An easy guide for good tee hight, ball position and attack on the upswing.
Let me help you get an effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. I call it the circle of speed. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook. How to swing a golf club need to be adjusted to your skill level and experience.
Long and straight is the goal for everyone but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill. We focus too much on rotation but no good golf shot will be executed just by rotating.
I’m naturally right handed but all my tips works for both left handed and right handed golfers.
We also need to understand that many myths in golf are misleading. Everything that you find on the internet isn’t true. Ben Hogan, Sam Snead are two of legends that are often misunderstood.
We shall not keep our head still, only start with the hips, look only at the ball or keep the left or right arm straight.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can always get better.
Find what inspires you. Golf basics are the same for everyone. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway, Pete Cowen and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots. Linn Grant, Viktor Hovland and Ludvig Aberg can show you the future of golf.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to master it.

Hi Marcus I have given up watching videos where the title starts with the word secret . There appear to be so many secrets in golf that no one watching these videos know which secret is true. Thank you thank you so much for making me understand the correct way to swing the club without all the BS thats spoken elsewhere. This is believable, and common sense with only a change in thought process and practice to change things for the better. I promise you that at 71 i have started hitting the ball better than when i was 40.

I have never seen any other instructor demonstrate the low point of the driver swing being so far back and to the inside like Marcus does but it is a GAME CHANGER. For me tee ball high in the middle of the stance, minimal spine tilt then swing from the inside with the low point where Marcus demonstrates, best ball striking I've had in 25 yrs of playing! (And considerably longer). Thanks Marcus

Using Marcus' teachings my Driver shots off the tee are more reliable and when I get it right, longer. Thanks Marcus. It is all still new to me and not 100% ingrained as a habit yet. For an older guy ( 67) and swinging at 90 m.p.h. ( +/- 5 mph) I am up there with the better players in my age bracket now .

Awesome video Marcus. I always wonder about your trigger that looks as though you hover the driver head above the ball.🤔 When I try to release as you say I sky the ball. I don’t think it’s because of hitting down. Rather I think I’m throwing the driver head under the ball. I thought maybe a similar trigger might help me counteract this. Any advice would be appreciated.
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 3 года назад
Hi Christian. If you sky the ball your low point is very close to the ball/tee. Try to make an erlier release and get the low point a foot before impact. It is timing, nothing else. 👍

I notice, most of your weight at address is on your trail leg. Does this help the early release with the driver
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 3 месяца назад
Sadly not. Set up will never hit a golf shot. Timing is a skill that we need to practice. Exaggerate early/late until you start feeling the difference. 👍

Hi Marcus, What's happening when you sky the ball. It goes really high and straight but not too far?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 10 месяцев назад
Mike. To avoid a sky ball we need to hit more up on the ball. When the lowest point in the swing are close to the ball we get a sky ball. It needs to be about a foot before impact to be effective. The release is very late. With this to understand: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YQicyxSJjTA.htmlsi=a3XDIERS2pcomi17

I either get a draw or hook. My toe is up at finish. I'm wondering if I am too inside out at impact. Or face is closed?
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad

Hi Tory. Something is turning the face to a closed position at impact. I can't tell you what it is without having in a lesson but start hitting a straight push with an open face and you will feel the difference.

Sorry my friend but it could be so many things. It sounds like your numbers are great, start with trying a new low spinn driver.
@scottp6761
@scottp6761 Год назад
Different low spinning shaft and use a medium level ball. Not something that spins a lot like PrOv1x. I would suggest the Callaway soft. It doesnt spin a lot and will get more distance. Also Wilson smartcore is cheap and long. If you want an amazing ball try Piper Black
