It's so important to all of us to realize that every person has a path of recovery that is unique to them. I'm in a larger body, so my therapist knows that weight loss is still something I need for overall health, and at the same time, also knows that I need to not restrict (along with medical restrictions on several macros and micros, etc). And something that seems to be so common among folks with EDs is the need to be 'superior' in dysfunction. This is a really good video. I'm frustrated enough with myself not to worry about what someone else does- and at the same time, if I find that someone annoys or triggers me, depending on the reason, I'll either do the "do not recommend channel" or (in the case of older very obvious pro-ana videos), I'll report them for harmful acts. I'm a long way from my ultimate intake goals (from dietitian and therapist), but the old RN part of me still can see healthy vs unhealthy in others. Malin, you always focus on health. And you're very responsible in the things you post. Your channel is one of very few that is (for me) a 'safe channel'. Thank you. 💜
Thank you so much! I couldn’t have said it better! I completely agree, especially with the fact that there is a need to be superior in dysfunction for a lot of people with EDs. Understanding that we are going through a lot of similar situations, but that everyone is still different is so important! You can’t compare yourself into a healthy you, but you have to understand what works for you! Your words mean so much to me, I really want to create a safe place here ❤
