@TheStraightestWhitest honestly I think we got had. I think they were having money problems which explains them selling the company and I think they were not doing the walking dead event. I think the show walking dead was Giving them money to advertise walking dead because they wanted more marketing for the new series dead city and techland played it off like it was a walking dead event and they didn't do anything dead city related because they wanted us to think it was a walking dead event. That's my theory why it was absolute bare minimum walking dead content.

I'd like to mention that the darker nights need some fixing, especially when you enter the destroyed sections of the map. It turns into a red color, and it's really hard to see.

We need some adjustments: -Ragdolls still need improvement, Volatiles have a scripted animation and stand in a void when jumps on edges -Zombies sometimes fall straight and it's not natural -Weather and more natural Day/Night cycle -Damage impact on water/windows like DL1

Another thing that I personally dislike about the more recent updates is the viral spawning, sometimes I’ll be doing parkour and I’ll accidentally dropkick the air (I play on PlayStation and have the pro grappling hook mode on, which involves using the same button as the dropkick button), and dropkicking the air apparently makes a loud enough noise to warrant virals, also weapon hits, it’s probably louder than kicking the air but it’s very annoying to be fighting renegades or other infected and having 3 virals spawn the moment I make contact with my weapon. If they made it like dl1 and made it so if you land on loud surfaces it like metal or a car or something that would make sense, rather than making one of the main features of the game other than parkour annoying, especially with the virals grab attack, it just puts an annoying pause in combat, and I have videoclips of other enemies triggering this in the newer update, it frustrates me and I find myself rolling my eyes any time I see the red symbol that indicates a loud noise (kicking the air)

Phenomenal editing. Honestly since the Penguin news I have this feeling of impending dread for Dying Light 2. That somewhere in the 5 year after launch support for it we'll see monthly bundles of cosmetic add ons and more underperforming weapons at like $10 a bundle. After awhile of that I think it'll drive away a majority of players, leaving only the hardcore fans left and unless we get something really enjoyable to play we'll see a chunk of even the most hardcore Dying Light players leave. Because even though we may love the game. Just how many times does it take being disappointed before the most loyal Dying Light players say "I'm done"?

I came back like to this game like 3 days before tencent bought techland because i heard the game improved and it was. As soon as i heard they did buy techland i left again instantly. Im so use to this stuff im not even mad i just deleted the game and said oh well... goodbye goodnight dying light.

@@zinoneus3733dying light 2* 😅 the first dying light makes this sequel look really bad and that’s the issue, when your first game outshines the second, you’re gonna lose a ton of respect and fans. Personally I’ve watched and beaten the first one myself and it’s one of my favorite games now that I’ve played, I got the ps5 and tried the second one, got bored in like two days 😂. Dying light 2 just sucks and I wish it didn’t.

(its probably gonna die in tencents hands if i had to guess or be so badly damaged its gonna practically be dead and no third game). Ive beat the first game like 5 times + the following DLC with different friends. The second i only beat once. The first is definitely better than the second i do agree full-heartedly, loved its gameplay. However i dont see the brightest of future for the franchise. Im letting it go now before i see it burn all the way to the ground, if it does ill be gone. Sad to see this happen but oh well. Everything comes to a end. I bet something else will make our "Dying light 3" and what potential people saw in the second come real in this different third game. At least i can hope for that to happen

Id love to see a zombie game where you can create weapons from scratch but i understand why its not like that (some poor person is gonna have to model everything that can be ducktaped together and what not. That itself would be ridiculous, but cool.) Id like to see something new however sadly i think its mostly all used up. Then again i never gave that much thought. Dying light 2 has such a crazy amount of potential, they're slowly making it better and better but I really hope it's not too late to deliver these updates, we all want this game to be as great as it can be and it seems they're very aware of this; I was so stiff for The Walking Dead update and was also very upset to realise that the weapons are dooky/not really viable compared to your current arsenal, fingers crossed, I really do believe in Techland and I do think one day this game has a chance to be Dying Lights 1 younger brother, because lets be real, Dying Light 1 will always be goat; great video Oni, you're the man; you are a pillar in the community.

