Weaver was my top choice of the available options for D Coordinator, good hands-on coaching background, and working in and with that Ravens system has to be a plus. Weaver has more than the least amount of experience I would have wanted and actually am glad they stayed away from older coaches so a good pick in that sweet spot between up-n-comer and set-in-their-ways types (coughangio.. cough😅)

No, we do need time off. Us who work two jobs to make ends meet, like to do other things. Other sports we follow, other hobbies. Some of us got lives outside of Dolphins football, my guy. My only question was, exactly what Poup said, why wasnt he promoted to the Ravens DC position if hes that good? If he works out, he can eventually replace McDaniel when Grier gets fired and be the next Mike Tomlin.

My first question to Weaver…Patrick Queen said that they knew what the Dolphins were doing because there were tells. What were those tells?

All the teams in the playoffs used 2 TE and they run ball especially inside run .all the teams had strong trench play on both sides of the ball

Do we know anything about Weaver's defensive "philosophy"? Is he more of a Flores/Boyer high pressure (blitz happy) or Fangio (bend don't break - 2 high shell) type? You touched on this in the podcast but it may impact the players they target in FA & the draft.

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard “he’s a well respected coach” or “he’s a highly sought-after coach” I’d be rich. They said all that about Philbin and Gase! It’s all about proving it to me!

So this is a serious question. Has the game evolved to the point where the terms 3-4 and 4-3 no longer have meaning? Everybody knows what a 3-4 was. Nose in the middle. Paul Soliai, right? Do we play a 2-4-5? Or call it a 4-2-5?

Alain Poupart & Omar Kelly, Why did we waste "X" amount of minutes, to talk about players issues & Fangio? This was suppose to be about what Weaver brings to the Dolphins. His coaching style, his brief history. My other Dolphins content creator 'Fins Up Network - Miami Dolphins Coverage (Ben Morgan)' , spent 10 minutes total on a video on Weaver, and that was it. Tell us the scoop we don't know. Why do you guys always find a way to argue? Please just be informative, and quit "mainstream media" debates.

McDaniels statement was a slight ding on their ex defensive coordinator but more of a buy-in to the Chris Greer philosophy of we need to develop the players that I draft in the house and stick with them and make them the best they can be because that’s what chris Greer‘s dad taught him That’s a fact I think it’s a bad philosophy. I cut bait if I made a wrong selection, chris Greer, double down.

This feels like more of a culture move than scheme focused. It doesn’t matter what you run if you can’t get 11 dogs on the field. I like the hire but it still feels like a one and done for some reason. Dolphins have become either a stepping stone or retirement home. Things need to change from the top and bringing in Louis Riddick as a GM would do wonders because he would be strictly focused on players and staff that can build a winning culture.

Coach McDaniel is a three year veteran and he needs no “gray beard”. Coach Shula nor Jimmy Johnson or Coach Campbell had their hands held. Flores started that coaching with training wheels crap.

Maybe Weaver didn't get the gig because it appeared he was out the door

Omar with another bad take - Fangio was not opposed to player development for Cam Smith. He tried. He was opposed to Cam Smith refusing to participate in his own player development and he was opposed to sacrificing the good of the team to indulge Cam Smith. There's a reason every NFL team took a pass on him and he fell to the Dolphins. Go back and read his pre-draft evaluations.

Most what the Dolphins FO does fails miserably since S. Ross is the owner. So I don’t see why this new DC will succeed. As always, the FO chose a rookie in the position. Someone who has never been a DC. How all these Dolphins coaches will turn the players into tough and physical ?? They won’t very likely and so, another failed season is in view. By they way these two characters are unbearable. Most of the time discuss irrelevant stuff, detour and detour the subject matter.
