Thank You Sir for this valuable lesson, much appreciated,Best Greets, Paul Ps.Not long ago , I had me an estate pipe the chamber of which was reamed to bare wood, then I filled this thin walled bowl almost full, and wasen't paying enough attention to my cadence, suddenly there was a slight burning wood smell risein, after emptying the ash I noticed a sling burnout inside the bowl, which I did level with the aid of sandpaper and now I'm trying to build a protective layer of cake using some light coat of honey, this method usually helps in building a cake but at the same time makes pie smoke hotter because of sugars in honey, I have had this happening before ,again with thin walled naked bowl
Nice video! I’ve always been too afraid to attempt a bevel, might give this method a try. Would some paper glued to a ball work the same way you think? I think I’d prefer to keep the pipe stationary and curb my clumsiness. ;) Thanks for sharing!
Unrelated, but do you know of any way to make a make-shift 9mm filter adapter for 9mm pipes if you choose to not use a filter. Kind of how Savinelli makes 6mm adapters for their pipes.
