I have had this pedal for a long time...a couple years?...still haven't scratched the surface...but for the limited stuff I've used it for,...gold...can't go without it....
Thank you for the demo in stereo. Every other demo was titled stereo trem, but they were running it in mono. Absolutely mesmerizing. I usually click through thinking, "I've heard enough. I get the idea. On to the next thing", but I couldn't stop listening. I'm still rewinding so I can keep listening. Oh, and your playing skills are really impressive also.
Superb demonstration. This and Mod-Rex are my favourite pedals though feeding Super Pulsar with Deluxe Big Muff with an expression pedal is my weapon of choice.
Excellent demo. Gives far greater indications of the possibilities therein than other demos, even EHXs. Closer in ability & features to the Hologram Electronics Dream Sequence than I had ever imagined. And you play beautifully. I could’ve listened for longer. What is the guitar please?
Hi! thanks for the video... it is so rare to see someone using a super pulsar in this interesting way. Just a question, because I'm on my way to buy this nice toy. I've read in an answer from you in a comment below the configuration you used for this setup but: how do you sync the volca to the SP? what kind of signal do you use? Do I have to use a CV output from a synth? (I have an octatrack 1 and an analogkeys) It's some kind of hard to find straight forward infos on how to control the clock with synthesizers. Any help would be very appreciated from you and everyone! Thanks and congratulations
I am at work again, coming back around to getting one. an interesting review said they loved the pedal but the tap tempo doesn't work in band settings. though I would be recording at home with it, and don't think perfect sync is the most important thing, but has anyone else heard of the difficulty of syncing it with a band?
Hey I'd love to know if it's possible with this pedal to get the guitar volume to 0. So it's just the tremolo effect coming through the output? Thanks Great great video.
Would really like to know the signal chain here, can see two loopers, plus the 8-Step Program which I guess is clocking this, and itself being clocked by midi? Or perhaps the clock sync comes from the Volcas...
very cool groove man, just lovely. would love to know details of whats going on here? signal flow, pedal order etc... Its inspiring! do you have the EHX synced to the beat with midi or are you tappin' in?
Yup the Super Pulsar is synced to clock by a Korg Volca which is held in place by a master midi clock in this case a Beatstep Pro. I have an infinite reverb before the pulsar, and delays behind it and then finally the Infinity looper last in chain, in that way I can create a droning cloud of sound, cut it up by the Super Pulsar, play around with new subdivisions with the delay, and then finally loop different parts and layers. Besides all of that everything is set up in both parallel and serial which means the two korg volcas (now Sample and Bass) is in sync with the pedals and can be routed to the FX and looper. The mighty step sequencer Beatstep Pro can furthermore take control over the Super Pulsar via the expression input ... 64 steps of programmable tremolo ;o)
Great video! I just purchased this pedal and the only downfall is that you have to buy an extra peice of equipment to sync it up to tempo. All of my other pedals and racks are synced through midi. Sort of a bummer there
this is not my account, at work, but I wanted one of these from my music people, american musical, they do the stretched payment thing, this thing sold out really fast and never came back. I really want one! ALSO, from what I see, there is so much you can do with this, I have the zoom ms 50g and I love it, but it has so much you can tweak and do, I have it raised up and on a platform then running back into my signal chain, so I can use it standing up. this looks like it needs that attention as well. on the ground you will get impatient, tweak it a little and just play, plus your knees.....I really want one of these, too bad no one is playing this with reverb and delay like I would, I want to hear it in an ambient dreampop shoegaze format
Because of what @Lalo said and (or mostly) because small knobs mean fast action, and big knobs mean slow action, besides that with the nice feel of resistance from the pot a small diameter rubber coated knob makes sense ;o)
