Nice one, my neck of the woods. That's Mirfield in West Yorkshire, going up Granny lane towards Huddersfield and yes it is tight.. Nice pub at the top excellent food.
new cameras are 10x better now mate a lot better quality wise. Next recommendation would probably be a wireless mic of some form just for some clearer audio just at some points it gets difficult to hear you. but overall brilliant video mate keep it up!
My husband and I where team drivers here in America. I'm retired now but did enjoy your trip to Italy with as a team. That's the way to go.Keep on trucking
Thanks so much for this video Dave! Great lessons of Patience and professionalism. I'm just about to start my HGV licence in Germany, these types of videos are definitely what I need. The part you were just saying "there's no point in getting angry or annoyed" and continuing to do your job at a high standard was great to see and I'll definitely be keeping that tip.
i have watched a few of your vids now, so time to subscribe. i live in HUDDERSFIELD 30 seconds from J23A if ever you are unsure or in a jam around here give me a shout, al escort you to ANY destination in HUDDS. and that place in MIRFIELD is a nightmare HAHA so keep them vids coming
Brilliant video again. Bad language is called for at times but you clearly show how much of a courteous, cautious driver you are and show a lot of respect for other road users
I am 78 years old and still drive my artic. Originally I drove a Daf 2800 on the roads that Dave now videos 30 years ago. Dave you are having a holiday on your trips I can assure you. JH.
I used to deliver to a big engineering firm it was in the asshole of nowhere up single track roads the first time delivering to it I was crapping myself you have to phone ahead to make sure there's no trucks coming from it i was recently in the area with family I said wait to see where I had to deliver the steel too they wouldn't believe that was the road you have to use it is amazing where they build some factories they really don't think about deliveries or collections
Hi David bit of old school trucking there very courteous and thinking of other road users while maintains yours and the trucks safety , keep Vlogs coming as they are great to watch .
I dont drive trucks but i do drive coaches... worst gigs are jobs down them roads..... wedding party to a hotel in the middle of nowhere returning in pitch black.... if i do make a mess of things i have 60 drunks onboard taking the piss!!
Agency work a while back included regular drops in mirfield and Hudds area so yep it's good fun !. One drop in Milnsbridge caught a lot out as you have to know the local truck way in as tom tom is desperate to take you under an arched bridge on a 90 degree turn as the main route. Thanks for the upload.
I was thinking about the cars mounting the pavement for you. I would be happy to do that in my cars with "normal" tyres. But many modern cars have ultra low profile tyres, and they would cause expensive damage to wheels and tyres if they did it. I am not a fan of low profile tyres.
My box truck is 3.85 high and some spots delivering to regular citizens is the roads to their homes can be very tight with low hanging branches and if i drive the FM cab they are 4.25 can get fun :)
Ive said it before and Ill say it again, you ooze respect. To your customers, your load, other motorists and your truck - if only some other drivers were as courteous, the roads would be a nicer place x
Keep up the great work. I think people who complain about lorry drivers often forget that everything they buy comes in the back of a lorry, Thank you for the great insights into what actually happens out there on the road.
another great vlog, just wait until you have to deliver to some remote farm with a load of fertiliser or seed corn then you will have some really narrow lanes and poor access🤣
Well manouvered Dave! 🤣 Huddersfield can be hard enough for most people in cars and vans 🤣 enjoying the videos pal....keep up the graft 👍🏻😁 drive safe pal! Your in yorkshire.....bad language comes as standard! No apologies needed 😂😂
You hav the Patience of a saint. My only advice is, If your bloggs are too be based on professionalism i strongly advice wearing a seat belt it may also save you money and points. Still love watching your Bloggs from Australia
Great patience and professionalism Dave, sweeper was a wanker would expect better! Being a driver myself up and down the M62 everyday, West Yorkshire I find is horrible for artics, Bradford, Halifax etc 😂, keep up the vids pal
Well done , i delivered to a place left at the x-road before the low bridge at the beginning of the Video ,I know what you mean coming down the road you went up . 😰
Hi That was a bit tight in places to say the least. I previously held a LGV licence and I appreciate the issues with other inconsiderate road users especially the numpty who bashed t=your mirror. Just a thought may be an idea to carry a replacement glass. Regards Crawford
Mate I live where them two massive masts are and use that road often, our lass works in Mirfield in John Cotton a bit further where you’ve dropped off so I know exactly how horrendous those roads are in a car but in a wagon I can only imagine how many swear words there was when you were driving to them 😂😂. I’m shocked it was the sweeper and not Thomas Crompton that hit you… them lads don’t care and just do full speed limit or even more there, nearly had a crash with one as he was bombing down on the bit after Blacksmiths Arms towards the mast and had to run i to the grass to avoid getting rammed by the FMX lol.
what’s the story behind the pakistani cricket top? really interested as being a pakistani myself. i’m really enjoying watching your videos and i’m looking to get in to trucking myself.
Just watched the video Dave very impressed with your driving and especially your patience ,that Road sweeper was just a prick wasn’t he ,I’m watching you from the very start and I was just wondering is there any chance of a shoutout in one of your videos I’m Anto from Drogheda in Ireland continue the good work Dave
Love you're truck looks really smart but just have a guest ion why do all you European hauliers all ways use 4x2 tractor units and not 6x2etc I drive a truck but don't know anything about European haulage 👍
The problem with the road sweeper lorry is he was left hand drive and possibly the man driving it hasn't been driving it long you know how much difference is judging the lorry unlucky for you
Dont force a car to mount tne curb on your behalf if they don't move tou need to stop. I wouldnt throw my alloys on the curb thay fast. Give them time to react.
It's not as if they can't see a 4 metre high vehicle coming towards them with plenty of time to move over. If they can't compute that it needs more space and get on the kerb earlier to avoid damaging their precious Alloys, then that's their own fault. If there isn't space to go through they have to go up the kerb or no one goes anywhere.
