living with this problem after strep throat and 2 rounds of antibiotics. I have tried long term the Paleo diet, vegetarian, keto(but while vegetarian), and a diet that was personalized by a nutritionist, and I have never felt this good at any point in my life physically and mentally. Fitness and diet have been important for me since before the problems started, but the diet part I was getting wrong even though it was considered healthy. At about the 6 week mark I noticed that I felt stronger and more in control during my workouts than ever before. That hasn't stopped yet. I'm able to add extra weight to every workout, and I'm barely sore the day after. I can't believe the gains I'm making on this diet. I only take 4000 IU of vitamin D, and a few drops of iodine for supplements daily. I'm 6 feet tall and 39 years old, when I started the diet I weighed 165lbs (75 kg). Weight loss was not on the agenda, but since around the 2 month mark my weight hovers around 154 lbs (70 kg). I can't even hide my abs if I tried, I have never been so lean in my entire life. Before I began carnivore, I started a treatment that a team of specialists made for me based on all the bloodwork and tests and was taking over a dozen supplements during each phase of treatment. The funny thing is, literally the first thing I was told was that I was eating TOO MUCH red meat! Now that is the only thing I eat! I don't even know how much I blew on supplements, but it was significant because I live in Latin America now and they aren't cheap to get here. What a waste of 2 years following the treatment. Now my "supplement" is eating organ meats once in a while. Lately though I stopped eating it because I ate it to frequently one week and started to get swelling and pain in one of my fingers. When I started the diet I had the same thing in one of my big toes when I ate too much liver. Basically the beginning stages of gout from what I understand. So for those trying the diet, do be careful not to eat too much organ meats! Dr. Anthony Chaffee said he can count on 2 hands how many times he has eaten it in his life and doesn't believe it is necessary on the carnivore diet. I think I will follow that advice. I plan on continuing the lions diet (red meat, salt, water) until my skin is completely healed. Then I will look at slowly adding more carnivore foods one at a time to the diet to make sure I tolerate them before permanently adding it. I might end up ketovore in the end because I'd love to add things like avocado, coconut and coconut water to my diet. Whatever I do, it will be a diet that keeps me in ketosis, because damn, I can't believe how good I feel on no carbs! I share my story only in hopes that it will give someone else who struggles with mysterious health problems the courage to give this diet an honest try. I'm convinced that anyone who does the diet for 6-8 weeks will realize that WE ARE CARNIVORES, or at the very least, ketovores, when times were tough and meat was hard to come by. Good luck to everyone on their journey to optimal health!

He inspired me to try carnivore before (I fell off the wagon), but I’m back on now, trying high fat carnivore in hopes of kicking my sugar/carb addiction, but I have found over the past couple of weeks that I feel so WELL back on carnivore. My digestion is good. I never have acid reflux anymore so no more Tums in the middle of the night, and it’s true that it’s an elimination diet. I ate some goat cheese the other day, and later that night and the next day I was congested and headachy. I never though goat cheese was a problem before, but now I know it is. Parmesan doesn’t affect me this way. It’s very interesting. I think everyone should do a ruminant/beef carnivore diet for a few weeks, just to discover the benefits and to discover those foods that they may have thought were ok, but really do increase inflammation or congestion.

This is the best video EVER on carnivore! I never thought about this being a red pill moment for people when they realize we've been lied to about food... so what else have we been lied to about? 😁 I absolutely love this perspective. I've been doing carnivore for health reasons but I can see now how this fits perfectly with the great work that I've been doing on a human and spiritual level. This is so great! Carnivore is healing for us on all levels. ❤

The problem with coffee is that much of it has been poorly handled and has mold or other issues. One month off caffeine/coffee isn’t enough. It takes about six months for your brain to get back to normal. You can drink decaf but only if it’s water washed. Otherwise there’s who knows what chemical that renders the caffeine ineffective. I have been off caffeine for two years. Sleep better, no mid afternoon crash anymore. My energy is steady throughout the day.

I have a rare medical condition called Chiari Malformation Type I and I'm experiencing Brain stem Dysfunction and my blood glucose is averaging 175 to 275 everyday no matter what I eat, even when I eat meat with veg and whole wheat bread. It will go down to 130 if I don't eat at all. I'm hoping for surgery in the next couple months to help relieve the brain stem Dysfunction but I need a diet that is going to ease up the glucose roller coaster ride. It has also affected my thyroid, vision, salivary glands, central sleep apnea. I also have Lyme Disease, multiple disc issues and arthritis. I'm really hoping this diet does for me what it seems to have done for so many others. Thank you for sharing all of this information ❤

The only diet that has ever worked for me was the keto diet. Lazy keto but I ate lots of veggies, cheese, meat, eggs and dairy. I did it for a year between 2017-2018 and lost 40 lbs. Eventually I went back to eating potatoes, rice, pasta and bread but still ate lots of fats. I figured I could go back to those and try to maintain my weight but still gained almost all the weight I lost back. My brain had become foggy again and I’ve been irritated, angry even. My back acne had returned with a vengeance but for some reason, I didn’t care. I was addicted to pasta and bread. This past month, I’ve returned to low carb, this time with a heavy emphasis on meat and animal based fats. I’ve felt rough going back into ketosis and have had a summer cold that didn’t help but I woke up this morning for the first time in 4 years with no brain fog. I’m alert and my shoulders and hips aren’t hurting. I hope to stick with it this time. I forgot what this kind of clarity felt like, what not waking up lazy, pissed off and depressed felt like.

I've been doing carnivore 30 days after 3 months keto. I can't begin to say how much better I feel! Years of chronic pain is subsiding. Skin lumps and bumps are disappearing and my 73 year old skin is tightening! I have had small whitish spots up and down my thighs for over 10 years (not significant enough to be labeled vitiligo) but these unsightly spots are disappearing! I can't stop now, though in the beginning I intended to go back to keto, I will stay carnivore! Will my sugar cravings ever leave?🤯
@CP-nf9my
@CP-nf9my 7 месяцев назад
I also have a huge sensitivity to sugars and I've been off sucrose for over 25 years. Make sure there are no additives that you could be ingesting and switch up your meats-thinking it could be grains they're feeding them -I've even had to toss supplements that had forms of dextrose in them. Whenever I crave, I eat bacon (fat) and keep it around for that purpose. It gives me the crunch and flavor and that does it. (I buy pork belly so I add the seasoning.) It works, but the moments before, I'm close to cheating, so that's why I keep it ready. It's also emotional/addiction/habit, so I fight that. Find what works for you. Update: Dr. Chaffee says because cows are ruminants, the grains are no problem. Good!
