It gets a little meta because fate is a predetermined thing in our world and the developer is making sure that Miquella's destiny is fulfilled through the players making Radahn's efforts in sealing fate pretty much futile.

I sincerly think Miquella Sent Malenia to kill Radahn since Radahn and Selia didn't do any trade's with Miquella. If you allow for some creative Lore speculation, You can find Miquella in almost everything in the base game. Even the Caria royal family has some connection or relation with Miquella but there's nothing about him in Caelid, aside from Saint Trina.

But also, I am entirely convinced that the magics of the stars, the moons, and the primeval current (if they are not all the same) were present in the Lands Between before the Elden Beast and it’s yucky grace rock, and were the more likely origins of life long before the Erdtree’s Crucible. For reasons. That is, if it does not turn out that the Lands Between was entirely, physically built by titans who just wanted a pretty garden. I mean, someone put all that black stone architecture inside all the ground, or the ground was put within, around, and atop the carefully crafted support and retention structures for this neat garden. I mean, the aqueducts cover the whole freaking place, nothing better than an easy to water flower garden. Amirite?
