I had the e46 325i coupe with a m54 engine, for 7 years before swapping to this one. Love the straight six engines. I didn´t get any certificate, but i didn´t need it either. At least not here in Sweden. I haven´t had any problems with the law or anybody else complaining.

#91Maverick yeah man totally in love with these baby's. Actually my heart belongs to the e36 m50 iron engine, those are tanks, it cannot be broken. But nowadays they are too old. Here in Belgium we have emission zones in city's. An e36 engine is placed on an emission 0 list so i cant drive through emission zones. But the e90/e92's are emission 4 so it's not a problem. Unfortunatly i need to keep moving with time against my will and love.. Anyway, the reason i asked for a certificate is because every year we need to bring our car to a test search by the law to get an approval to ride the car, if i change the exhaust they ask a certificate of that exhaust to approve the car (i know its f*cked up). İs there maybe a chance that i can get a certificate through a bmw dealer since it's a bmw performance exhaust? İf not, can i buy this exhaust through a bmw dealer, maybe then they can give a certificate together with it because it has been bought through a bmw dealer?

Yeah, love the raspy metallic sound of the e36 straight six! When it comes to the annual tests that we have to do on the cars, here in Sweden I haven´t had any issues what so ever with them. Nobody has had any issues with it, neither the test center or the cops. If anyone asks, I would tell them that it´s a BMW OEM part. It´s TÜV approved so it should not be a problem.

i have a friend who´s a mechanic and he did it. it was very simple. just mock up the lenght with the new exhaust and than cut the pipe. i guess you could just cut some more of the stock pipe and i´m sure it will look great.

Tackar! Jag håller med, de nya motorerna med turbo dödar ljudet. Rak sexa o det metalliska ljudet fr e46 o e92 är wunderbart! ;) Jag kanske kommer o sälja systemet separat då jag funderar på att byta bil (till en kombi då lillan börjar bli stor). Letar i nuläget efter nåt vettigt.

#91Maverick Jag är seriöst intresserad om du beslutar att sälja det! Köpte nyligen en 325i kombi med m sportpaket i leemansblå som förstabil. Bilen var rolig att köra och tog kurvor som en sportbil men insåg väldigt snabbt att ljudet var långt ifrån vad man kunde önska från en så fin motor. Funderade lite på att göra muffler eller resonator delete, men efter att ha sett denna videon så är skillnaden på ljudet dag o natt. Blev kär direkt! Man inser vilken potential BMW förstörde med att sätta sådana rejäla ljuddämpare på bilen som orginalsystemet har. Väljer man att ta bort dämparen helt och hållet låter det tyvärr lite mycket raggarbil och inte alls lika jämt.

+filip stojanovski ur care is different, maybe this muffler wont fit and it wont sound that great for sure (still awesome but this sound in the vid u can only get with the n52 engine & manual, even the automatic sounds a bit different)

do you mean that the 2.5l engine sounds better than the 3.0 would? or what's the difference? It says it's supposed to fit for e92, e93(n52,n53) so im pretty sure mine should fit?

And if I was to buy it it’ll not come with the warranty, and he said he’ll highly recommend not doing it 🤨

nothing, it fits like a glove as is. the reason they say it´s only for automatic gearboxes is because on a manual it ´s to loud by the EU standards. thats it.

I got the exhaust last week, Does it only crackle on the manual? I love it but i dont know how to get that crackly sound on my automatic.. :(

Not sure how it works on an automatic. For me it starts to crackle as soon as i get of the gas. It doesnt have to be at a high speed either. Try driving at 35-40 km/h and than as you get off the gas, just pump the gas pedal a bit and it should start. Good luck!

This is for 325i, 328i, and 330i (n52 engine): Engine (x6 1.5")---> Headers with catalytic converters(x2 2.25") ---> secondary catalytic converters (x2 2.25")---> resonator (x1 2.75")--->muffler (x2 2.25")

Brilliant, Thanks! As much as I'd enjoy to have a loud exhaust.. my driveway is right in front of my house so I'm hoping I can try get away with a cut out exhaust for the moment.. that or valvetronic

@@j.andrews9669 this one is not that loud that it becomes annoying. I don´t think that you´d have a problem with that.

Annoying wouldnt be the word I would use.. as loud as it can be I dig that but av got kids and I leave work at 4am lol
