This is very nostalgic. It's really giving me the 90's vibes! I remember nung nag bbyahe pa kami nung mga time na to, you can see the neon-lit billboards all over. Tapos malawak sa pakiramdam ung EDSA dati kasi wala pang MRT and di pa ganun karami sasakyan although traffic na rin talaga before.
01:14 Guadalupe Bridge, Northbound 01:37 SM Megamall - I remember it was only half-finished around this time (basement was closed, 1st to 3rd floor only open and Mega A, just started working at Tektite in Ortigas fresh out of University) 02:33 The EDSA Shrine still has that golden hue in the morning. I always walk past it going to work, as the POEA Bldg. was the dropoff point of California Bus Line (yellow bus). Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Time really flies so fast. I was just finding my place around the corporate world during the time this video was taken; now I'm retired with 3 grandkids haha!
Juicy Fruit! Thank you po
I remember during this time of my childhood npaisip tuloy ako kung anu gingwa ko nuon at ng pamilya ko during that time hbang gingwa ang video n ito. Salamat s nag upload! 👍👍👍😊😊😊
Whenever I see old videos like this that is what comes to my mind as well.
I got a great look at EDSA before it became a traffic nightmare. The video gave me a hint of what it's like there before significant development that radically changed the face of the metropolis.
1:02 Guadalupe, just as I remembered it in my childhood. We used to eat there at Jollibee's beside GuadaMall every Sundays, around late 80's early 90's. The way the area is shown in this video is exactly how I recalled it when I was a child, only less dream-like.
02:20 Galleria Corporate Center.. Napaka cool and nostalgic.. Almost 25 years ago.. Jampacked
Ahh the famous GE and NIKE billboard. Kingofkings pa yun lagi nasasakyan namin or colombus o kaya naman metro bus pag ordinary.
Brings back good memories of my stay in Manila cause I’m from Davao city. Now I’m here in America and hopefully one day to go back to Philippines when I retire.
Waw, bagong bago pa ang Megamall at Shang on this video. I remember nakapasok kami sa Megamall noon with my Mom and Dad kasama yung little sister ko, mga 1 month pa lang ata yun since its opening nung 1991. It was my first time to hear a live band performance. The song was "I'll Wait for You" performed by a local band named Hayp. I was on my fifth grade then. Memories.
In 1977 when the only interchange at EDSA are Magallanes and Balintawak, the underpass were only Aurora and Shaw, here are the EDSA traffic lights from Monumento to Pasay Rotonda. 1) Project 7 2) Roosevelt/ Proj 8 Rotonda in Quezon Ave and East Ave 3)Kamias/ Kamuning 4) New York 5) P. Tuazon 6) Boni Serrano 7) Temple Drive Boni Ave intersection is closed 8) Buendia 9) Ayala 10) Pasay Road 11) Aurora Blvd 12) Taft Ave Back then when riding in JD or DM buses you need to close the window becauseof the wind as the busses ran very fast
BIOMAN,MASK RIDER BLACK,MACHINEMAN.. Sayawan sa bulubundukin, street parrty bihira tao hindi traffic, malinis @t and white tv ng karamihan ..kahit minsan brown out masaya kabataan ko nung araw.sarap balikan 80s at 90s ..38yrs here ..
No mrt railways yet during those years but i was already part of the plan..if this was 1992 i m only 16 then..my secondary school located along edsa near sm annex...
so nostalgic! 1st year-2nd year HS pa lang ako nito.. nothing much has changed forward to 1994.... i studied at AMA Makati college. coming from pasig, everyday ako dumadaan sa edsa and this is what i used to see. grabe. dati, bina-balewala ko lang ito.. fast forward to 2021, nakaka-miss din ang mga ganitong sights sa edsa.. di masyado ma-traffic noon. pero take noted, come rush hour, since wala pa MRT 90s, sobra din traffic pauwi from makati to ortigas (Galleria) or to cubao.. and mahirap na din sumakay kasi wala pa noon FX, MRT, GRAB, ANGKAS, etc.. sobra dami tao sa crossing, galleria, and cubao kaag rush hour.. still, brings back old memories.. haha.. many thanks!
5yrs. Old pa lng ako nito pero parang sarap balikan. Ng mlaman ko kung ano gingawa ko ng time na to hehe Kung pwde lng ibalik lhat ng panahon at parang maluwag pa ang edsa dto that time
1992 was my college days at UST. Sikat na Megamall nun but being from QC so SM North na lang ako. But I remember my classmates nag kayayaan sa Megamall nun pero di ako sumama. Then a year after Megamall will serve as my second home kasi I worked at Triple V Express which was located in the bridge connecting Bldg A and B. I stayed there for 6 months kaya nakabisado ko Megamall nun. Puntahan ng mga artista at sikat ang Megamall nun because those years ito na ang high-end na malls sa Pinas. Kaya madami akong nakitang artista nun at mga basketball players lalo na pag last full show dun nanunuod ng sine sila.
Ang Aliwalas wala pa MRT. Yung old Mega Mall yung time na diyan kami namimili nga laroan pag sale.
I remember the old days during my childhood we also shopping at shangrila megamall. Every sundays.
" Love so Right " Bee Gees @ 4:58
Seing Abc mall Guadalupe brings memories, highschool ako noon time na to. I remember those cinema billboards every time I rode the Jeepney going to school.
1:21 Nostalgia talaga. Naaalala ko pa yung San Miguel Beer, Great Taste tsaka Firestone. Sa kaliwa nyan (southbound), Penshoppe. :)
Oo Noon 1990s LED Ng SMB Great Taste Firestone 2000s Sun Cellular Apo Steel Bench LED AD PLDT Van Hausen Standard Chartered Petit Monde Canon Bench Gingersnaps 2006 Srenson RCBC 2011 Added 2 Billboards Bench/ 2020 LED Billboards Please Reply
Sarap bumiyahe dyan sa EDSA way back 1992 to half of the 90's nung wala pang MRT.
BIOMAN,MASK RIDER BLACK,MACHINEMAN.. Sayawan sa bulubundukin,no street parrty bihira tao hindi traffic, malinis ilog.black and white tv ng karamihan ..kahit minsan brown out masaya kabataan ko nung araw.sarap balikan 80s at 90s ..38yrs here ..

Hindi pa ako pinapanganak nung 1992. I watched this video to get a glimpse of how places looked back then. Ang aliwalas ng lahat. Nag-eexist na yung mga tambayan kong Megamall at Shangri-la Plaza, tapos tumugtog pa yung Love So Right ng Bee Gees sa radyo. No heavy traffic din! Na-realize kong pinanganak ako sa maling generation. 😄
Those were the days when we can still say the words... “Tara! Joy ride tayo!”😂 Millennials wont understand it... coz of traffic and gas prices... missing those days...
