New effective drills that I work on to improve my game that anyone can use to help boost their games.
In this video I work on taking forehand loops and pushes earlier and backhand spin adjustments with multiball. I then work on hitting to my opponents middle and then wide starting with serve, and lastly I work of using the backhand flip the whole table.
Hope you learn something that can be applied to your game!

For me training vids are always interesting. I like that you kept yours short and easy to watch. If you have any more "tips no one tells you" i would also love more of those!

Thank you for making these videos. They are definitely helpful! The drill where you spin to the middle, followed by an offensive stroke to either corner is a very good one. Good players like you practice a lot of match realistic drills.

Thanks! I’m also always analyzing my technique! Good luck! 👍 for instance I noticed I was standing a little too tall on my forehand loops in general! I think this is because I’ve been sitting too much haha my low back is tight! I have to stretch out more

Tip on moving to middle and reassessing if you're wanting to backhand flick is a good one! Last thing you want is being on wide forehand and they play fast cross.

Great video's, thank you! My main issue is reading service spin and being able to return. Any tips?
@PechPongTT
@PechPongTT Год назад
Yeah serve return is tough do you have a good understanding of what to look for when they touch the ball. I’ve been doing eye speed exercises and that has helped me better see the racket of my opponent through the hitting area.

Great videos. Keep it up. When you are attacking 3rd ball with a forehand loop such as at 2:21, do you use your wrist at all in the stroke? And how firmly are you gripping the paddle? While training on the robot, I've found that if I grip the paddle by my thumb and forefinger and be really really loose with my other fingers, I can engage the wrist more on the stroke and more reliably overcome the underspin. I'm not certain if this is a bad idea though and will lead to inconsistency. From the video it looks like you do not really use the wrist, but it can be hard to tell because it's so subtle.
@PechPongTT
@PechPongTT 3 года назад
This is a matter of preference I guess, I like to just feel relaxed and let my wrist flick by itself but many good players use their wrist a little. Always relaxed and the two finger grip you talked about. 👍 hope that helps!

Another great, informative video. I liked and trying to practice the middle then wide attacking and trying to implement it in the game, too. I have a question regarding this strategy, how to find the penholder player's middle, if any ?
@PechPongTT
@PechPongTT 2 года назад
Hey thanks, yeah a penholders middle may be harder to find it may be further towards the backhand side depending on how much they like to use the forehand, if they are Japan penhold with the punch block maybe test their wide wide backhand as it’s hard for them to reach over there.

also, would love to see a vid on tips for the offensive player...when/how to play defensively. e.g., when you're attacking and your opponent decides to lob to you....would you consider chopping their shot? or when to block a shot. or when to push. OR is it (most of the time, without much fail) backspin serve, push a few times, then attack attack. Do you see much need to defensive serve, attack, pull back and defend (block, chop)...wait...then attack attack. curious...
@PechPongTT
@PechPongTT Год назад
I like that idea for a video, that may be a good tactics video with some drills I think it’s becoming more common for players to use defense now that the ball is a little slower has less spin and bounces higher. More often it’s an aggressive block but still defensive

my coach most recently told me to move to the middle (for my backhand) less....and start favoring the forehand more. it's always been kinda confusing to me (as a intermediate) when is it ok to move to the middle for BHs...or should i reserve BHs only really for the BH 1/3 of the table, preferring FH for the FH 2/3rd of the table. would like more drills for this.
@PechPongTT
@PechPongTT Год назад
Yeah it really depends on your strengths as a player if you have a great forehand and move well then I think taking more forehand is good but if you have a better backhand than most players you can favor that and keep playing them in their backhand

How many days do you practice a week? Are there any kinds of players you dont praftice with?
@PechPongTT
@PechPongTT 3 года назад
Hi I try to practice at least 5 days a week minimum 1-2 hours. I work more now so it’s harder to find time but I do. I also do fitness training 3 times a week. I try to practice with the best players I can find, If I cannot then I usually find a player and practice against their best strengths or teach them how to give multiball! I try to practice with anyone and everyone who is willing to try their best :)
@bronzong91
@bronzong91 3 года назад
@@PechPongTT very good ideas! I will use them for my practice. I am trying to convince my friends to feed me multiball. I think its very important for creating those very specific situations that come up in matches but not so much regular training.

How do I make legs like you?
@PechPongTT
@PechPongTT 2 года назад
Thanks! Consistent exercises I’ve been focusing on building my leg muscles for over 6 years now biking, lunges side lunges, box jumps, frog jumps, kangaroo jumps where the knees come up to the chest as well as lots of jump rope, also doing forehand full table multiball helps. You can also do squats. Good food, good sleep, and keep it up! Hope that helps!
