rodrigo mariscal well first off the stock muffler that comes on a motorcycle is designed specifically to ensure the complete and proper operation of the engine. So when an exhaust pipe is changed, this causes an unbalanced air-to-fuel ratio, meaning the airflow into the motorcycle is increased because of the difference in pipe design and other specifics. This difference can cause backfire in the exhaust. However, popping on deceleration is due to unburnt fuel being ignited in the exhaust, you can reduce it on these bikes with use of high quality fuel, and use the baffle that comes with the system. I personally don’t mind the pops with the baffle in. Without it, the bike sounds extremely rough. Just my thoughts

I followed every step. do you install no your bike any fuel tunning? i just did all that you do and the bike don’t sound like yours. So greatful that you help me with this.

rodrigo mariscal thanks for the compliments. My bike does not have any aftermarket tuning done to it. My bike does backfire on deceleration. But if yours is running rough after this install, you may have to get some tuning done to your fuel system. Without hearing your bike, it’s hard to know what the issue is, but someone at the Ducati dealership near you can help you tune it to that specific exhaust if you want it to run smoother. Hope this helps!

Did not dyno before and after but definitely felt a little snappier on acceleration afterwards.

Drill the tag off. All the "Competition Werkes" tag does is let the cops know you have a modified exhaust.

No remap needed and engine light stays off. The slip on is after the O2 sensors, so running rich isn’t a problem either.

Dominic Ferreira at Idle it is tough to tell the difference in this video. However at speed and in deceleration you will find that without the baffle this system is obnoxiously loud. I love loud exhaust, but it’s on a whole different level without that baffle in.

Dominic Ferreira it is great for daily driving in the city and not too overwhelming for highway driving. “Loud pipes save lives..”

Itsraz you need to twist the wire with your hands in the opposite direction that you screw it in. That way it can’t kink up and instead it will just unravel itself as you tighten it in.

fifteCaliber yea that’s what I did... I just wanted to make sure you didn’t remove the gas tank and access the o2 sensor that way. Did your check engine light come on? I just finished the install and my engine light is on

Itsraz no I did not get a check engine light at all. Your issue could also be with the servo plate that tricks the system for your exhaust valves. Was that installed correctly?

fifteCaliber I thought I did but I guess I’ll take a look at it today. It could also be the o2 wire got stripped and one of the wires ripped as I was putting it on because the wire casing stripped off when I was taking it off. If I fix the servo will the light go off? Thanks for all your help btw

fifteCaliber also did you spin the servo motor a lot before you took off the bolt? The motor spun a few times as I was trying to remove the servo bolt

I believe it's supposed to trick the sensor so that the internal butterfly valve stays open.

Sure looks better. I think I'll go with the gold color can myself and drill off the tag so it looks stock. Question.... Was the db killer insert included? I'll get one of not but if it's part of the deal it would be nice.

What Valve are you referring to? The Baffle?

The valve on the original exhaust

To my knowledge the Valve Is located before the exhaust downpipe. That is why it is necessary to install the Servo Plate so that the valve can be actuated. I am not a professional, so I could be wrong, but either way the exhaust sounds great! Hope that helps.

@@fifteCaliber yes 21 ducati supersport. Gonna send them picture n they will prob switch it out. Hopefully doesn’t take them long to replace it

@@fifteCaliberpdate had to send it back. They widened one of the pipes. It was still a b to get on tho. Had to hit it with a rubber mallet. It’s such a bad fit. Still tryna line it up right but pipe is so tight can’t get any wiggle room

@@fifteCaliberhey I’m sending the pipe back n getting a refund. It just doesn’t fit. All pipes from head to clamps are all lose n canister is rubbing Tire. No matter what I do there’s no wiggle room to get canister to stop rubbing on tire. It still has a whole inch to go in but because it’s hitting tire it won’t go.

@@ll.7927 sorry to hear that, maybe there’s a different variation of the pipe on your bike. At least you gave it all you could! Time to find a new kit to use. Good luck!
