** please watch my other video on how to remove the side fairings
Thanks for watching!!

I just took off half of my fairing to change the battery, and nothing is as simple as you think it is going to be, after putting the fairing back on. when I tried to install the final black piece on top. the screw near the ignition key would not line up with the nut. so I took the piece back off and tried the screw on its own. and it wasn't screwing in. it was like the nut was off center, and then I pushed the screw and I heard a metal part fall and bounce a few times and fall to the bottom of my fairing. and it was a little nut that goes inside of a rubber mount. and it was impossible to get it back in again. I tried to take off the black plastic around the ignition key to make it easier. but one of the screws was in so tight. that I felt like I was going to strip it if I tried to turn it any harder. so I gave up. I didn't want to strip out the head. so I had to do a make shift job by putting tape on the screw to hold it into the rubber hole. it seems like anytime you take something apart there has to be one tiny thing that gives you a big problem. and the job you just did in this video looks like its five times harder then what I just did. and it also involves taking off the rubber around the ignition which I just couldn't do. but you keep saying how simple it is. I am very handy and can do many things myself. but I would not look forward to doing this job myself. I would feel better about it if I had my own garage and could take my time. but even so It does not look like an enjoyable adventure.

@braedonpryor Your videos are so helpful. Did you have to disconnect anything to lift the fuel tank? Or was it simply a case of you lifting on side and holding so your friend could change the filter. I ask because there is a video about the monster tank removal and all lines and connectors had to be removed.
@ThePrybra07
@ThePrybra07 3 года назад
No there's enough slack that you can twist the tank around and get in there.

@@ThePrybra07 Thanks. I did it all yesterday. Fairings and tank. Really helpful to have that second pair of hands to hold the tank to the side. Great advice. Only frustration is my fuel tank doesn’t seem to sit quite straight (nothing caught). As a suggestion a video about the accessory switched wire on rhs poking through trellis frame would be good. I don’t think many people have any idea about this. It’s a 12v switched supply with a connector and pigtail to splice and connect a product like the Optimate USB 0-100 or 0-108 12v to 5v converter allowing sat nav and/or phone charging.

Hello Really great video.thanks I ride ducati supersport s. Do you have service manual for the bike which you refer to?? Thanks
@ThePrybra07
@ThePrybra07 4 года назад
Thanks unfortunately there are no shop manuals that are available to the public. Ducati likes to keep them locked up tight so we have to pay high dealership fees. I use this online parts manual to figure out how to take things apart. issuu.com/desmoworks/docs/supersport_s_en_us_my17?e=1887458/48444501

Do you have a video of the Oxford heated grips install and if not can you tell me if you came off the battery on the left side or a spare fuse on the right
@ThePrybra07
@ThePrybra07 2 года назад
I didn't make a video I did come off the battery. The oxford has a controller that will shut them off if the battery is too low. I know there is that terminal on the right side but I didn't want to bother with it. On the throttle grip after I took off the factory grip there were these Plastic ribs that I had to file down to get the oxford grip on. It wasn't a huge pain but just fyi

No such thing they are all online. If you go on ams ducati they have parts manuals. It's not a service manual but it helps understand how parts come apart.

@@ThePrybra07 thanks for the reply. I did pick up a parts manual and I see they have all the torque specs at least there. When you were referencing torque specs in your other video my mind immediately went to wsm. Thanks for the videos!