I haven't played it much but one thing I noticed that I didn't like was, the dark shadow area of the map, the shadows of the map look too too dark, it be as clear as day the sun be out but shadows area still be pitch black dark & it look way off, I like the night cycle but the high light from the moon that hits the ground is jus a lil too dark, the moon light reflection doesn't look natural..but overall I still enjoy the game, I jus want everything to be perfect lol

It was great not being able to play the event since I’m away for 3 weeks! Wait, what’s this? TWD bundle doesn’t have the collectibles or the Sheriff hat? So I will never be able to get these event items ever again? You’re telling me that the bundle offers so little in comparison to Bloody Ties which was only 10 dollars? I’ll have so much fun launching my game only to be reminded *every fucking time I open my inventory* that I’m missing the 7 comic book collectibles! The completionist in me has game ended himself.

I realized recently that if you try going out at night without the shield boosters you will likely have a much more difficult time fighting zombies, especially volatiles. The amount of spitters all around and how much damage they do to your health is crazy and makes it that much more tough. I'd argue we don't even need 'nightmare' mode at all, just nerf the shield booster we're all relying on when we say 'it's too easy'.

My problem with all these updates are that on the surface they might be good like the gngl update but these are still not solving the core problems I mean turning off health bar might be nice but it doesn’t change the fact that enemies especially zombies still have health which u have to bring down those game design are still things I have an issue with

I agree that the event should have been 2 weeks and they could have made the challenges unlock daily still throughout the first week but u have until the end of the event to finish them. I also agree that there should have been a repeatable mission tied go the event n it could have even been something simple where u go to a location n hear a radio call from a man(Rick) trapped in a tank in the city so u have to go to like 3 or 4 military convoy locations n at the final convoy when u search the tank u find something Rick left behind whether that be a note or something other collectable.

Would have been better if dailies unlocked after each day and stayed for the duration of the event, as a person who worked a 9-5 with extra work after, it was incredibly difficult to even come close to the completing the daily challenges (barely completed the weekly in time)

The second day trap event is what did it for my friends. They started a new game not too long ago deciding to go survivors since we went pk before, and since it was a new game they didn’t have access to the grab grappling hook like me. I did my challenge solo as a legend 50 with pk traps and all and to get those 120 env kills it took me easily 40 mins, I can’t imagine how long it would take to shove 120 zombies into spike traps as a new guy. It was by far the worse challenge they could have ever done for newbies and they need to know about it.

They could have atleast made a mission or an area that looks like it's from the show and given us objectives to complete that take place in the show. On top of that if you want all of the items you have to buy th bundle, so I did and skipped the lackluster "event".

I dont know if anyone else is having this issue too but im noticing a lot of bugs. When i first get on the game parts of the map take forever to load and NPCs freeze during combat and audio in the story will cut out or not make any sound. The game will freeze when i fast travel or just look at the map in the menu. I just bought the game like 2 weeks ago and purposely waited a long time to buy the game and yet it feels like i got a pre-released version.

I feel events need to make things more themed around the thing the event is about, like comic book sound effects appearing in game would be cool or change the way certain things look, like enemies. And about the whole tencent thing, I'm worried but also hopeful, if it goes well, then techland will get more funding and the game will be improved.

On mine spike kills don't count for anything, so that environmental kills one could have been 10 mins, but turned into a 3 hr grind just using propane tanks. After a few days I just gave up on the event because I was too tired to play, just for some bs grinds and trivial rewards.

I understand the cosmetics anxiety but yeah there were a couple neat crossover cosmetic items in DL1 too. In that game I always make a junk smg from the Rust weapon pack which has an outfit too, as a way of getting a gun way too early lmao, so aside from the rebalancing I'm a little less inclined to doompost about it. Ideally, fingers crossed, these issues will be worked out and it'll be like DL1 but like we'll have a lot more of them. I kinda dig ur channel atm man, nice place to stay updated with the content-release and improvement cycle.

