The other good thing about ignoring WS/BS modifiers is Combi-weapons. Ignoring the penalty for firing both weapon options actually makes them even more versatile.

As much as I like Lucius and as good as he is, for the love of Fulgrim he needs a new model.

Unrelated: I had always hoped we'd see an Emperor's Children or Chaos-based game like Mechanicus or maybe Daemonhunters. Don't get to play tabletop, but your videos help alleviate the annoyance : )

Men can’t wait for them to get a codex image them with an army of sisters of slannesh and slaangors.

My current EC Lord is armed with that slannesh deamon weapon that gives D3 extra attacks to his thunder hammer and power fist…the Fatal Sonicry because he can’t hold a gun…+ 3-4 mortal wounds in the movement phase is great for helping to take out Abby , Gazz or a C’tan in 1 turn… I am currently favouring Flames of Spite as warlord trait… instead of Fatal Sonicy I am tempted to try Traitor Mantel ,as it let’s you give re-roll 1’s to a unit out of Lords aura, let’s you perform something like Soporific Gaze once per battle for ‘free’..plus the re-rolls to hit helps you hunt for those exploding 6’s in turns 3+…..

Daemonkin cannot take Marks. But when they are included they can get the Keywords Emperor's Children and Slaneesh. So Daemonkin would not get Fight First or +1 to Hit roll with an icon.

Chosen are even more interesting now that GW just updated the rules so they can take 1 power fist per 5 models. They can get in icon of slaanesh which makes them hit on 2, and their legion trait means power fists hitting on 2. So they're quite a bit more punchy than terminators per point spent.

Fatal Sonancy is good against things like Ghaz, Abaddon and C'tan to get around the 3w per phase cap.

I would like to charge a full squad of chosen out of a dreadclaw drop pod with honor the prince. Is it economical? No. Is it likely to fail? Probably. Would it cause me to cackle like a gremlin if it works, absolutely.

one thing you missed was that all daemon engines and daemonkin gain the slaanesh keyword, meaning slaanesh stratagems also will affect them this gives the auto 6 to hit/wound/damage to a potential big hit from a daemon engine, but also gives units that otherwise wouldnt have it access to the "if the enemy falls back you can shoot them" stratagem with how obliterators are very strong in both shooting and melee now, shoot with them, charge into a melee, if the enemy stays in melee you get to slap them with 12 power fist attacks again, if they fall back you get to shoot them again, oblits are basically the only unit in the codex this stratagem is good on as they are the only one with good melee to make the enemy want to fall back away from them AND with good shooting to make use of the strat at all

pink flavored chaos is perfection

With command points being so scarce, I do try to save them for soporific gaze, incessant disdain and honour the Prince. The others are nice, but these are potential game changers

What is the auto-6 damage statagem that you reference for the havocs?

10 Noise Marines + Abaddon can kill everything

I have not done my army list for EC, but it seems like the Turnament list and a list with a EC Lord, 4-6 Noice Marines, and then spam Terminator Chosen seems to be the good choice. Thoughts fellow players?

I'm disappointed that they didn't get a separate faction book and fulgrim.

Possessed and daemonkin can't have a mark so you can't do the synergies with the powers such as delightful agonies

Hey I got a question for a new player. Is ul'o'cca able to be taken for Emperor children HQ's? It says it needs chaos undivided but it allows me to pick it on the app. They get the passive mark which makes them turn to slaneesh. I just don't know if it's viable cause a buddy of mine brought it up. And I'm uncertain too. Example: On Lord Discordant being my HQ.

As an EC player I still think the Blastmaster with three shots is a bit too strong, two would be enough. I means it´s more or less just 9 points, since you would otherwise take the normal sonic weapon for six points. I don´t know if we should count legends units, but the legend Hellbrute is very nice. He has to equip a multimelta to replace it for no cost with two blastmasters and gets for +5 points a doom siren on top.

from what i can tell you can't have 8 power fists in a 10man terminator squad, only 6 according to wahapedia as far as i understand For every 5 models in this unit: Up to three models can each have their accursed weapon replaced with 1 power fist.

With regards to Unbound Arrogance, wouldn't it be in the opponents best interest to just always choose 3 because the warlord will never get 3 attacks. I might not be understanding that rule right.

The only problem is if the pattern continues they are getting a book of their own next edition so you could end up painting up a few thousand points you can't use in a year or two

You can still use Abbadon for emperor's children list? He doesn't have to just be black legion? So does that mean that he covers anything in the codex so iron warriors also?

the thing i dont like about this ... is that it completely invalidates certain armies from being able to use their big traits... alpha legion, raven guard, alaitoc, and a few others to name a few... in addtition the one thing that kept some flyers safe for a turn is dead too... so havoc squads with las cannons can run around the deployment zone, ignroing all penatlies killing anyhting in their path... im basically saying... they have a rules creep. they need to get their own specialty units and leave it at that with their own codex... just like deathguard, world eaters, and thousand sons

the ec trait does not help with the indirect fire nerf, it is not a -1 to hit, it changes the ballistic skill of the unit by -1

Technically RAW the heroic intervention doesn't let characters move 6", just heroically intervene if there's an enemy withing 6", then move 3"

Lucius Doomsiren has RAW 3 Damage in half range and it didnt get FAQd might still be an oversight but ye.

Adorn the Canvas Eclectic is the worst secondary of all the Legions, it is super easy for your opponent to leave you with 0 or 1 point each round, utter garbage.
