@@RickyMyGoat34 I don't know man but so use to disappointment. I'm 49 grew up in CT a Finsfan. Live in Florida now but I'm thinking McDaniel is a great Play designer, must improve on in game decisions and situational football. I mean how many challenges has he lost. He abandons the run game often. He also put his QB in terrible situations and the QB needs to sometimes say...F.U. coach this is the play I'm Calling. Marino and Shula did this
@aaronmoser828
@aaronmoser828 5 месяцев назад
My fear with McDaniel is what you have identified - great play designer but is he capable of making the right decisions in game and leading this team. It’s fair to question whether he can. 3rd & short has been abysmal. Time will tell I guess
@zd9910
@zd9910 5 месяцев назад
Yep. People can rag on the guy all they want. He’s the best option available and has proven he can put a defense together and give players a sense of confidence. He’s a bad HC but we need a DC and I wouldn’t mind one that’s been through the proverbial ringer of coaching experiences over the last 3 years. He’s an excellent candidate and one that brings experience. Campanila is a mistake. Sure Vrabel or belichick are preferably but neither is gonna be a coordinator so that’s a delusional hope.

Omar was the guy who defended players constantly demanding respect from coaches who tried treating them like they were Shula back in the day. Now the guy who said players should be shown respect as grown men are ok to disrespect coaches. This isn’t a social justice issue Omar, respect goes every way, through every level of an organization, and through every race and background.

Omar your ego that has such trouble admitting or even talking about the franchise’s bad decisions is really indicative of the delusional mentality that’s going on around Tua. Embrace reality my friend. We all make mistakes. We are all wrong from time to time. Admitting that is the first step to getting better. Please take the first step in self discovery so that this franchise may move on and WIN.

Man I wanted Culpepper so so so so so so BAD, I remember when the news broke, I went nuts! I still have his jersey. I really wished that turned out. It seemed like the right decision at the time. I wanted us to trade the farm for Vince Young, RGIII, its easy to say Dolphins should have done this, but its so hard to hit on a QB....Physically, mentally, injuries....so much can go wrong

How far you go back…. The one that killed me, when Jimmy Johnson traded out of our first pick20ish…. Before the draft started. When Randy Moss was available. Jimmy was questioned about it before the draft and he said, there’s no way Moss would be there at our pick… Well, he fell and was there for the taking 🤦‍♂️. But we already traded back…. We ended up drafting John Avery at the end of the first round. I’m still mad to this day 😂

QUESTION: Alain Poupart & Omar Kelly....missed when you both, when went live both days. (Have to sleep for graveyard work). A name, for Defensive Coordinator, who I would strongly consider, is Panthers former DC, Coach Ejiro Evero (especially if he does not get the Panthers head coaching job). He also runs the 3-4 defense. Coach Ejiro Evero not only has a long resume, has also coaching playoff experience (Rams 2021-22 Super Bowl run). Plus, he is young. Coach Ejiro Evero, did have the Panthers, play hard, after Coach Reich got fired, as their season ended. This was without a CB1, and sort of without a CB 2. Lastly, Could Coach Ejiro Evero hire, possibly lure a player like Frankie Luvu to the Dolphins? Heard the whole podcast yesterday, and have not heard Coach Ejiro Evero name brought up.

Never wanted Culpeper. I was always a Brees fan. Larry Coker was an OK coach, but he managed a team full of future NFL stars very well. He wasn't doing anything special, Butch Davis put that team together. Dennis Erickson owns the best record at UM. McDaniel has brought in great staff around him, this is technically his 2nd DC hire, but it's not because Fangio failed, Butch Barry, Frank Smith, Daryl Bevel and Wes Welker are all very solid positions coaches/coordinators.

One thing you have to give Fangio. He produced a top-ten defense while not talking to anyone. He did so well, that he gave his tram a chance to beat the Chiefs at home with no offensive help. I may be in the minority, but I ammnotnhappy Fangio is gone.
