@@jfb- I guess people back when Ikoria came out thought it was too expensive and it was a rather janky/gimmicky 6 mana enchantment with cycling. Little did they know...
at 20:00 they oopsed because of a fairly big misplay they made, they discarded a land to rankle and kets a card nightmare can take, rather than keep the swamp and discard the card nightmare would take so you'd fizzle the duress mode
Your previous ultimatum deck was one of my favorites to watch and play and it helped me get to mythic! Cant wait to see what’s in store, keep up the great work :)
Thank you CGB! I genuinely laughed when you also laughed in the end with the Ultimatum and the "44 vs 7 life", made me feel nice! Thank you for your content! :D
CGB, you beat me again and I very much wanted to win this game. Kudos, man, for doing it with a sweet deck like that. P.S: I missplayed 1 or 2 times, "Oops" was cause of my missplay there! Keep up the amazing work, man, you're a wholesomeness to behold in the mtg community! (And a monster of a control player.)
With the Thorn Mammoth and Kogla triggers stacked, I flashed back to one of your previous videos: “gotta order those triggers kids!” Keep up the great work! CKC
While I still enjoy watching others play magic and will continue to monitor the the game occasionally, I’m so glad I uninstalled MTGA. World Tree is a ridiculously powerful land. 4x field of ruin will be a must in every deck now between this card and crawling barrens.
@@fastydave - lol. You must be new to magic to not see the potential power of this card (on its mana fixing alone even) and in every format no less. Regardless of people putting field of ruin or not, this card is hella op and will most definitely be banned/restricted, as is the standard now for this game every. fucking. set. I bet you’re the child that thought omnath was balanced too lol
0:16 Good part starts 6:35 Game 1 16:48 Game 2 28:01 Game 3 44:12 Game 4 56:33 Best part 58:47 I... I am? OMG!... no one's ever said that to me before.... But on a more... fowl note... no ducks or geese were spotted in the making of this film. On the other hand there were some rogues who didn't have crabs.
Opponent said oops in that 2nd game, because he could discard the mire’s grasp rather than the land, when he forced the discarding from rankle. Then when the nightmare triggered you would just not be able to discard anything and he at least keeps the land.
"Just takes work to battle Rogues" That it does! I've been winning often against them using the Dimir Shark deck you played early in Shark Week and a Half but with a few adjustments. Added a few Crawling Barrens, Bloodchief, and Negate. It has been a lot of fun playing 20 minute and up matches. Counter all their Into the Story, Clinging my grave to make their Drowns useless on the stack. Paying one black to kill the majority of their creatures with Bloodchief. Good times
In Minute 6 and followed, you good Sir, claimed patend over the single Attacking Land in your Deck. I am playing a single Mishra´s Workshop or its follow up versions as a single copy since 1996. Played it even on tournements in europe. I clearly challenge your Patent. As usuall americans trying to patent ideas from europe. This is impertinent sir. I claim not to invented it myself, so I demant appologies for all Fans of Fighting Lands as a singleton in there deck. Semper Servus Ernst Ellert
If you play rogues in the play queue you should be put on a list and have to spend 5 minutes searching for a match so that when I scoop to your turn 1 crab/enforcer you get to stare at the loading screen for another 5 minutes
@CovertgoBlue if your neck is hurting try raising the height of your monitor. It will naturally cause you to look more up. Maybe even bring it close to your face.
When your opponent countered the Cultivate, I thought of all the times I kept a two lander and prayed the Rogue gamer wouldn't counter my Birth of Meletis...
24:00 Heartless Act kinda kills Barrens too, removing 3 counters, and if the opponent spend two turns activating it, you kinda Time Walked him removing 2 counters when he tries to add 3rd and 4th when hes so short of mana
I tried the deck yesterday and accidentally played BO3 instead of BO1. Had Gruul as opponent and destroyed him despite missing sideboard. The deck has made me mega much fun! :D
Emergent Ultimatum, miss the days in which you could cheese out absurd payoffs like Nissa/Big Liliana/Planewide Celebration, or Omniscience/Agent of Treachery/Thassa... Terrible memories Day 20 of asking CGB to make 5c Yorion
Man, the rogues came out today. But now you guys see how saulti control can be cool. But enigmatic etrata is cooler, because it has a jank card. Anyway how long is it going to take for the one in best-of-one to duel the #1 rank mythic player?
Definitely agree. I've been playing with this a lot recently and the flexibility it adds is a huge help when picking what to grab with your ultimatums. It being a land also makes it useful to draw early unlike the rest of the payoffs
Doesn’t heartless act also hit barrens? A 0/0 that’s a land still dies right? I feel like maybe most people just forget about heartless act’s other mode.
