exactly ,,,,maybe worthwhile if buying used to find one someone else shelled all the coin out for lol. What I dont like about any aftermarket can systems is the glass packs that make em sound better come with the never talked of maintence issue most stock exhausts are not cursed with which is the fiberglass packs only last 5k miles or whatever before getting too blown out affecting tuning and noise....Is it REALLY worth a slight power bump? I think not ...I think it is 95% ego "look at ME I have AKRO I am so SO smart and special" or whatever Meanwhile some crazy old dude on a heavy touring bike blows your doors off in the twisties
Thanks for taking the time to make a video on this, i just picked up a 2019, it's the best bike i have ever ridden. If you do any more mods please do a video. Do they make a power commander for this?
Enjoy your new bike mate. Thanks for the nice comment too. I dont know of any powercommander etc. I would fit the genuine quickshifter if you dont already have it. They are awesome !!
Very interesting vid. Looks & sounds awesome but surprised the gains weren't significantly more on paper tbh but I appreciate it may feel a lot better on the road. Also a shame for me at least that the exhausts, as nice as they are, do away with the pillion pegs.
@@turbobike749 Cool. Looking forward to it & will definitely tune in. Very interested in this bike but trying to work out if the S is worth the extra money or to go for the standard & add some nice bits like exhausts for about the same money in the end as the S costs.
Apparently the standard version feels better on the road for the average rider than the more stiffer feeling S model. The quickshifter is a must have item 👍🏼👍🏼
@@turbobike749 Cheers, that's really helpful info. I'm no Rossi so I'm sure the standard would be more than adequate for my average ability. Will also bear the QS in mind.
ducati is a slow bike. 950cc supersport supposed to be a literbike category around 200ps. and the price of this are far more expensive than japanese liter bike that have 200+ps.
@@ancogbernard You're missing the entire point of this bike. It's a sports tourer that's more leaning towards the sporty side. It's not a full blown supersport like the name suggests.
Rich mans bike-- I have yet to see a review of ownership with 30k Mies etc,, I must admit that Bike is AWESOME LOOKING sounds great .. when I win The lottery I will Have one
Here's one . I've done approx 19000 miles on mine . ( 2017 model) Apart from oil and filters and tyres . It's had 1 chain . 1 battery ( in 7 years !) Always on an optimate. Been to Germany / Switzerland / Belgium/ Holland on it from UK . Never missed a beat . Its got a fitting for Sat nav under front of tank . USB under seat . Connection for charger under seat . Handles well and goes well . Forget the BHP . It's got a great power to weight ratio . You don't need brute power ..The screen also rises for motorway use . It also has 4 hoops underneath seat which you can expose and attach luggage to. As for price , well that's down to perception.Mine cost £12000 7 years ago , they are about 14000k now.($17000) Don't confuse them with V4s and Panigales which are very much more expensive . Negatives ....tank range not brilliant ..Seat not too comfy ...probably does suit a person of wide girth and tall height. All in all , an excellent thing . I won't be parting with it in a hurry
I have this bike, and without the baffles, full system it sounds sweet. Who cares if you are only making around 110hp, its all usuable on the street. upload a vid with out baffles with the mic a tad closer than on this one.
Cheers for the comment mate.I have since also fitted another system without the baffles. Sounds incredible !! I will see if I can get it back in for a rev up and also see if any power difference.
@@whitealiens Ducati's quoted power is crank HP not wheel HP, so the bike is actually very healthy, making more than 110hp at the crank if it is making 108 at the rear wheel! The Dyno is measuring power at the wheel.
Maybe the best thing about this weight savings? Maybe less heat pouring out? I mean the bike is pretty much a hog considering it is a high end Italian Sport Bike I would think more in the sub 420llb range all gassed up but no and the worst thing about all this ia the bike is still a dog compared to what else is avaiable. Yes a comfy dog and that is what it has going for it more than anything I suppose...arguably more economical bit seriously? If springing for Italian Job who is scrimping anyway?
Wow that sucks just 3hp. That is the last Straw that broke the camel's back. No joke i was going to Sign the paperwork today at the dealer for my 2019 ducati supersport and buy the Exhaust kit and have it installed at the dealer for 17k but now, Got back my deposit and just got my 100% new old stock 2018 Hayabusa for 12k out the door price. I love the ducati look and Race reputation but just to Many Headaches with Ducati. On the street, very bad reviews and stories of reliability problems on RU-vid, just not worth the Stress and price and lack of performance with ducati I see ducati owner always have to Wait for parts and service and warranty issues. Japanese bike have none of that! Sorry guys. I Rather be riding then waiting on the side of the road LOL. MAYBE THE ITALIAN WILL GET THERE S*#T TOGETHER IN ANOTHER LIFE TIME. LIKED THE JAPANESE
@@chriscunha3246 maybe you right guy. but it runs, not like ducati ss The reality is it works it's reliable I abuse the hell out of it and it still faster and I still get the babes so it doesn't matter if a guy like the look. Lol
@@turbobike749 thanks very much I have been riding it as much as possible Since I got it on March 13 no joke but still managed to get 9k most on the road and little track time in 5 Months, Considering that I just can't get my driver license or even my plates lol from DMV over cov19 problem but ride the hell out of it. I hope you and channel do great and be safe. Ducati is still my dream bike since 90s. No doubt ducati is a great racing bike and I love it Heritage. And I will Own one for the track some time this year. Well thanks again for your kind words. Sorry if I Came out dogging ducati just went through too much hassle over dealership and on top of all that my friends Nightmare stories Reliability issues ducati have. it just gave me a badd taste. Thanks again for your response
Crap load of money and hassle for slight power gain one will totally take for granted immediately following....seriously why bother. It's a heartache if you ask me trying so hard to improve everyday bikes ....been there done it too many times ...would have to be SERIOUS improvement for me to drool over anything....MEH And that opinion without even taking into account having to repack the can every few thousand miles! AND the extra NOISE even when the packing is fresh ....it is just dumb IMHO I mean this is NOT a trackbike so an extra few percent power wont buy ANYTHING save vanity perhaps
