@benzblogsVlogs Thank all the info... We have the same alarms "ECU data fail" & ECU amber alert alarms being received continuously on our Deep C module." Previouslythe alarm clears after 2-3 attempt, but later on the alarm came followedby shutdown alarm (&gen shutsdown even when on load).. after checkingt the whetherthe wires are ok (no cuts-as u mentionedt) we investigatedthe faultto be an issue with high water temp indicaton. We located the problem & after mechanical troubleshooting we fixed the problem and generator started working "notmal as before" but the ECU amber alert continued to show. The alarm clrars only ig we remove the sender wiring on gen side. BTW, we are operating 1.5MW cummins DG which is quite old & has been left unoperated for more than 2years (but we replaced the ECU which wasn'tbrand new but seems to be in good condition). So I wanted to ask: 1) whether these alerts might be false alerts, & if not how to check & rectify the problem. 2) after fixing the initial problem mechanically, 2 days after the generatorwas on load (500KW) suddenly a loud noise was heard and we could not shutdown the alarm even from the panel or from the EmergencyShutdown button located next to the DG. ONLY after we shut off the fuel valve the engine shutoff after abt 3 mins (while the loud noise continued). So now after we started disassembling we have found that 3 head-units are broken and initial cause was due to a slipped (faulty valve). So what could be the reasons why any alarms such as low pressure alarm not be received & why wouldn't the GenSET shutdown automatically or manually in this case? Would appreciate if you could provide some information regarding problem/incident at ur earliest convenience. Thanks.
In order to solve the problem make sure this electronic engine or pure mechanical now if electronic you need EST TOOLS TO CHECK THE ENGINE WHat can cause the alrm or a problem
Good day Ben, we have DSE 6120 and Perkins Engine. Engine starts and runs, and it stops unexpectedly, sometimes it runs 3 hours, sometimes runs 1 hours with ECU Data fail. We have replaced the ECU cable with a belden cable, between controller and connection box on the alternator. There is still a +-1m cable from the ECM to a connector box on the alternator which I have not replaced. I have also not checked the ECM connection to see if it has a 120 Ohm resistor installed.
@@benzblogsVlogs Hi Ben, I only started doing the services and monthly checkups about 2 years ago. The DSE 6120 was preconfigured. The genset worked fine, until a year ago, when it started with the ECU Data fail. We have a DSE6120 with a DSE Gateway and It is Perkins Engine 2506. I am also wondering if there is an option on the DSE6120 to disable the ECU Data Fail option, so that it doesn't stop the engine when there is a data fail...

Ok lng sir pag ganon sir check mo sir yung config mo sir baka di ng match yung config mo sa ecm type na nilagay mo da module at dapat maglagay ka ng resistor sa ecm or sa module anong module ng volvo EDC bayan or EMS
Hello, first of all thanks for sharing the troubleshooting. Now, I have an issue with DSE8620 that cannot start manually on DSE module or remotely from another panel, I can only start the engine with "ECU override", have you face this issue, and do you have any advice? (Note: the DSE screen is damage or sunburn)
If not cranking or ither starter first do this check your battery voltage its should be 13 or 25vdc that is fully charge thin if the battery is in good condation try yo crank ang put clamp meter how much voltage droop my battery is faulty already
Sir ok lang ba ilagay yung resistor ng ecm sa connector na ng dse para sa ecu.. mahirap kasi ilagay sa may can bus connector.. ano effect nya kung sakali.. salamat
Hi sir how about mtu with deepsee controller i am facing same isssue ecu data fail before the engine was running fine since today its start giving same alarm wiring is ok resistor is ok
Sir just check the wiring if fitted properly and check end wire connection there is posible cut in the midle try also to checkbthe volatge it should be around 1-5 volt vdc playing around or try to to check if colorcoding if same connection to ecu

i have duetz generater with edc3 ecm. edc3 in deutz is not available in deepsea 7320mk2 haw i can connect to the dse . volvo with edc3 is available can i choice that?

Check mo mona ang communication wire kong walng putol or lose tapos kong may EST TOOLKIT KA doon mo pwedi ma troubleshoot doon mo malamn ang alrm ng ecu mo
Ecu amber means that there is common alarm happening in you engine wich detected by your ecm now ecu red means its already problem that cause shutdown in your engine now do one thin what engine you have if it is perkins thin use EST TOOLKIT to identify exactly what going on in your engine where you can connect to your ecm
Now if you have EST toolkit there you can see exactly there alarms in your acm that the give feedback to you module ecu amber to make you easy trouble shooting
The Existing controller ComAp it broken, now I fixed New Deep Sea 8610 after Fixed I start gen set it show Alarme as following 1- ECU Amber 2- ECU Current DTCs( Engine Diagnostic lamp low voltage, or short , SPN= 1266, FMI=4, OC=54 ) Thanks you
