Since the start of November, so it now functions as a round-a-bout (1 Lane).

yep hopefully will get better once the slip road from the eastbound lane comes up to the roundabout rather than having to do the loop under the bridge

@@JonathanTracey That opens on Monday 25th I believe. Its the westbound slips that are causing more problems, and they aren't going to be open until the end of January.

If the scheme isn't finished its likely that the drainage isn't fully functional so localised flooding is possible.

hopefully they have thought all this through, you would think someone must have given it at least 2 mins :-)

I guess that the joining slip roads are steep downwards at the beginning to make it easier for vehicles to accelerate rapidly at the start of their journey down the slip road. They therefore reach the main carriageway speed earlier in their joining journey and have more time and distance at carriageway speed to negotiate their joining the moving traffic. The leaving slip roads slope gently where traffic leaves main carriageway so that drivers can concentrate on leaving the moving traffic, not on slowing down. Once off the main carriageway, the steep upward gradient traffic then encounters slows vehicles down for the roundabout junction ahead.
