I get what you’re saying but It’s to fit in a slot in the market. It’s not A45 performance. It’s designed to compete with Golf R and M135. Merc are a business and it will make them money so they need a car in that specific 300hp area

As someone who has driven both, I went for the A35. Yes the BMW is a great car and is slightly faster but you dont actually feel it and it all comes down to the individual preference. Personally I felt the Mercedes had much more to offer overall. How often do people get the chance to turn up to a closed runway and reach 127? You dont, so arguing over 0.5 seconds is pointless!

i actually didn’t like this 1 series until I saw it in person. what a looker. and yes, it looks better than the A-Class, but that’s my opinion. however, I still don’t like it for that fact that it’s on a front wheel platform. Great video as always🙌🏽

Current gen BMW 1 has so many potential and very practical. Longer Wheelbase larger boot space, tech-savvy. It's a compact hatch but it doesn't feel squash anymore. Small hatch for rearwheel driving compromised too many things. BMW made a right choice.

TheCarnatic there isn’t gonna be a M140i since 40i is now held for six cylinder engines only. Which the M135i is only a 4 cylinder and you can’t fit a 6 cylinder in there cause the engine bay is too small. There is however talk of a M140e meaning it will use the 4 cylinder with some electric assistance.

Both cars' rear styling is almost similar, with both have that '35' number esp Merc which used 45 previously. M135i is always faster than both A45 and A35 anyways.

I can't get use to the Mercedes back lights, and how cool the new interior is, i also think it's too much. I would go probably for the BMW its clean sporty but casual/ buisnes look. But if i would get one, i would be happy with both of them.

I went for the m135iover an A35 and I was right! For the moment I keep it calm but as soon as I have a little thousand km I'll starr pushing it. For the moment I don't exceed 4000-4500 rpm ane it's already a hungry monster even in comfort mode.

The sad part is that the previous 1 series was faster, more dynamic and from what i heard the m140i, having an inline 6, was cheaper than this m135i that only has a 4cyl
