Elder Christofferson’s ‘Doctrine of Christ‘ PARADIGM SHIFT, BLOWS EVANGELICAL'S MIND? An AMAZING LETTER from a Sincere Seeker, and an Amazing Talk by Elder D. Todd Christofferson!
This is why we LDS don't have crosses on or in our meeting houses or homes. Christ isn't on a cross anymore, He is at the head of His Church. Alive and guiding His Brothers and Sisters to Glory through direct revelation!
Trail Reeves name has been added to the Jordan River, Utah Temple prayer list. A lot of Saints around the world will be praying for you Trail. You're amongst amazing people of God. In the restored gospel of Jesus Christ we love and support one another.
If our faith is built upon whatever convincing argument we, as mortals, can put together, our testimony is built upon sand. As soon as a better argument comes along, we no longer have a foundation and our former testimony will simply crumble. However, if our testimony is built upon revelation from God. Our foundation will be built upon His rock. Whatever clever argument comes along is nothing compared to the wisdom we know from the hand of God by revelation. In fact if we have a question, we cannot answer we can return to Him and ask in faith. We need not throw away what we already know, but we should faithfully wait for His answer.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful talk! I'm so thankful to know without doubt, that this church is indeed Christ's only true church on earth today !❤
Current revelation is extremely important. I've been studying scriptures every day for decades, and I don't know the Bible as well as David because we get new, current scripture every 6 months through living prophets at General Conference, besides the extra scriptures of the restoration to study. Contemporary scripture is even more important than ancient scripture. Elder Packer told an experience about when he visited Denmark with the president of the church, Spencer W. Kimball at the time. After an area conference Pres. Kimball wanted to visit the Vor Frue Church, where the Thorvaldsen statues of the Christus and of the Twelve Apostles stand. They stood by the statue of Peter, who is depicted with heavy marble keys in his hands. President Kimball said to the stake president with unaccustomed firmness: "I want you to tell everyone in Denmark that I hold the keys! We hold the real keys, and we use them every day." They went to the back of the chapel and President Kimball said to the custodian: "These are dead Apostles." Pointing to Elder Packer he said, "Here we have the living Apostles. Elder Packer is an Apostle. Elder Monson and Elder Perry are Apostles, and I am an Apostle. We are the living Apostles." Elder Packer said the custodian, who up to that time had shown no emotion, suddenly was in tears. www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/liahona/2012/06/the-honor-and-order-of-the-priesthood?lang=eng#aside1_p1
AMEN! We need you Trail! We need you to join us as Saints, join the Saints in Wisconsin. Come unto the Lord, as a little child and you will find His Church with a true foundation (…prophets and apostles, see Ephesians 2:19-20)…exegesis and hermeneutics will never be a true foundation for Jesus Christ’s Church. We are a persecuted people, why? Because we follow Christ’s living prophets. Period. His true church is a LIVING Church with revelation from God.
David. My husband and I are so grateful for you and for your years of striving to find the true gospel of Jesus Christ. We feel that you were watched over and saved and prepared for this time. Now we have the internet and the world is deeply overshadowed by the mist of darkness. Evil is rampant. You are a beacon of light in this deeply dark world. Your testimony and your ability to share it worldwide, thanks to the internet which was made for this purpose, is having a profound effect on, I hope, thousands of truth seekers. You will go down in history as being the most powerful missionary the church has known. Thank you for dedicating your life this past year to this most important work. We pray for you to be strengthened and blessed and protected and watched over. You are on the lord’s errand and you are doing a marvelous work in a wonderful way. Bless you!!!! Please stay strong! Satan works hard on the lord’s followers. Hurrah for Israel!!!
Watch the last dispensation podcast podcast kirtland Temple interview He says he is a born again, charismatic, Evangelical member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints It is so great interview
Trail is an old classmate of mine in high school. I've been in communication with him over the past few years. He was baptized a member today before conference started today.
Your audio is sounding great David. Thank you for sharing this talk. It's such a great way to be refreshed on such great and inspired words. We are so blessed and I am so very grateful! You're an inspiration David!! Trail Reeves name is on the Rexburg temple prayer roll. I pray you will read the Book of Mormon and pray with sincerity and real intent about it's truthfulness.
Mormon ("a disciple of Jesus Christ the Son of God") is a highly honorable name but now is the right season to yet again revive attention to the full name... may we avoid rattle-canning it and convey full respect
How does one , as a member of Christ's restored Church, make sense of those who teach, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ could be infact new creatures in Christ..? Having new hearts, or are they lying? Verses what we teach.. baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, etc.. Are these two mutually exclusive? What we teach vs what they teach..
I would think yes, they can be new creatures in Christ. We have the fullness of the gospel but any step closer to Christ is a good and life changing step. He changes and draws all men to Him and there are many people who truly have their heart knit with Him in and outside of our church and there certainly are people in and outside of our church who say they are new creatures in Him but really are facing the wrong direction.
I believe God is at work in the lives of all people. He loves each of His children. He will not, however, override their agency. Here is a talk by Elder Renlund that describes the difference covenants make in our lives: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tSq1lF_Py3g.htmlsi=J7N7ofZuwB4RzEC- It is well worth a viewing to clarify understanding of these important doctrines.
Fantastic! Prayers for you, Br. Trail! Go back and re-listen to what "David Again" has said in past videos about comparing "heart knowledge" versus "head knowledge" ! This was a HUGE epiphany for me, and greatly helped me understand why I'd had such a protracted and difficult time accepting the Restored Gospel after the missionaries taught me so well, for so many months.
David you amaze me it took me obviously decades to understand the Restored Gospel and you in a year have understood more than I understood in several decades! "There is no salvation without revelation" -Bruce R McConkie
Wow, Rhonda! Tell me how you REALLY feel! LOL! In all seriousness....you are in control, Rhonda. If you want to "get to the talk", and don't like how much introductory "gabbing" I do....all you have to do is grab the timeline at the bottom of the video and move it forward till it "gets to the Talk". You don't have to listen to me at all, if you don't want to. I do my best...to just say what I am inspired to say...and I plan to keep doing my very faulty best to do that. It's funny, really. Some wish I would talk less...but very many, whenever I mention that some want me to shorten my remarks....flood me with contrary commands, telling me they want me to talk more and longer! So I don't do this...as a "people-pleaser"...I simply try my faulty best to obey the promptings and inspiration of the Holy Ghost...and let the chips fall where they may. Much love, David
