@@ZH-ls6nb some, at least, of the exhaust can now go directly out of muffler instead of being forced through baffles which doesn't allow the saw to exhaust the exhaust as well. Kinda like asthma for saws. And the hole combined w taking the inside out of the little deflector shield he took off the top of muffler, is the inhaler. Opens up the airways
@@oakeymt.outdoors until the pitbike carb and muffler mod, mine was an unreliable POS out of the box. Now? 3rd pull every time after sitting a while and absolutely screams
@oakeymt.outdoors a complete POS out of the box. Would start 1st pull one day, never start the next day. A few mods later it's as reliable as a 90's Camry and pulls like a Corvette. As long as you're willing to pop a few bucks and a couple hours into one they can be absolutely nuts. Pulls a 36" bar perfectly fine
@@oakeymt.outdoors yeah probably, but almost all of the stuff I cut is dead ash or softwood. I wouldn't dream of trying to pull that bar through locust or oak
Yes dill the hole but make sure you flush out the muffler. I was able to lean mine out maybe a half turn. Yours maybe different. I don't know how your carb is set on your.
Yes I did mod the deflector. I just picked a drill bit out that would kinda match where I was drilling. It's worth doing the mod. Just make sure you clean out the muffler good after drill.
Towards leaner or richer? In other words, does opening up the muffler a bit like you did tends to lean the mix or enrich it? Thanks! @@oakeymt.outdoors
