What is the primary difference between the GT2 RS and GT3 RS? I'm new to the Porsche fandom community. I thought the GT3 RS was the best of the best but this just proved my thoughts wrong!

@@grahamkracker456 the gt3 RS is a naturally aspirated track weapon focused purely on the driving experience and an utterly incredibly engine sound. The GT2RS is a turbo charged track weapon that is far more lairy and is monstrous in a straight line. This GT2RS is also the old model as they haven’t made a new comparable 992 GT2RS yet. When that arrives, not much will keep up with it in a straight line.

JCR let me drive his GT4RS .. very impressive and same power as my GT3RS with the custom exhaust .. great car… mine is much more track focussed though …

The JCR GT4 RS was rapid ! Without the exhaust I think it would have been closer.. I also wish I had played more with the diff settings etc on my GT3RS .. but on the day the GT4RS won fair and square.. it’s a great car.. thanks Johnny for letting me have a go too 🙌

Nah, the gt3rs has so much drag, it's obviously slower in a straight line but quicker around the track because of the formidable downforce

Ouch ! but I’ll take that !! It was my first drag race and first time using launch on the car.. I’m sure with a pro driver it would have been slightly closer.. but not enough to catch that GT4RS on the day.. it was pretty much same power as my car, lighter with a pro ex racing driver and better aero for drag racing.. my wing looks mega I think… but it’s for track downforce not drag racing !

​@@MinatoNamikaze-se9tm The GT2 RS is slower than the GT3 RS on that circuit 6.47 vs 6.44, you might refer to the GT2 RS MR which is a modified car. But any circuit is different so it would be great to watch.

The car has a tune and an aftermarket exhaust as well, they mentioned it at the start. Because the 4Rs really isn’t that fast

@@domonokun Carwow did just a race with the GT3 + 4 variants and the GT3 RS beat the 4 RS by a couple car lengths in the 1/4 mile.

Depends on the emissions regulations of that time, Porsche engineers have said that it’s no problem to get 600hp even from the N/A 4.0 - but they would need a less strict exhaust system and a bit higher rpm redline. But the regulations become harder every year and we should thank them a lot only for their efforts to keep n/a engines in the gt3 line nowadays

Turbo s would easily win starting from 0 and pretty definitive too since little to no wheel spin and would be far ahead. Rolling start would be closer to 2 RS

Probably not, the downforce isn’t good for drag races, around a track? Hell yes.

Gt3rs has a huge wing that creates alot of downforce hence slowing it down. And where did you see gt4rs being faster than a gt3😂😂.

Stock for stock they’re very similar, once the 4RS has some JCR mods, well.. This is the result
