I feel for Chloe man. I used to write fanfiction a lot, and getting chapters out used to be real stressful and I'd constantly apologise for my chapters being short. It's sad that they'll probably never finish their story, but I hope they didn't stress over making it too much
Most stressful sht early-teen me dealt with lmfao, I had a set character limit for what I wanted chapters to be, but 1000+ characters per week for a 13 year old was… Stress. I changed to updating every other week, and it helped some, but then I went a whole month without updating… I felt so bad- I tried to make that next chapter the best one cause I felt so bad
dude same i did this super weird thing to myself in high school where i made myself promise every chapter would be like 3-4k words (except for on with great hilarity [it ws four words long]) for 20 chapters and it took me three years to finish it. v stressful and i never once considered just... slowing it down LMFAO. lowkey did it agian this year, three years since finishing my fic and it took me 8 months to write an 8 chapter story lmfaoo (with the length being 31k words that i tried to divide evenly). this seems to be common among fanfic writers
As someone who has a full-time job and goes to school for creative writing, I have to say that you shouldn't feel so bad just because real life gets in the way. If writing and posting cause you intense stress and discomfort, it's probably a good sign that you should find a more enjoyable way to spend your free time. But, if you like writing and it brings you some amount of happiness then do it at your own pace. Don't feel pressured to get content out just because your readers are getting impatient or they're not satisfied with the length of your chapters. If they support and like your content then they will stick around and wait. If not, then to hell with them. You're doing what you love and that's what's important.
Lol same here I had this 2020 fanfic where I promised the readers 1000 words a chapter (it was a challenge for myself, sadly, I failed.) don't get me wrong, it was fun at first, I made like 14 chapters. But then life just started kicking in and I wanted to move on to other things like drawing and stuff lol. I still feel bad for the people that got hyped up on my story - (it had 2k views and 500 Kudos on AO3) my final chapter on that story was a goodbye note. The comments were really kind and understanding but I still feel bad about it to this day. 😔

I sat at a laptop and did the coding for one before when I was younger. I can see how hard it’d be for like a…little little kid though, like idk 10 I guess. The script “codes” are pretty basic, which is expected for a kids app

“Danny Gonzalez” sounds like a normal dude who can get a little goofier and wackier. But “Daniel Gonzalez” just sounds like some middle aged man who scams people on eBay for a living.
nothing describes better the fandom experience than this series tbh. like you get in a new fandom, start reading fanfics, you get really hooked on this one specific story that's like several chapters long and in every chapter the author apologizes for how long it took them to update or that the chapter isn't as good as they would've liked (and you become increasingly concerned for what the heck is going on in their personal life but it's pointless to try to contact them now), and then you get to the final chapter and it was posted in like 2014 and the story isn't finished, and you're left to suffer for the rest of your life wondering if the author's okay??? and how the story would've ended?? i mean i wouldn't know any of this, it's never happened to me, i just have like a friend who's like very much into supernatural or some shit

I used to make episodes and they’re not fun to make at all- it’s obviously not high tech coding but it takes a lot of figuring out with getting them to move and talk and things, it’s why I can’t judge these kids for making bad episodes, it’s a lot of effort aha

Okay so, just some insight here, anyone can make episode stories. I use to write them, though I disabled most of them a long time ago. A lot of the things you wish you could see that she just has in narration is a result lack of knowledge/experience using the episode writer's portal. You have to code line by line what you're doing. It looks like a mix of a television script and actual code. When you're new to it, there are a lot of gaps, but more experience writers would show kisses and being picked up, etc. Spot directing, and layering is really complicated, and I can see the appeal of just say "and this happened", it saves hours lol. On the off chance that you see this and want to try Episode again, some really great user stories I think you may enjoy are; The Girl Upstairs, The New Girl, Stealing Star Boyfriend. Some of the best official stories include; Venomous, Playing with Fire, Behind His Mask. I especially think you'd like Behind His Mask.
People finding out Danny's full name is Daniel has the same energy as when my kid brother learned our uncle Danny's name was Daniel and he cried because he was convinced our mom was lying to him.
I actually just had a similar situation. I have an estranged sister I've only seen a few times in my life. Last weekend I asked her how to spell Jessi, only to find out, no one calls her Jessi but us and everyone just calls her Jessica. I felt so lied too and rude XD
@@zoui8215 There's a movie called Radio Rebel where a teenage girl is a DJ for her school's radio station. The climax of the movie is the school being angry at the DJ and wanting them to reveal their identity, so she does but then other students at the school want to support her by claiming they're also Radio Rebel. It's a joke because so many other people are claiming to be Chloe, the author of this story.
Imagine Chloe years after doing that episode story finding Danny trying to find and she be like: NO NO NO NO DONT BRING MY PAST EPISODE WRITER LIFE BACKKK
Reminds me of that year I spent trying and failing to write Wattpad fanfiction. If some rando ex-viner with millions of subscribers read that I would pass out, wake up, cry, pass out again, get brain damage and forget it for four days, then remember and melt into a puddle of anxious sweat.

I have a theory. EVIDENCE 1) The creator said that the episodes were going to get longer. 2) The creator is missing CONCLUSION The creator is still making the next episode to this day and is trapped in a basement until they finish it. We must save them.
it's absolutely sending me that this chloe girl kept on making promises she couldn't keep over and over again. poor love. my dream would be for chloe and danny to do a collab discussing her thought process and experience while making this episode story.
oh god so true. plus it takes like 15 minutes to work. if you really lathered a lot into your hair it might cause some damage, depending on how long you left it in, but it definitely wouldn’t make you lose any. lol thank you for the opportunity to complain about this trope
@laceyrainbolt5432 LMAO! no worries! My first thought would probably be "why soes my coconut shampoo smell like floor cleaner and not lathering?" Then " why is my scalp BURNING??" There are a lot of things that would have to be ignored before this is even a possibility x)
