Our first residency with a real life co-housing community is done. Thank you Marmalade Lane, Cambridge 🙏❤️🙌 There's so much to reflect upon over the next week or so before we head off to our next destination. Whether that be Costa Rica or Denmark.
It now looks very likely that our next destination is to be Costa Rica because we have received no word from any of the Danish cohousiong communities that we're reached out to that we can definitely stay with them. There is a chance that Permatopia, a cohousing development just South of Copenhagen may accept us so I'm trying to leave it until the last possible moment to book flights to Costa Rica. We should hear back in the next 48hrs so we'll keep you posted.
If Denmark happens then we'll be off as soon as flights and accommodation permit. If we head to Costa Rica then we'll be leaving on or after the 8th December. Why.... because it's £6000 cheaper to transit via the USA than direct flights, but, we can't enter the US until after the 8th November due to Covid restrictions.
Back to todays video...recorded partly from Yateley where Katies Dad lives. Today is one year since we lost our lovely Wiggy/Jools (Katies Mum) and the whole family is coming together to remember her and support each other. In due course Katie and I will do an in depth review of our time at Marmalade Lane but for obvious reasons now isn't quite the right time.
A big part of today's video is from an interview with one of the residents here at Marmalade Lane, Helen. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed talking to her and listening to her. I really hope you enjoy the conversation as much as I did.
We're really looking forward to sharing our learnings from Marmalade Lane with you over the next couple of weeks. Lots of interesting stuff to come...
The adventure continues 🙌
