It makes me happy this album is appreciated. For people like me who were on this adventure with him it was painful to watch. He got everything he wanted and lost Proof early on. The same year heath ledger overdosed he did as well. Recovery and relapse show this evolution of a human being. Recovery is when he started being sober. I'm super proud of him as an artist and a human being. Royce is also sober. People who work on addiction are the new cool.

Eminem was addicted to prescription pills. They almost killed him. He talks about it on his song, "Arose". That one's easily one of his most emotional tracks. Y'all need to check that one out if you haven't yet.

Its so fun to watch your reactions to EM. Just goes to show that his music touches every life, every age, and every time in ones life. I get a little emotional watching you all discovering new music, your reactions makes my heart happy. So happy to see your musical evolution and appreciation for lyrics, not just the hooks. Em's music is deep and even today I caught new meanings to his bars. Thanks for bringing a little joy into my life. As for the brand new Pappa and the new Uncles I wish nothing but joy and good health and happiness for that beautiful little baby. I hope that the Mamma has a fast and easy recovery and I know that the babies Uncles and other family are gonna be there for this beautiful, new family in good times and the hard. Trust in each other and remember to really listen to your partner, child, family, friends etc when they are talking or complaining, its the listening and trying to understand what someone is trying to say rather than formulating a reply in your head while the other person is still speaking that can cause conflict in a relationship/friendship , particularly during stressful times like bringing home a new baby etc. So just listen and try to understand and not take things too personally when your partner is upset and vice versa. That's the best advice I can offer as a therapist and remember to love, play and practice kindness as that baby is gonna pick up on everything you do. Blessings and good wishes to you all and a very Happy Holiday season and even better year to you all. Oh and learn to ask for help when you need it, most people want to help.

This is my favorite Em song ever, actually it was this song that made me a fan.. the fact he could make such a commercially successful inspirational song where most those listening to it weren't even catching the scheming and crazy bars, like the tooth scheme, was crazy to me. "You said you were king but you lied through your TEETH, so fuck your FILLIGNS/FEELINGS, instead of getting CROWNED your getting CAPPED." Then I loved the way he ended it having been through a divorce myself, "I been through the RINGER💍 but they can do little to the MIDDLE FINGER". also loved the scissors bar you pointed out, and the "like a fuck you for Christmas, his gift is a curse" bar. Been down that road and decided enough was enough....I was tired of fighting my demons and walked out of it myself....for myself....and never looked back. This song speaks volumes and hit home for me. Prayers for all those that are still fighting. It's a hard uphill battle...but once you get to the top...and look down...you wonder why you even went there to begin with. The fight is worth it!!!!!!

We used to climb our favorite tree in the neighborhood while I'd dub over tapes to record his songs when they came on the radio so we could listen over and over lol. Good memories
