thank you so much I just bought one for Walmart and I thought I was pretty savvy with a technical stuff I'm looking like wow they're two wires everywhere I look they talk about just putting one wire together I'm like Scott just put the wires together I'm like Scott no you don't want your car to blow up then I came upon this video nice up close straight to the point thank you so much
Thank you for your time watching and commenting. If it helped your welcome, i took mine out an put it in my wifes suv and put a 2k watt system under my rear seat.
Thanks for the very simple and informative video. I bought some connectors at my local Walmart but couldn’t find any connectors big enough for the hot and ground wires. Where did you purchase the connectors?
After i took the speaker out of the truck (replaced it with better sound) & putting it in my wife's suv she started having the same issue, i found it was the ground wire that kept popping the fuse, relocated the ground no more issues, thank you for your time watching & commenting, let me know if thats your issue or how you fixed yours
The fuse stays in the built-in amp also with a amp wire kit the power wire has a inline fuse, now if you are making your own wire yes, for the safety of your car or trucks ecm/ecu you will have to put in a in-line fuse.
I wouldn't recommend that cause the speaker already has its own switch board inside which runs the built in 300w amp which could possibly burn it up, but its yours so.
Honestly its ok for a budget style speaker in a truck or suv, now for a trunk of a car i don't think it would be cause you would have to have it LOUD to even hear any difference, 6months after putting it in my truck i took it out for a big system & put it in my wifes suv, now it just sits in my garage un-used until i find something to do with it.
@@Scatpack23 yeah, after awhile i got sick of it, got two 12" 2000 watt speakers under my back seat now, people thinks it cause its a daily/work truck that ive been doing up
i have an aftermarket radio and it have a small scoche amp behind the screen and it’s considered an amp, how would i connect the remote turn on wire? just through that amp?
Sorry just seeing this hope you figured it out, that's just a amp for the radio to help amplify the sound not like the other type of amps, also the speaker has its own built in amp, but if it doesn't have a extra wire for the RTO, look up the specs of your radio to find which one is the RTO. thanks for watching & commenting
Yes it should be fine, its just a thicker gauge wire set & later if you wanted to go for bigger watt system you'd already be set up for it, thanks for watching
What do I do with the sub wire on the back of the DVD player? I have the RCAs hooked up, and still have the single RCA wire for sub just hanging there lol
Yeah its ok for what it is, after a month or so i took it out and put it in my wife's suv, now got a bigger system in it with a full box under the back seat will be making a video on it soon, thanks for watching.

if your radio is like mine on the back of the radio you have sub rca hook-ups, rca's for the back up camera and rca's to hook up more monitors and cameras thanks for watching and commenting
I just picked up one of these, the only thing I'm unsure of is what size power wire to run. The box says to use 12 gauge or larger, I was going to do 10 but I haven't found a 10awg in line fuse, I can get a 12 or an 8awg inline fuse but I don't see the advantage of using such a large wire when I cant change the harness that uses two 20awg wires, which when ran together is no larger than 16 gauge. That and I don't know what size fuse to use.
Can I tap into the rear speakers in a 04 silverado single cab truck I have a jensen CDR5620 and just bought this car dual TBX10A just for a little bass I don't really want to rattle things just some good bass
You taking about hooking the rear speakers to this bass speaker. If its that i would say you could if you took the bass speaker out an ran some new wires up to them, but you would have to un-hook the factory wires from the speakers where they run only from the bass speaker, but then your breaking that 300 watts down to power 3 instead of just one, this speaker is now in my wifes suv, needed more power after all.
@@DADDYGVILLESWORLD welp the reason why I wanted to do that is because I didn't want to take half of the inside of the truck apart just to put a 10" sub with a built in amp lol 😂
@@johngray2526 understandable my 85 ranger standard cab i put buck seats in with home made box with 2 8" behind the seats & a 15" in the middle but it was the 90's an i was a teenager