That was my idea for the payday event was a bank heist the bank is run by the pks and it would be like prison runs from dl1 where the better time you get the better rewards you get

I didn’t think about that until you mentioned it, life does happen and when it does you can’t play. I’m not giving up yet on DL2, they can make it as good or even better than DL1(in fact, some aspects are already better than DL1). They had great events in DL1, along with affordable DLC skins or weapon bundles. It isn’t over yet!! Let’s keep rooting for Techland to support the community!! Ps:It would be great if they brought back the vulcan bundle dlc. I love that glowing sword ⚔️

I thought my charm daily bounty was buggged and i couldn't get it. Found out from you that it isnt. Literally missed 1 daily and now i dont have it. They should have extended it.

There WAS a way to complete a missed day, just set your system date to that day and then open the game. I know this, because I read it on the internet, and then did it as I was 2000 miles away from my PS4 for the first 3 days.

Underwhelming event and the whole showing knife animations in the trailer but they're actually not in the game is absurd, they charge you the same price for an incomplete product only to actually release the missing stuff for what you paid at a later date? that sounds scummy to me

yes i agree. i had missed the first 2 days so i only did the challenge for lucille, so i didnt end up doing the 7 day challenges. no charm😥

I have no idea why but speaking about bundles and content reminded me about the reinforcements content drop in dying light which added soldiers and evolved goon to old town. I loved them since i loved fighting humans and it felt satisfying whenever i heard the gun guys open fire at me (which in base game if i remember right only happens in missions) and it just gave bit of extra tension and stuff to do. In the end if i would compare the trailer and what we got with the soldiers, it was bit disappointing but also free so no complaints and the joy i felt when they added the prison heist and used them in that instead of forgetting that they existed. Really my only complaint about the content drops was the factor that the soundtracks from trailers (atleast reinforcements one) cannot be found in the soundtrack album nor in youtube. I hope that we get these type content drops in dl2 eventually since they were fun way for developers to add new stuff to the game without them being paid dlcs or limited time events.

The new way to play a game is to wait till updates and DLC are done, you get the all-in-one version, and modders have dialed everything in. So like 7 years after release. Lol.

Two things I desperately want added to this game: 1- Actual physics, because the "physics" in this game are shit. It's unsatisfying and immersion breaking with how bad they are. They need to fix it and make it more like Dying Light 1. 2- Make human enemies drop weapons, idk why tf this isn't in the game already

I made a new game just to start fresh with the update and was going very well however With the way the volatiles are now its pretty much impossible for me to get past certain points in the story quest so i just went back to my maxed out game that ive completed everything in already. Kinda boring.

I hate these developers that just release the game they’ve been working on for years in a broken state, and only start changing things when the players complain. We shouldn’t have to do their jobs for them. The games should release FINISHED.

I did the whole week but on wensday I must've completed a random bounty for 50 ranged headshots instead of the events 150 ranged headshots. Was under the complete assumption that I did it 100% all week just to find out on Friday that I completed a huntress bounty instead. My disappointment was immeasurable and my day is still ruined.

I was on a week vacation the exact same time TWD challenge was happening. I only managed to do the first 2 days :( I really wanted to do them because I wanted the comic book covers because I do think they are cool! I tried to have my friend log into my Epic account to do it for me but they couldn’t get in for some reason 😭 it made me a little sad. But I also didn’t care too much about the challenges as I was seeing how tedious they are so I just slowly didn’t bother to try to log on anymore during my vacation and now that I’m home I can still kinda care less. I want the comic covers still, but the charm? Eh. I don’t care

It took me realizing how i felt about this event to understand that i too had FOMO. But it is as you said, life happens. I love this game with a burning passion. But i will not spend my life working toward needlessly difficult goals in a video game. I play to relax and enjoy putting time into the game yet lately i have felt as if the devs are asking for too much faith from us. I understand and respect them so much for the strides they have taken in delivering a great game, but i feel as if they are losing sight of what made them so loved in the first place. This move with Tencent has me so incredibly worried i cant express it into words. I honestly feel that Techland can do truly incredible things with their OWN devices. That being said, i hope this works and doesnt add them to the list of disdain.

I honestly didn’t mind the daily challenges but at the time of me doing them I honestly thought you could go back and do the ones you missed so I missed one day because of irl stuff and couldn’t get the charm no more so I gave up on doing the daily’s. Honestly they should’ve made the charm the community goal and the hat the daily (imo)
