Want to learn how to tune Holley EFI? Online Training: www.tunethetrilogy.com/ T shits and stuff!: joesimpson.creator-spring.com/ Holley EFI Tuning for Beginners Public Facebook Group: / holleyefituningforbegi...
Been watching your stuff forever, learned a lot thru you. Thanks! It would be pretty nice for us self tuned on the street guys to see plug reads thru the process of adding ignition. Seeing where it is on the strap vs advance and how much hp it picks up from those changes. Thanks again man, you’ve really helped me out over the course of my build
I used to have that innovate boost controller, couldn't stand it! Holley dual Mac valves the way to go 1000%. Wonder why he has terminator and didn't use holley boost control?
Nice run, definately had to work for it.... probably would be a good idea from now on to ask your clients to bring their car with a FULL tank of gas, or charge them accordingly if you have to put gas in due to lack thereof.
Whatvi have learned is that people seem to put their car together, with no testing and send it to the tuner. I dont expect them to drive around or make a bunch of power but at least have the basics done, no leaks(including boost)new plugs, everything connected, no loose wires, check fuel pumps, co2 bottles and couple cans of fuel.
I put a 72/68 on my 5.3 winter beater and it makes boost before I can get the pedal to the floor. Joe no doubt knows this but one 'trick' with a single solenoid boost PWM controller is to add a 2nd solenoid to the top port of the gate (swap inlet & vent ports). I get 10psi with far less than 80% on a 4psi spring.
Very Cool. I have a 10.5:1 550hp BBC 427 with a carb but I want to switch to EFI. Should I do the Sniper 2 with the hyperspark w/ Tank or the Terminator stealth master kit? Sniper seems like a complete solution but the Terminator system seems to be your preference from a couple videos I watched. I'm not a drag racer, weekend autocross fun once a year and the rest cruising.
Something is restricting the hell out of the air flow either on the intake or exhaust side. Early in the RPM range the TQ is rising very fast, then stops cold and the HP just never seems to rise. It's being choked. Also, the cam is probably way to conservative and it's installed advanced. Dialing in the cam would help a little.
I've noticed when I start a turbo tune and back the timing off to 8 or 9 degrees in an effort to be safe, I see a bunch of extra boost than expected. I then chase my tail trying to figure out the overboosting issue...then I add timing back in after fueling is fully tuned and guess what, less boost lol.
I have a question about the terminator x max I’m doing a 99 5.3 LS swap into a 99 s10 I’m running a turbo 400 trans but would like the option to later change to a 4l80 or a 4l60 can I use the terminator max and just not use trans control also my motor is drive by cable
I have a 5.3l th400 in my rcsb 2002 gmc I'm thinking of goin 80e with converter for my cam and my 80mm as I street drive 98% the time but when i did race it its good on 60ft but 80e idk what it the 60 would be but cheap trans brake 3d manuel and 2step on 80e throw holley
The lack of boost is kind of odd. I was expecting to see you throw a manual controller on these just to sure the controller wasnt stuffing you about, but as you mentioned this thing has some pretty weird build parts. Does show what an effect an inefficient setup can have on output.
Can't believe you would make shirts and not offer any with the designs from the T3 platform such as the spark plugs with faces and what not. Would be killer
Only so many hours in the day man. Getting there 😂 Always gotta test the waters before dumping 100,000 hours into something. If 3 people buy shirts than there isn’t enough demand to invest the time into making them. If a lot of people buy shirts than we will make 1000 variations
@JoeSimpsonAtTempest I totally get it brother man. Just thought I'd at least toss it out there. Not that I could possibly believe you haven't already thought of it. Love what you do man!
