Well, it's actually 197 @ the factory, and about 165 @ the wheels stock, so you're looking at about 70WHP difference for the kit. If you were to look at the end of the vid with the dyno chart, you'll see a before and after of the car's performance... That tune is pretty conservative considering that we were using standard 92 octane, and I'm sure there's a few more ponies left on the table there... :)

"Stages" are commonly used as an indicator of the 'aggressiveness' - a "Stage 1" kit will make less power than a "Stage 2" setup. A Stage 2 setup would involve more boost to get more power and more supporting mods to make said power, possible even a clutch swap, etc etc...

200BHP stands for 200 break horse power. Its measured without anything attached to the motor. Once you put on the transmission, driveshaft, rotors, wheels etc. you lose more and more power due to the weight of everything. When they dyno'd the car before the turbo it probably put around 150WHP, which stands for wheel horse power.

Everything was drop in, and the only cutting of OEM parts was the plastic shroud to fit the intercooler piping. That car in the video is currently testing @ 8PSI, and we've had well over 7000 miles on it since Oct 2012. Only other mods other than the turbo kit in Stage 1 is the AVO catback exhaust...

Drift-Office LLC can you explain to me how the removal of the front cat not cause a CEL when installing the avo kit.

When tuning the engine they disable the emissions code that would normally be thrown.

it gained about 80whp. the BRZ comes with 200bhp, not 200whp.

i dont get it, im form germany - sorry for my bad english so bhp is the old counting? PS? can u tell me how many ps it gained? Stock are 200 PS

Hey Drift Office. Just out of curiosity. Two turbo kits running at the same psi, but one makes significantly more power than the other. Would the one making more power stress the motor more? Reason I ask is because the PTuning base kit starts at 6.2 psi and they claim ~300 whp. When comparing to the AVO kit stg 1, that's a good bit more. Thanks in advance

What kind of mods had to be made to the car to allow room for the Turbo? Did there have to be any cutting of OEM parts or wires? Also, can the car handle the 5PSI? And also, what other mods are their besides the turbo? Thank you.
