Great podcast. I felt it was challenging for Jason at times as the guest tends to rant a bit. But I very much enjoyed it. This is the kind episodes I subscribe for. PS: you guys are way overdue for another episode about the current news. Criminally overdue.

The level of 'wilful' cognitive dissonance with Jason and Roger here is not only astounding but actually scary in a very sinister and worrying way. That they both know they are misrepresenting things and at the same time emotionally believe they are telling the truth (or at least emotionally committed to the misrepresentation being believable) is the stuff that true oppression is made of. It’s this kind of wilful self-deceit for the purpose of selling a false hatred proposition that has led to some very dark times in human history. They both know that the ‘Russian’ interference in the US election is both not 'proven' to be Russian (though it's easy to accept that the Russians would do such a thing) and also clearly shown to be negligible in terms of voter influence. They both know that there were just as many bots on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere stirring up hatred towards Trump as for Hillary. Yet they selectively report to create the impression that it was some kind of pro Trump campaign. They both know that Hillary Clinton broke the law with her email servers to such a degree that, were it some pentagon employee, that person would be in prison for decades. So, however the information came to light, it’s always a good thing to learn of the high crimes of one’s elected officials. They both know that there has been shown to be more bots supporting Labour’s Jeremy Corbyn in the UK than supporting Brexit and that people did not vote for Brexit in the UK in the biggest democratic exercise in the country’s history because of a few bots but rather because they exercised their democratic rights. They both know that America invented psy-ops and have been using all means fair and foul to influence elections all over the world and that all major powers do it. They both know this is not uncommon but act shocked by something they both know goes on all the time. They are both participating in and maintaining a false narrative that foreign agents influenced the American presidential election so as to invalidate the expressed will of the people. They both know that Obama actually bragged about not only using Facebook data to win in 2012 but that Facebook took active steps to give the Obama campaign privileged access to user data (Was McNamee involved with that?). They know all these things but they both pretend they don’t because they are both incapable of telling the truth and being honest and objective. All those things they claim to hate about Facebook’s behaviour, they exhibit in this very podcast. It’s called hypocrisy and it is very ugly.
